  • "Showed up early for our reservation so we sat at the bar and ended up staying there instead of sitting at a table. Dar is a fabulous bartender and the happy hour menu is great! The ebi roll is by far my favorite"

  • "I wish they would open a Roy's in Chicago area. We have wonderful meals every time we are in Rancho Mirage. Can not beat Roy's Trio of Mahi Mahi, Salmon and the amazing Butterfish. Roy's never disappoints, and we try to stop in as often as possible when in Palm Springs!"

  • "Food was good and the service was attentive. They had required Valet parking, it really was not needed. The surface parking lot was twenty feet from the front door."

  • "Very attentive service team lead by a very professional server"

  • "Service was top notch from everyone we dealt with and the food was imaginative and extremely well prepared. The dessert martinis are a great finisher. This was well worth the visit."

  • "A really good spot for excellent service and very good food. The staff really pushes to make your experience memorable. I would go back for the ambiance and the service. The food is also very good, but I really liked the attentiveness of the server, without being overbearing. He knew the menu and was able to expertly describe the menu and make appropriate suggestions for my tastes. I was able to make the perfect selection and the food was great."

  • "This was our favorite restaurant in Rancho Mirage, however they have cut back on the amount of food served and the wine quality was very disappointing!"

  • "We have now eaten at Roy's Rancho Mirage five times over the years and it continues to get better. The menu is innovative, the service is superb, and the ambience is wonderful. We had our 8 year old with us and they were so attentive and kind, offering him a free appetizer and dessert. Our food was sensational. Highly recommend Roy's!!!"

  • "Figue is quite a unique restaurant. The decor is amazing with interesting lighting and interesting seating areas. I made a reservation at 7:45 pm and we weren't seated until 8:30 pm - and there were open tables available. So we aren't sure if the kitchen was backed up or the reception area doesn't know how to seat people. They also don't have any buzzer system, so the reception area has to 'go find you' which is ridiculous with he number of people in the restaurant. The food was quite good although I think my special dish was missing one ingredient, which is ok because I wasn't too sure about the salted fish item anyway. My husband dish was a simple pan fried salmon - would have been nice if the salmon was grilled."

  • "We always enjoy our meal at Roys. The food is quite tasty and presented like a work of art."

  • "The food, service and atmosphere were great. It was a mini-reunion of old friends and the waitress was super: patient, gave us all the time we needed, didn't rush us...so we had a wonderful, leisurely dinner. Had celebrated my birthday and a new job at this restaurant a few years ago, so it was absolutely appropriate to return for this special occasion. Thanks for making it really special!"

  • "Very pleased. Service is top notch! Would highly recommend. Had a birthday and anniversary at our table and they made all involved feel great and special."

  • "Great spare ribs! John the waiter was wonderful! And the car valet guy was so polite and kind..."

  • "First time at a Roy's and was well worth the wait...excellent selection of fish entrees which we were looking for. The sampler platter had three kinds of fish and all were perfectly cooked with excellent sauces...Seared Ahi appetizer was also excellent, as was my wife's salad...all in all a GREAT experience!"

  • "We had another great meal at Roy's on our recent trip to watch the tennis at Indian Wells. Noticed that the Classic Mai Taii is back; the ingredients were changed a while back and I have complained about it on my last several Roy's visits at this and other Roy's. We recommend the ahi poke appetizer and the scrumptious Alaskan black cod main. We split the baby greens salad and each portion could have used more dressing. The piece de resistance was, as usual, the chocolate soufflé, which is richer and more dark chocolatety than Fleming's famous lava cake. The service could have been better: my cocktail was removed before I was finished, and the courses were a tad rushed."

  • "We debated where we wanted to go for our anniversary and decided on Roy's. Through Open Table, mentioned it was our anniversary and the extra touches (personalized menu), bling on the table and offer of dessert were special. Server attentive, food we'll-prepared and presented."

  • "Make a big deal for special occasions. Great family place. Not inexpensive especially with cocktailst."

  • "This is the first time I have EVER given Roy's a less than outstanding review. On our last trip to Roy's we ordered our entree and asked that our salad be served last, like we always do. The waiter informed us that "we serve the salad first here" in a very condescending tone and went on to make a big deal about us having our entree as our starter and our salad as our main course. Even if we ordered dessert first that would have been our choice and not up for discussion or review."

  • "Since one of us has a serious soy allergy, we were very pleased that we could get a fish entree (macadamia crusted mahi mahi in a lobster cream sauce) without soybean oil being used in its preparation. t was delicious. The last time we ate there (about 6 weeks ago), the only option we had was a meat entree, disappointing for someone who rarely eats meat."

  • "Normally, Roy's is always a favorite restaurant. This last time was the exception. Even the edemame was soggy and stringy. My butterfish was cold as was the rice and bok choy."
    Dined on 2/19/2014
  • "The staff was attentive though the waitress did not mention chef specials or recommendations . The food needed a bit more flavor (salt which I usually never add) the fish was prepared well and presentation nice. The room was noisy and we had a hard time hearing each other across the table. The chocolate soufflé was very good the scoop of ice cream was very small."

  • "Just a few things... 1) Having booked an early dinner reservation through OT, I would have expected a slightly better table 2) My steak was undercooked the first time out of the kitchen, and while I waited, the did bring us some Ahi Poke to try (without asking whether I was a fan of raw fish, which I'm not), which my wife enjoyed; me, not so much... All in all, the service was great, so I can excuse a kitchen error, and would still recommend this place"

  • "The evening started with excellent Caesar Salads and a glass of Merlot. One meal was a Filet Mignon and Potatoes which was cooked perfectly. The other meal was Salmon and Rice which was also excellent. The meal ended with a chocolate volcano cake with ice cream and decaf coffee. The service was excellent and our cups were never empty."

  • "Love, love, love Roy's. Gotta get my butterfish fix at least once a month! The Rancho Mirage crew does an excellent job from the parking lot to the back door."

  • "I love going to Roy's because you know you'll be getting fresh seafood and great service. It did not disappoint this time. The drinks are fun and the food is outstanding. It's one of the few restaurants in the Desert where you know the seafood is fresh."

  • "We went to Roy's to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. They took our picture, print it and gave us as gift together with a nice printed card. They also served us a delicious desert as courtesy. We felt very special!"

  • "Delicious food, great service, always a sure bet for a wonderful meal."

  • "This was our first visit to this particular Roy's but it will not be our last! The food and service were spot on, which was wonderful since we were bringing some relatives for their first Roy's experience. The dining and bar areas were both extremely busy for a Monday night, but this had no detrimental effect on the food or service."

  • "Roy's has always been one on my favorite restaurants. I originally went to Roy's for the first time many years ago in Hawaii before one was opened in Rancho Mirage. Everyone from the Hostess, Manager and Waiters / Waitresses are very nice and excellent at their jobs! Besides the food being great, you can not leave Roy.s without having their renowned incredible baked Pineapple upside down cake!"
