  • "I'm always pleased with the level of service and food at Rizzuto's. Their Caeser Salad with grilled shrimp is especially delicious. All entrees are made to order and the homemade pasta dishes are wonderful! Meatballs taste like the ones grandma used to make. My guest had another one of Rizzuto's yummy salads. The restuarant is clean, wine glasses sparkle, and the linens are perfectly folded. It's always a treat to go to Rizzuto's!"

  • "The ambience was nice, the food (pizza) was really good. I liked the fact that the pizza was served in only one size, and a decent size proportion. Not the obese American or Mexican food restaurant size proportions that can feed 50 people. I do wish there were more pizza options, but not a big deal. I will go back to try other things on the menu. Our waiter was decent, but kept interrupting our conversation without saying excuse me. My lady friend did ask if I could please not ruin the evening by informing the waiter of his actions. Other than that, I enjoyed myself."

  • "On the spur of the moment my husband and I decided to contact some friends to meet us for dinner. We reviewed the many restaurants in the area and found an open table at Rizzuto's at just the right time. Lucky for us, too. The food was fantastic and wine options very good. The noise level was high, however with these particular friends, that can be a good thing as we tend to laugh A LOT which can be off-putting to others if we are in a quieter space. On the list to go back to again soon."

  • "Despite arriving early for our 7pm reservation we waited more than 30 minutes for a table. By the third time we checked in about getting seated, our drinks finished, we were ready to eat. Fully aware of the waiting crowd on a Saturday night and sympathetic of the hard working staff. The hostesses were very apologetic and found the GM John who also apologized and promised to take care of us. We still waited a bit more but once seated we were very well taken care of. The table was nicely tucked away so we could have some privacy and we were sent a glass of wine, and 2 appetizers as a way of making up for our extended wait. This experience could have turned out very differently had it not been for the quality of the staff. We will visit again."

Also, when visiting this restaurant, be sure to order the veal osso bucco.... outstanding. Another dish we had was the pasta with seafood... also outstanding. The server we had this evening was very attentive and not hovering. Just the right amount of attention."

  • "My first visit was with a large group on a week night. I had the steak. It was good but not great. The second visit was with my wife for dinner on sat night. I had the special rack of lamb. They over cooked it a bit. However, the rest of our meal was very nice. I gave this place a very good because my overall experience was such and I would go back. Be prepared for a loud dining room however."

  • "The atmosphere at Rizzuto's is perfect, as the lighting is at the optimal level for an evening out. Additionally, the scent of a fire and tasty food is also present. The dark wood finish, as well as the wall colors perfectly complement the overall ambiance. The servers are extremely genuine and friendly, and the food is exceptional. I've been to this gem countless times for various meals, and I have never had anything short of a wonderful experience and sensational food at each occurrence."

However, our seats were crammed into a small room with several other two-person tables (which was probably just the setup for the holiday), and I wished the lighting had been dimmer for a more romantic ambience.   • "There are some tables that are more private then others. When I went for my anniversary we requested this little table thats in a front window in a little nook. If you are going just two people, request this table! I would definitely go back because they were so awesome in giving us that particular spot! Other spots in the restaurant can be crowded, less private, and more noisy."

  • "I consider myself kinda a "foodie" and it was my birthday. My husband said I could go anywhere, West Hartford has so many great restaurants). I had seen the Rizzuto's chef on NBC CT a couple of weeks ago and he prepared this wonderful appetizer with grilled shrimp and prosciutto on a brussel sprout slaw. I knew then that that is where I wanted to go. I really enjoy it there i.e. atmosphere, food and service. My only disappointment was that I had mentioned it was a birthday dinner when I made the reservation and it went unnoticed. The staff, however, was very accommodating in seeing that I got the booth that I had requested."

  • "We had a reservation but waited over 1/2 hour. Meanwhile I went to an open spot at the bar for a drink. The bar tender was several feet away talking to her firends. She looked at me 4-5 times, saw me wave my hand to get her attention, then went back to talking to her friends. Eventually I walked up between her friends, who were sitting at the bar, and asked for a drink. She looked annoyed, made the drink and went back to talking to her friends. When we got our table our waitress brought my wife the wrong drink, spilled it on her iPad, and couldn't answer our questions about several menu choices. Appetizers were good but the main menu portion was extremely small for the price. The food was OK, nothing special."

Luncheon service was abysmal - the poorly trained waiter ignored our party of three, the food took forever to arrive and the cappuccino was cold. Service at dinner was no better - again ignored (perhaps it was because my party of two senior citizens did not order wine; perhaps it was the waiter's desire to serve and communicate with young women dining at other tables) My companion's bruschetta was over cooked to the point that it was not edible and, again, I was served cold (not lukewarm) cappuccino. Rizzuto's has lost a customer."
