  • "My wife and I had dinner here for our Anniversary, and overall it was a good experience. The restaurant had wonderful live entertainment, and although our service started out slow, it got much better as the night went on. The only complaints we had were that the lamb was slightly over cooked and my wife's salad was not done to order. The food was still good, but for the price we were just slightly disappointed it was not exactly to how we had ordered."

  • "it is so noisy that it was difficult to carry on a conversation. They have a piano player/singer who cranks up her microphone and people then talk even louder. The architecture of the place contributes to the extreme noise level....very high ceiling with a glass section. Food was fine - not stellar, but fine. Unfortunately with the prices on the wine list (over three times retail) it is disappointing. A new owner took over four years ago and claims to have spent $1mm on renovations.....he should have paid attention to his air conditioning more than he did because it is terribly inadequate for the size of the space. Sun pours in the windows from the west and it was very hot inside....of course, during ski season it isn't a problem."

  • "My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner. We sat at a nice table on the deck and had a very professional server. We brought in 2 bottles of wine and she informed us there would be a SMALL corkage fee, which we expected. I ordered the surf and turf and ordered my filet medium. My husband ordered Ahi seared rare. Our meals came out and my filet was cooked WELL, but I didn't want to take the time to send it back. It was still good, but way overcooked. My husband's Ahi was also overcooked and not exceptional. When we got the bill, the corkage fee turned out to be $20 per bottle. I don't consider that SMALL! All in all it was a good experience, but I feel the restaurant is WAY overpriced. I won't return any time soon."

  • "OMG...went there for anniversary. I've dined in Park City for 25 years, this was OUTSTANDING, and I'm fussy, being a chef. One of the best, if not the best experience I've had here, and there are great restaurants in this town. The beet salad, spectacular, signature halibut wonderful. So nice to have fish served when not over cooked! Dessert wonderful. Waiter adoreable. Worth every dollar! Nice to not be disappointed when paying for a high end dinner. We will be back!"

You enter off of busy Main St. to find a beautiful and modern setting. Tried some new wines and discovered a very good Oregon Pinot Gris which was a great start to the meal.   • "My wife and I ate ate at this restaurant while on vacation in Park City. We had a 5:15 PM reservation, so the restaurant was almost empty and very quiet. The food was excellent. We shared a stuffed shrimp appetizer, and for entrees we had the halibut and the buffalo rib and crab stuffed pepper. The server recommended nice wines to complement our meal. The bread and herb butter were also delicious."

  • "We have dined at River horse many time yet have never had as bad of an experience as we did last Saturday evening, July 5th. As we looked around, every table was having to yell their conversations competing with the music group up on stage. As the Band Played on they even got louder and then the diners would have to get louder to compete. We went there for a nice relaxing dinner with are 3 adult kids and ended up leaving having felt as if we were arguing because of all the high volume conversations. Usually there is a Piano player who sings a little background music not a ROCK CONCERT. We have had wonderful dining experiences with the River Horse in the past and hope they can address this issue immediately..."

  • "The deck was not available due to a wedding reception. That was fine main dining room was a good choice too. Service is top notch. I ordered the duck confit appetizer. Caution this is a big item. Almost entrée size. Excellent suggestions by server. My wife's Tuna Entrée was a bit rare for her after requesting medium. Item remade and all was fine. No room for desert. Local coupon was good to have."

  • "This is our first trip to Park City and Riverhorse was recommended by a friend. Definitely a good selection. Food was very good, service was friendly and helpful and the overall ambience was perfect for a night out. My wife ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp. It was our favorite of the night. The accompanying sauce was great. It all went well with the heirloom tomatoes she got as an appetizer (not as fresh as ones from CA). I got the trio of meat dinner (elk, buffalo and venison). All cooked perfectly. Reminded me of meals we've had in Sweden. Blueberry dessert finished off a great night. Definitely would go back."

  • "This is my 2nd time dining here. Great atmosphere. This time we ate outside on their balcony- perfect evening. Our group decided on doing multiple courses of appetizers- everyone was happy. I had the beet and arugula salad and the tuna duo appetizer - my friends got the grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon. Good sized portions. Will definitely go back"

Service incredibly attentive. Was not a big fan of the live music but neither was it intrusive. Wine list rather limited but given how amazing the food and service were this is a little quibble."

  • "We were in town for our company incentive trip and took the recommendation of our Event Planner. Everything that we tried off of the menu was delicious. Specifically the Trio of Wild Game - Elk, Buffalo, and Venison was delicious. As was the filet and rack of lamb. For starters the spicy stuffed shrimp was incredible. The wine list was top notch. We went during the summer so the restaurant was nice and quiet. But I am sure the place is jam packed during ski season. We highly recommend Riverhorse on Main."

  • "A surprising and wonderful dinner experience - easily now our favorite place in Park City! Live music on the Friday night we were there added to the nice but not pretentious ambience. The service was more than adequate, but the real reason to go there is the exceptional food, especially the entrees and desserts. The presentation and quality of each of our entrees was well worth the price (which you should know before you go). Also try the goat cheese salad - a nice option to start off the evening."

  • "This restaurant never disappoints. They offer a nice variety of foods from start to finish and from light to very rich. Our oysters were delicate, the salads were flavorful and the entree (which we split) was tender and savory. Top it all off with a beautiful dessert and leave satisfied enough to remember how good the meal was. We brought one of favorite bottles of wine to have with dinner, but they offer a good selection of wines and spirits. Go early if you want a table on the deck that overlooks Main st. The wait staff is attentive and the mellow, live music performed by local artists adds to the enjoyment of a totally memorable evening."

  • "We ordered bacon wrapped shrimp to start (5 stars of 5), PeaShoot Salad (4.5 of 5), Goat Cheese & Tomato (5 of 5), Utah Trout (5 of 5) and also ordered a rack of lamb which had just been taken off the main menu. Our waiter asked the kitchen if they could offer it. The sides with the rack of lamb were beans and sort of a gourmet French Fry - not impressive sides. The rack was small, the flavor was mediocre and the texture was definitely off (Possibly frozen and rapidly thawed?). So 2 stars of 5 for this $40 rack of lamb. And a pet peeve of mine - the glass had lip prints on it - yuck. The hosts did not see the open table reservation comment that this was a special occasion. But our waiter picked up on it and was very sweet!"

  • "It's hard to find a restaurant with so many amazing fish options. We started with the Riverhorse Tower appetizer - everything just melted in your mouth. We both had excellent fish dishes - halibut and sea bass. The wine list was extensive and we found the perfect thing to compliment our dishes. The blueberry cobbler is a specialty and a must for dessert! Service was fabulous. The band (singer and guitar player) played contemporary, laid back music which suited the ambience."

  • "We waited for our waitress for approximately 15 minutes after being seated. During the meal we constantly waited to get our water refilled, getting bread and utensils. Absolutely not the service I expected from this type of restaurant. I ordered a steak medium rare and it came well done. Furthermore, the menu claimed the cut was a fillet, but it was most definitely a sirloin. Possibly the worst steak I have ever eaten. On a good note, my husband's halibut was wonderful. Overall a complete disappointment. "

  • "The Riverhorse has been a favorite of ours for many years, however the night that 4 of us dinned we all had the same food experience which was awful. We had 3 different meat entres and all of them were served with gobs of BBQ sauce making it impossible to actually taste the meat. Hope we just hit it on a bad night but at the prices we paid I doubt we will take another chance."

  • "This neighborhood gem continues to deliver the quality of food and service one expects of an iconic restaurant on Main Street. Tonight in lieu of an entree and soup/salad, I decided to have the Stuffed Shrimp Appetizer, Roasted Tomato Soup, and the incomparable Roast Beet Salad with Pan-fried Prosciutto and Lemon Pana Cotta. This is to die for and pray they never take it off their menu. :-) My server, Kristine, was right on the mark and very attentive. I will say that the piano/vocalist this night was a tad too loud for me, compared to other nights, but all in all I would give this dining experience 5 stars."

It was an excellent choice for the occasion as from the moment we entered the restaurant we were treated as though we were special guests. The wait staff, the wine choices offered, the menu options were all superb. Would we come again? You bet!"
