    What a delight! This tiny, unassuming restaurant served up some of the most delicious, creative food I have had in Pittsburgh! I sadly experienced this a week before moving away! But when I am back in town this will be my first stop! The cocktails were unique and tasty, all of the plates were ordered were fantastic. What a gem!

    The smoked beets were the best single dish I have ever eaten. If not for a mildly disappointing dessert, this would have been one of the best meals I’ve ever had. It was very good and very unexpected form Pittsburg. If you find yourself near it, go!

    Had a great time and a great meal at the Vandal. the Vandal is the only restaurant in Pittsburgh that has the vibe of a great Bistro in Greenwich Village or Soho. Smoked Trout Rillettes were bright and amazing. The Panisse with Broccolini and greens was eye opening and the the Hanger steak au poivre was as great as ever. Fun wines and great service.
