   We have been going to Evangelines for at least the last 25 years. Consistently good food and service. Reservations are a must.

   I went here with my mom for a late birthday celebration. She has dietary restrictions and cannon have gluten and dairy. The server was very helpful and knew the menu well to give recommendations. She also took the time to clarify a few items ingredients with the kitchen. The restaurant has a nice environment and is quiet, in line with the expectations of a higher end experience. My mother liked her wine and my cocktails were outstanding. She had a salad for an appetizer and enjoyed it, the crab cakes and the brussels sprouts were very good. I tried her steak and the cook was fantastic as well as the demi-glace. I had the scallops and the cook was a perfect medium with a nice sear that brought out the natural sweetness of the scallops. I liked the sauce which seemed to be harissa influenced. This is now one of my favorite spots in town.

   Enjoyed the food immensely. Our second time here. We live in New Orleans and visit Tuscaloosa every other month and found this restaurant to be number one on our list! Enjoyed the hostess (Shannon?) and Jackie our waitress. Very attentive. Food superb. Drinks just right! Will go again!
