Mozambique blends exotic adventure with warm hospitality, offering a menu rich with South African influences, including signature Peri-Peri prawns, wood-fired steaks, and flavorful curries. The three-story venue boasts stunning ocean views from its Veranda rooftop, elegant dining in the Durban Room, a lively music scene in the newly renovated Ivan’z House (formerly the Shebeen, updated in July 2024), and a serene garden patio.
Reservations will guarantee a table in our restaurant, but seating area is subject to availability. Please expect an additional wait for Rooftop Seating, Live Music, and other high demand areas. To book a Private Event or a specific table, a deposit will be required in addition to a food and beverage minimum, please contact our events coordinator at 949.715.7107 for pricing.

Complimentary Transportation available! 5pm and later, within Laguna Beach or a 5-10 mile radius depending on group size). For customers w/ dinner reservations only - call to schedule.

    Took my mom and wife for mother's day, made reservations two weeks in advance. we were seated outside down stairs on the patio and seemed to be rather old furniture table wabbled and waited nearly 30 minutes before the server noticed us to take our order. Once he noticed us took our order then took over 45 minutes for us to get our food after asking the waiter to check. The food was ok, however over priced and the service was very poor and over priced will not repeat.

    Food was not good. Entry way very small and congested. Food delivered to servers in the entryway where everyone congregates to be seated! Very disappointed!

    We had a great experience for mothers day. My mother uses a walker and the staff was very good about accommodating her. The owner was there and made sure she was taken care of. The food was great. We started with the beef samosas. I had the Durban curry which was very tasty. My mom had the scampi and my wife the Chilean Seabass. the sea bass was good, but not the greatest we've had.

    I am from Durban South Africa so I really appreciate this place. We have been coming here for 15 years and never had a bad experience. The views and the ambiance is delightful and it's a real showcase for Africa. Live Music, ocean view deck, cute courtyards and energetic patios. Lovely cocktails, great service and delicious food! Well done!

    We dined in the Durban room. Service was excellent. The staff was attentive and very welcoming. We had some special needs and they went out of their way to accommodate us. Burger was good, the pattie was a little thin relative to the thick top bun but bacon was top notch. Filet was nice and very appetizing. Scallops were decent, a little thin and the prosciutto was overpowering on a couple. Not all my veg was properly cooked. Valet is reasonably priced and very convenient. We didn’t sample any cocktails or desserts.

    From beginning to end, the service was absolutely outstanding. The attention to detail, the patience in explaining the menu, and the thoughtful recommendations truly made the experience special. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive and always made sure we had everything we needed before we even had to ask. As for the food it was out of this world! Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Kudos to the chef for delivering an unforgettable meal; not a single crumb was left on our plates. We can’t wait to come back next week and enjoy it all over again!
