   The best “soup and salad” meal I’ve ever had. It wasn’t cheap, but it was really good.

   This restaurant was definitely a great find for us. We had 3 different fish entrees and each one was excellent. The strawberry rhubarb dessert was delicious as well--made fresh upon ordering. I would definitely go back. Our waitress was extremely attentive and the experience overall was terrific.

   Although we haven't eaten at Max Fish in a while, the food and service are still at a high level. The wait staff and hostesses treated us very well. Overall, an enjoyable dinner and evening.

   Toscana salad was drowning in dressing. Food has slipped a bit the past couple of years.

   Had dinner with my fiance and we both are very pleased and impressed. The food was absolutely top notch. Service was impeccable. Had a 6pm reservation was seated 5 min before 6. Was done eating main dinner by 7 Had dessert, coffee and paid check out by 730. Will definitely be back again

   I expected so much more based on prior reviews and pictures. The waiter took quite a while to notice us; so long that we had plenty of time to look over the menu and were ready to order. After taking our order, we waited quite a while before even receiving our drinks (water, soda, and a beer). He asked if we wanted bread and butter. Not sure how slow the kitchen might be, we responded yes. We received the bread with our drinks but we had no utensils to spread the butter. Apparently our table had been reset without utensils or napkins ( had to ask for both). Our appetizers and food came in a reasonable time. The appetizers were good (chowder, raw clams, mussels) but the main course was disappointing. I ordered the warm buttered lobster roll. The roll was burnt instead of lightly grilled. The lobster meat was barely warm, had no butter, and had no flavor. It was tough to chew and lacked the sweetness that a good lobster should have. I was so looking forward to a great New England seafood meal but came away disappointed.
