  • "We dined at Orsays this past Saturday night and the food and service was again outstanding. Our waiter was Patrick and he was very knowledgeable regarding the menu & specials, etc. and at the same time very friendly & fun. By the way, I don't think you can get a better steak anywhere in town and that includes Ruths Chris. Saturday night was very crowded and very loud but we don't mind the noise when the service is as good as it is here. If I had one negative about the evening it was that they had run out of the pan seared red snapper which was the special by 6:30 (that was our reservation time). They gladly substituted pan seared flounder but it was slightly dry. Still our favorite place in town to eat."

  • "I took my wife here for her birthday and baby moon dinner. We were greeted at our table with a glass of champagne. Appetizer was delicious, we ordered the foie gras price (note the salt cured one on the menu is in pate form). For our dinner we both enjoyed the steak frites. The fries were nice and hot and the steak was prepared perfectly but was served a bit cool. Dessert was the black forest cake and their homemade ice creams. We look forward to going back in the future."

  • "Went to Orsay with very high expectations based on the reviews I've read. The food was very good and service was fast. There were 2 main dining areas, the front room seemed very quiet and romantic. The second room, and unfortunately the one we were seated in was much louder and we felt like we were seated on top of the the four person table next to us, who was also very very loud. Other than that, I would put Orsay in the same category as Matthews in San Marco and would certainly consider it one of the best, and more expensive restaurants in Jacksonville."

  • "We keep coming back here, as we can't find better food or service ANYWHERE in Jacksonville.Our server, Brian, was very personable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. Four of us dined here the other day and we were all very happy. I restrained myself from once again ordering the Berkshire Pork Chop, the best pork chop I have ever eaten, and opted instead for the roasted fish, which, that day, was snapper. Spot on delicious. Nice wines, too. Very happy."

Both servers Alexandra & Ben were unbelievably attentive & knowledgable. even the busboy raved about the employee treatment - after work community meal. everyone's excitement for the food was contagious. i can't describe these items as the restaurant does -> we tried oysters, caesar salad, ravioli, filet, scallops, pork gruyere, bread pudding, 4 ice creams - all made with perfection to detail and taste!!! great wine selection too"

  • "Fine dining usually means smaller portions, but Orsay's portions are not ridiculously small. Flavors are spot on. Onion soup with broiled gruyere=amazeballs. My husband nearly licked his and my bowl clean. He said it was better than Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa. Pan fried sea bass, grits, creamed corn, bacon, lobster roe butter, cress: The fish was perfectly seasoned, seared and flaky... the layers of flavors between the sweet and salty was perfect. I nearly licked my plate clean. Lobster pot pie: my husband loved the biscuit, but I wanted a puff pastry traditional pie crust. The lobster was tender and not overcooked and still delicious. We will definitely return!! Love this place."

  • "We arrived early for our reservation and sat at the bar which was a real experience watching the bartenders making all kinds of exotic drinks and even trying to come up with new drink ideas. After we were seated in the dining room, we were greeted by a very knowledgeable and freindly waitress that proceeded to tell us about the specials. As far as the food goes, I can just say it was excellent. I had the Casoulet, which was cooked perfectly, my wife had the special which was fish with spinach and grits and she said it was the best she had ever had. The fish was cooked perfectly and the mixture of the spinach with the grits was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys great food"

  • "This was our first time in Jacksonville as well Orsay. I decided to take my boyfriend there for Sunday brunch as part of his birthday celebration. We both fell in love with the restaurant. You have to try the sea scallop tartare and the house-made pommes frites, fried in duck fat (need I say more). Our reservation was for 1:30pm so the restaurant was pretty quiet which we loved. We were greeted with a glass of complementary sparkling wine to toast the my guy's birthday which I thought was a nice touch. Also our server was very helpful giving us suggestions about what to try on the menu and such. Overall we had such a great time and will definitely return there on our next trip to Jacksonville."

  • "We have eaten at Orsay before, and always had a good experience. This was our first visit for brunch - and we will definitely be back! The Bloody Mary's were the BEST I've ever had - I could have sipped them all morning! Our party of 3 ordered 3 different items, and all were delicious. I was especially delighted with their take on Eggs Benedict - Eggs a la Orsay. As soon as I saw black truffles, I was sold. Great flavor, perfect sized portions. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive and offered just the right amount of attention. This will be on our brunch rotation from now on!"

  • "Very rustic, able to relax. Being separated from the main bar was ideal, no noise in the dinning area, attentive staff, date had seared sea scallops she raved about them. The escargots reminded me of a store bought kit. We will explore their brunch in the near future. Overall great food and service for the price."

  • "Great food, smaller portions (typical French cuisine) but excellent flavor. The Lobster Pot Pie is really a tender small lobster place between a biscuit surrounded by a wonderful sauce. This place fills up quick, got here at 6:30 and within an hour it was packed. Even though the portions are small, I left there satiated. A little pricey, Lobster Pot Pie is $38, but worth it if want a fun dining experience. One of the best restaurants in Jacksonville."

  • "Start with expertly crafted cocktails, then add a divinely marinated calamari dish from the raw bar, plus a sample of fromage and your night will be off to a lovely beginning. The Parisian gnocchi, made with butternut squash, leeks, and swiss chard float in a tasty broth. Portobello mushroom terrine with aspic was possibly the star of the evening. The look of this dish may not appeal to some, but the interesting taste coupled with the texture makes it a standout. Give it a try and you won't regret it at all. Service was attentive and on point for a restaurant of this notoriety."

  • "This one of our favorites in Jax and has been for 4 years. Always fine food and service. Presentation of raw bar foods top notch -- oysters - good selection; blue points my personal choice but they carry exotics as well; shrimp cocktail best in town. On this occasion we came in late so my wife and I shared courses. Pan roasted snapper was superb - over creamy grits and sweet creamed corn with petite water cress to cut richness - fish was perfectly cooked -- thick crispy top - tender and white under. This restaurant never disappoints."

  • "Don't let the neighborhood fool you, Orsay is an absolute gem! From greeting to goodbye, service is top notch, no one on too of you all the time, but you never feel as if you are in dire need of table service. The restaurant team works well together to get food to the table, clean, and reset for the next course. If you've never been, do yourself a favor and start with a light appetizer and cheese plate, being sure to order some of the house made charcuterie; for the more daring or refined pallet start your night off right with the Escargot or some of the fresh oysters! Portioning is perfect for the delicious entrees, and don't skimp; make sure to order an amazing cocktail and stick around for a fantastic dessert!"

  • "I was so excited to try this place out as I've been wanting to dine here for a while. Our table wasn't ready right at our reserved time, so we decided to have a drink at the bar. Very disappointed with the service from the bartender. He provided menus and waters and that was the last time he acknowledged us. Other BT's greeted us, but failed to take our drink order. The rest of our experience consisted of long waits for order taking, appetizer, soup/salad, main course and dessert. I never spent such a long time at a restaurant for 2 of us!! The mushroom bisque was excellent, but the duck risotto and the coq au vin was very mediocre, especially for the prices. Sad that we don't wish to return."

As an example, when ordering our first course, my wife's order was forgotten and I had to remind the waiter. There was no offer of additional bread or wine. As the resturant became full, the noise level was past excessive. I question if I would return for a meal. I liked the bar and might visit for a beverage."
