   Staying at the Grand Hyatt and our first time being in Hawaii AND on our Honeymoon, of course we were excited to attend a luau - however the cost was never mentioned in securing our reservation thru the hotel website or opentable. Came as quite a shock when they checked us in, gave us a meek congrats (since I'm sure they see honeymooners all the time, but still) and said "and payment?" Needless to say we were shocked and made the bar count since the food was not great. In seeing others attend Luaus we saw a more elaborate production and digging up of the pig and it was my involved with the audience. Unfortunately the night we attended the entire front was reserved for an engagement that was celebrated the whole night. We can now say we checked it off, but had we known, we probably would have spent the $250 on ATV tours or a catamaran instead...the only thing that disappointed us about this resort.

   The show was very good. I was disappointed that the event was indoors even though the rain had passed. We were told that the pig had been cooked under ground just for our dinner. It did not appear so. the rest of the food was very good.

   I paid for my son and his girlfriend to go to the luau for his birthday. They said they loved it and had a great time. He also said that the food was really good.

   The food was much better than the other luaus I’ve been to on the island. Service was just ok since the waiter kept questioning why we wanted a second mai tai (mind you the guy next to us was on beer #4) and kept trying to clear our plates before we were even finished eating. The performance was really great. We were lucky to have the show on the front lawn overlooking the ocean. We had some breaching whales, as well, which really added to the experience. Overall, $125 seems a little steep for what we got but I’d still recommend to friends and family since, overall, this was the best all-around luau as far as quality of food, performance and location.

   It was outstanding. From the history, to the traditional dances and song, my family and I enjoyed ourselves. The view and atmosphere at the Grand Hyatt was gorgeous. I'm so glad we chose the Grand Hyatt Luau.

    Worst luau ever 😣 ! The food was quite good, but the entertainment looked like a high-school performance through a totally amateur sound system. We’ve been to Hawaii, including Kauai, many, many times. This was insulting it was so poorly done! Ridiculously overpriced. Pass on it!!!
