  • "Much have been written and said about the unending parade of meat (up to 20 different varieties of chicken, pork, lamb and beef dishes) that will be brought to you, tableside, until the very hungriest carnivore in your party is finally satisfied, but do not neglect the delicious (and seafood replete) salad buffet. I can only indulge in the carnivorous orgy once or twice a year, but I might return just for the salad on other occasions. It's delicious, relatively healthy, and it would be such a treat to leave a churrascaria and not feel like you have just swallowed a small buffalo herd."

  • "We've been to the other "chain restaurant" Churrascarrias but Rei do Gado blows the competition out of the water. Meat selection at Rei do Gado was better with the servers rotating the selections more frequently. Salad bar was fantastic, with crab legs, shrimp, smoked salmon and more. Wine selection seemed endless. Service was very friendly and responsive. My wife and I will definitely return...this is our new favorite."

The reception and subsequent meal were delightful and our hosts looked after us as if we were family! The salad bar was exceptional and the various meats on offer were truly mouthwatering.   • "We had a team-building work related lunch. While this restaurant is primarily meat focused, there is a fabulous salar/side bar. We had a vegetarian in our group that ate just the salad/side bar and was very pleased. For the rest of us, it was a wonderful addition to the menu. It was fun and a great way to spend time together. And, it's across the street from Horton Plaza - bonus!!!"

  • "This is another fine example of a great place to eat. Brazilian Bar-b-q is great food and a fun place to go with friends. At Rei de Gado they give you a choice for lunch. The special for $18 allows you to try 6 meats. If you want to do the regular lunch ($28) you are then served a choice of 12 meats. The only issue I have is everyone at the table must choose the same. So if I only want to do the special, but someone at my table wants to do the regular, we cannot. We must all eat the same. Other than that, food is good. Wait service was a little slow. We wanted coffee at the end of our meal, and we had to ask twice and we waited a long time to be served. I absolutely recommend this as a great place to eat."

  • "I had a group of 5 with me and we made it in at 315 which is 45 minutes before the dinner menu starts. When we got there the first server we had was great he was consistently bringing meats around to us, but then they had a shift swap and we noticed that we stopped having people come to our table with food. Also, they only brought out the same 4 meats for the hour we were there! They started to change out the salad bar items, light candles on the tables, and do other things that were for the dinner menu rather then take care of us. I have eaten here multiple times but I always like to give a place a chance before I rate it to make sure it's not just a one time experience and this isn't the first time I've had poor service here."

  • "My wife and I had a great time on her birthday. I had previously been here but over 10 years ago. So I didn't know if it had changed. It had a nice ambient feel to the place and the food wonderful. Where else can u eat your fill of a variety of cuts of meat. The sides were awesome as well. So much to choose from. It's neat that they keep doing rounds with meat until you turn your wooden knob over to the red side, which means stop. I wouldn't say its a kid type of restaurant. More for adults. The price was fair, I will definitely return. Highly recommend trying it at least once."

  • "We went on the night after Valentine's day. We weren't expecting much. They still had heart balloons up and everything! Including a small show of a lovely dancer (Samba?) decked out in feathers. It was pretty expensive at $50 a plate, but we had an experience to walk away with. Towards the end of the night, I was particularly waiting for a specific dish, the waiter seeing my apprehension asked if he could get me anything. When I asked if they were ready for the Lamb and mint jelly he told me he would be right back. He brought them to me within seconds. I was extremely impressed. The meal was wonderful! Keep up the great work!"

  • "We love Brazillian restaurants however the food had no taste. Our waitress was never around to track our drinks or answer any questions that we had. The lady that makes the specialty drinks came to our table more than anyone. The men who served the meats said there were 16 plus meats and we only saw 6 and often it was the same meats coming over to our table. Will never dine here again."

  • "My husband and I were there recently for lunch. We weren't sure how it would be since we went there at 3 and dinner starts at 4. To our surprise the food in the salad/side bar was fresh, we did not have much but what we had (salad and mushrooms ) was really good. The service was outstanding, our server was polite, he was knowledgeable about drinks and the meat. And last but not least , the meat was just to die for. I could go on and on about the tenderness and flavor, and how steaks sauces or any other kind of seasoning is unnecessary. However, all I will say is that I had two regrets: Breakfast and a light snack before our late lunch/early dinner there. We would be coming back soon."
