Redstone American Grill - Plymouth MeetingPerfect In Every WayHad 6 in our party for our first visit at Redstone. It was recommended by a friend, but couldn't have imagined how good the food would really be! With all the different entrees, apps, desserts and drinks, there wasn't one thing that wasn't great.

Bought my boyfriend's family who has never been there before and they are already planning a trip back. I always get the filet mignon and buffalo shrimp. By far the best buffalo shrimp anywhere. Dessert always go with the huge cookie(size of a skillet) right out of the oven toppling with ice cream, fudge, pecans and homemade whip cream. Other favorites, halibut and prime rib. Looking forward to trying the sea bass and I cannot wait to go there again. Manager stopped by to ask how everything was an even offered us a small taste of the pineapple vodka that sits on the bar. Love the smoky smell from the open fire rotisserie when you first walk in. Very busy but that did not seem to impact the level service like it does in many restaurants. I wish there was a redstone near me. I travelled an hour to Plymouth meeting. I would gladly do that again. Good interesting food n great service. Fab desserts. One complaint...it is way too dark in there. Splashed the table with the Redstone app sampler (tuna, buffalo shrimp, wings and sliders) and the original flatbread-- all was perfect for sharing. I could truely eat an entire tray of the tuna!
We shared 3 entrees for dinner: Meatloaf with marsala sauce, roasted half chicken and the best dish on the table-- braised short rib with gnocchi in a tomato rague.

My "Redstone" burger was cooked perfectly with huge slabs of bacon, cheddar cheese and a tangy BBQ sauce on top! Our server could not have been more helpful. Our soft drinks were replenished without even asking.
Even though we were warned ahead of time about the size of the desserts, we both ordered our own. My friend had the chocolate cake with ice cream, and I had the warm chocolate chip cookie sundae! It was served in a cast iron frying pan with 2 huge scoops of vanilla ice cream, topped with whipped cream, candied pecans and caramel syrup! I couldn't even eat a quarter of the cookie,but I tried to eat as much of the ice cream as possible. My guest had the halibut and it was cooked perfectly. Wine was excellent and affordable. My only concern is that despite booking a reservation time through open table, we still waited 30 min for our table to be ready. Also, the hostess stated "We are just waiting for a table to leave." Well dah. Everyone is waiting for a table to leave! The manager, Michael M., was especially nice, giving personal attention throughout the wait, dinner and after. The food is excellent. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal there. Attentive but not over bearing and always ready to please. We have never had a bad experience with the food- from steak and fish entrees to the best burgers (the Redstone burger is our favorite) to fun and delicious desserts and a great bar. All that and they are still very kid friendly. It was very good. My huaband had Chicken Fettucine Alfredo, which was out of the norm for Redstone, as I have NEVER seen a pasta on their menu in all the years we've been going there. They should add some to their menu, as it was the freshest pasta we have ever had. It literally tasted like you could picture the Chef using the manual pasta machine and cranking out the ribbons of pasta. Yum! Drinks are always great - Pineapple Doli can't be beat. And love the outdoor bar and scene now that it's getting warmer. The only issue we ran into this time around was my husband ordered steak with blue cheese and they forgot to add the blue cheese.
