   Restaurant was closed for season. Should not be on Open Table. I bet a lot of people got fooled too

   The Greenwich remains the shining first year star dining sport in the Hamptons. Amazing consistent great food, outstanding service and reasonable prices. Hope it returns nest year

   Service was good, but food was a major disappointment. None of us could even eat our appetizers and they didn't ask why. My octopus salad was so salty , another person's salad overly anchovy and another had the watermelon salad that just didn't work with peanuts. Entrees were ok, but not great. Crowd not very chic. I would say similar crowd to Red Stixx, won't recommend anyone visit sadly.

   We had the duck breast and the scallops which were both better than average . The wine we ordered had to be returned because it was off. The restaurant was well designed but had almost no buzz around 8pm on a Friday night in August and for some reason attracted some large parties of very young people wearing shorts t shirts and flip flops. The sign out front is one of those temporary canvases which seems to advertise that it may not be around next season. I would actually like to see it succeed because the food and location are good. But there are just too many restaurants with better buzz that I would sooner return to .

   Went in with high expectations based on menu. Ended with "just OK." Appetizer salads were described differently but were basically the same salad (arugula) differentiated only by the garnishes (rubbery calamari [cold] and microscopic bits of corn. Mains much more solid, but not overly exciting for prices. Drinks were good on paper, run of the mill in real life. Valet parking kind of a joke (are we in L.A.?) Service was solid and friendly. Not really a restaurant, but a wannabe scene. Won't make it through the winter as year rounders won't touch this place. Give it 2 years tops in a location that should be called a foodie graveyard.

    The service and food was great. It is very pricy though, even for the hamptons!
