Randy's SteakhouseFabulous PlaceWe have lived in Frisco for 7 years now. We found Randy's when we moved here and have made it a family tradition to eat here for holidays and special occasions....(and whenever the craving hits!) The food is excellant every time and the staff is phenominal!!! We recommend Randy's to all our friends and family.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWell done, again, Randy!We arrived earlier than our reservation time and were expecting to wait until the normal seating time, but they worked us in within five minutes, which I thought was admirable. (A lot of restaurants will let you sit there until your appointed time so you can buy more drinks.) Anyway, we were seated and from then on, Randy did his normal good service and good food activities. We have been there several times and this time was also exceptional. The service we receive every time we visit Randy's is like the service you'll find on one of the higher class cruise lines.

A friendly place, with being cloying. Very good food, nicely presented. A solid steak house. There are several rooms you can dine in, and the one we were seated in was really nice. Fairly quiet, so we could really have a conversation without screaming to be heard over trendy music and rowdy crowds. (Yeah, we're old.)

It's always been great but this past Saturday was above and beyond. Our wait person, Cindy, is the best.We started with cocktails and a shrimp platter appetizer. The sauces were amazing.My bone in ribeye was the best steak I've ever had and I've had my share in 59 years. My wife's favorite, the bleu cheese filet was outstanding as usual.After sipping the house shiraz we finished our anniversary celebration with the outstanding cheesecake. We had excellent service and everyone's meal was wonderful. All of the staff was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The reservation for me and my party was handled with excellence matched only by the superior food, ambiance, and service at the restaurant. It's a bit pricey there, but that can be forgotten when you experience the quality of a visit.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe frequent the restaurantWe frequent the restaurant quite often (have for the past 20 + years) and have had varying experiences. Often the food has not been prepared correctly and is not served at the appropriate temperature, but often it is exactly as ordered and the expected temperature - this visit, it was excellent. We did arrive early and were one of the first in the restaurant, so our food was probably one of the first to come out of the kitchen. Service is almost always great and they seem to have young, eager servers, who want to please their audience and learn the craft. The steaks are cooked to our taste and the service is spot on. We never feel rushed. Since the main room can get crowded and a bit to loud we like to dine early to avoid the situation. We always know what to expect from Randy's and this restaurant never lets us down.

We've eaten here twice and both times the food was excellent. Randy makes his rounds to the tables every night and says hi to the patrons which is rare and pretty much non-existent. He even called a couple of days later to thank us for coming in. My filet was excellent and cooked exactly as ordered. Prices are great when compared to other restaurants of the same caliber. I think the prices are better than others in relation to the food. I've paid more and the food was not as good at other places. We enjoyed it and will be back.3/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
