  • "Great Seafood and lobster risotto! Best in the North End"

  • "We had a wonderful time at Rabia's on a Sunday night for our daughter's 17th birthday dinner. The entire family loved it! We had a table for 9 and the service was excellent; very attentive. The food was great! This is my second time at Rabia's and it won't be my last. Thank you."

  • "The restaurant claims homemade pasta but our linguine was definitely from a box. The steamed clams were okay. Highlight of the meal was the lobster caprese salad but at $28 it needed to be good. Would not return."

  • "I wanted a whole lobster before we left town. I ordered the lobster with angel hair pasta...sooo good. It was just enough. The house Zinfandel was very good too."

  • "We arrived on time for our 7PM dinner reservation. While we were seated right away, the table we were given was a makeshift table that blocked part of a doorway, and backed up to the bar. Everything was fine except that when the bar got crowded, I kept getting hit in the head by the folks at the bar. The food was excellent as expected. One exception was the squid, which was a bit chewy. The waitstaff was attentive. The evening was enjoyable, but the restaurant should not seat people in doorways and so close to the bar."

  • "My daughter and I wanted badly to have some Italian food that we have been craving since coming back from Italy a few months ago. We were particularly craving Linguine and clams. From the internet I found Rabia's to be highly recommended. We gave it a shot. After a stop at Mike's Pastries for later, we went to Rabia's. Rabia's did not dissapoint. The service was excellent and attentive and the food was amazing. The plates came with Quahogs piled high. The noodles were wonderful and every thing was amazingly fresh. My daughter and I LOVED the food and it certainly satisfied that "miss Italian food" spot. I'd recommend it."

  • "Waitstaff was aggressively rude. Seafood was over cooked-- lobster was like shoe leather. One of the pasta dishes was doused in raw garlic and was inedible. We would have sent it back if the waitress had deigned to stop by our table. The oysters were actually quite good, the only redeeming part of our experience at this restaurant."

  • "Early dinner before a show. Wonderful food, good sevice. North End experience, close to greenway. Will definitely return."

  • "Went here for Father's day for the first time. The appetizer was excellent (baby octopus) as was the bread and wine. My wife ordered off the regular menu getting the seafood fra diavalo. Her entree was very good, flavorful with a generous portion. I ordered the power seafood and pasta off the specials menu. It was very under seasoned with barely any flavor although there was admittedly a very generous portion of seafood, including a split lobster. However, when I got the bill, it was $62 for my entree alone! There was no price on the specials menu so I felt a little deceived. I cannot say I would go back, not even for the octopus."

  • "When I had to find a north end restaurant that would take a reservation for 9, offer a good seafood, Italian and vegetarian menu I got nervous. After seeing the menu at rabia's I was very excited and they took a reservation. We were not disappointed. The food was really good, the selection was huge and the table was ready right at 7pm! What more could we ask for? Everyone really liked their meals. I would go back again!"

  • "We returned to Rabia's last night - and the waiter remembered us from months ago! Enjoyed my delicious seafood dish with 'gluten free' ziti. My husband enjoyed the veal parmigiana again."

  • "We were looking for an Italian Seafood restaurant and chose Rabia's. It was not a disappointment. We had been walking around all day and had an early dinner at 5:30. I'm sure it starts getting packed by 6:30, but we had quick service since we were one of the only tables. We started with six oysters. They have a nice selection from all over New England and a few P.I.s as well. My boyfriend got the veal saltamboca (sp?) and I got the fradiavalo (again, sp?). The veal was excellent. Perfectly cooked. Mine had plenty of seafood, but the calamari was on the rubbery side and I would have liked a little more kick and flavor to the sauce. I'd definitely go back and try something else though because the overall experience was lovely."

  • "Disinterested service, couldn't be bothered to confirm us in LinkedIn so I got the dreaded "deadbeat email". Food was fine, oysters were fresh, Risottos and Gnocchi were delicious. The place was pretty empty, yet they seated us right next to an annoying couple who were complaining about her meal the entire time. I know it's a touristy area, but you don't have to treat everyone with disdain. I've eaten here before and it was great, maybe I should just chalk it up to an early meal and the Belmont Stakes...."

  • "The food was great. The server was great. It was clear things were moving very fast and we slowed down our eating to slow down the meal. The next course came out right on top of the prior. I don't blame the server; it's clearly the restaurant's problem. It was our first time and I would go back but tell the server right up front to slow it down."

  • "We've been going to Rabia's for 15 years, so obviously we like the place. The noise level improved when they expanded so it's a pleasure to dine with them. You can actually have a conversation without shouting. I think all their food is good with some dishes being great, such as their risotto. The other big plus for them is that their food comes out hot. All in all, you know you'll have a good meal at Rabia's."

  • "The raw bar items were very good. Service was good. Lazy man's lobster was too heavily sauced to taste the lobster! I did not appreciate that there was a big sign on every table that if you rated them highly on a # of websites, you would get a free dessert. We went there because of the high ratings by other diners, and now I feel deceived!"

  • "First time at Rabia's and I was not disappointed. I ate alone at the bar. Service was prompt and courteous. I started with some oysters that were very fresh. I then had the lobster roll with fries. It was one of the nicest lobster rolls I had! Overflowing with lobster meat on a butter toasted roll, yum!The place was packed, good sign. "

  • "Made reservation for 7 at 7 on Friday. Table was ready on time and everything else was really good. Low key, excellent wine, freshest seafood. Worth the trip. BTW. We were from out of town, they did not know us, and that is the sign of a good restaurant."

  • "I no longer live in Boston but was back there for a recent business trip. The experience at Rabia's never disappoints. My meal was delicious, the service was attentive and I just love the ambiance in the place. If you have not been here, you should definitely check it out."

  • "Surprised to see how few people were there. Since it was Mother's Day we had made reservations but it was not very busy. The service was very attentive and the food was excellent. The combination of italian items with seafood was excellent."

  • "The choices were amazing. We had a large group and all enjoyed their meals. Our waiter was wonderful and handled all our requests well and in a timely manner despite how busy it was. Would definitely return!!"

  • "Small dark space, more items on the menu than possible to do any or all well and just overpriced for the quality and value. Both entrees, one fish one lamb were overcooked and plating was blah. Great server, very nice guy but he can't do enough to do improve the food. "

  • "I love the ambiance at Rabia's. We had a great seat by the window. The windows are open to the street in the warm weather. The seafood is outstanding. We started out with the fried oysters on the half shell and hand cut french fries, soooo good. I had chicken saltimboca and I loved it. We had bolognese, Chilean Sea Bass and Alfredo also and everyone was satisfied. Wine was great and reasonable. Our server's name was Elmer (Henry) and was outstanding. I can't wait to go back."

  • "there were 5 of us at a cozy table. They had 3 menus - Italian, Seafood, and the specials. We ordered off all 3 menus. Excellent baked goat cheese appetizer. Wonderful lobster. Service was great"

  • "Brought an out of town guest, with a couple of locals new to Rabia's, but not to the North End. Big raves. Menu and food was great. Service was just pinch below excellent, a little slow on some follow-up visits to the table. But nothing to keep you away. For me, best blend of seafood and italian quisine. "

  • "With the exception of our hotel restaurant every place we have visited in Bostom has been "throbbing" Rabies was no exception. Extremely busy, appearing disorganised (but actually not) it was certainly a place to go. Food was good and so was the wine. By comparison it was very good value."

  • "Food was very good, very cramped though, waiter and host were not the most friendly but it was a very busy night. Two families met for dinner, I called and was told there was no kids menu but there were small portions that could be made. When we arrived the waiter said the plates were samll plates or sides and were too small for dinner."

  • "Rabia's is one of the good Italian restaurants in the North End. The menu offers both a choice of traditional Italian & creative dishes several of of which have a north African influence. The restuarant also offers a separate seafood menu which include a variety of fresh caught fish caught fish. In addition Rabia's has a raw bar with a good selection of fresh oysters, clams, shrimp, lobster and crab legs. There are two rooms, both with a quaint atmosphere one itlaian the other a sea theme. The service is efficient, pleasant and knowledgeable. Your sure to find something to please your palate."

  • "I went here for my birthday, My boyfriend and myself split a dozen oysters - heavenly! I also had the lobster raviollis in champagne sauce, to DIE for. There was only about 5-6 raviollis in this dish, but you could tell their was fresh lobster in there, and you are obviously paying for the champagne too. I can't wait to be back! I made a reservation, but I showed up early around 5:30-6 and nobody was there, so I was seated quickly. Small place, but what a gem!"

  • "Nice place, not spectacular. There are better choices in the North End. Quality of the food was ok. It would be nice to get an accompanying vegetable with a main course. It looks very bare when you just get served a meat dish with nothing else on the plate. The caprese salad appetizer was served with rock hard tomatoes. I know it's winter, but they could have used campari tomatoes which are readily available and have much better flavor."

  • "Love Rabia's! Been there 3 times so far and each time has been a unique experience. Every dish is authentic Italian. My son spent 3 months in Florence, Italy and claims this restaurant is the only one he has been to in the States that reminds him of true italian food, not American Italian. He especially loves their seafood dish which includes everything from fresh shrimp, mussels and baby octupus. Wine list is expansive also. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "Loved the ambience very European in feel. the seafood was fantastic, and the wine delicious. The tables are close together so if you are looking for privacy this may not be the place but was a fantastic dinner for my husband and I."

  • "Oysters and appys were excellent! Linguini vongole, clams over cooked. Lobster Risotto was mushroom risotto with lobster and was under seasoned. Lazy Man's lobster was excellent as was the Squash Raviolli. Good wine list."

  • "Been at this establishment many times over the past years. Food is great, good selections and fresh. I have tried other places in the area but continue to return here. I like the fact that they have so many varieties to choose from. The menus are not limited to the food that many only stock for that week. LOTS of choices. You will not regret this place. I do suggest during weekends that have multiple local events - make reservations on open table. I have sent many friends here who were just as satisified. You won't regret it!"

  • "The seafood overall was really good. Mussels, clams, baby octopus, oysters all over linguine was quite good. The place is fairly small and nice for a romantic occasion. The service could have been better and for the price you pay you would expect some more interaction with your server besides one word responses. Overall it was an above average seafood restaurant."

  • "Tough to make a poor quality antipasto, but with 4 slices of cheap salami and 2 pieces of mozzarella and a couple of pieces of pickled peppers you've got it. Dinner was a total disappointment with a small piece of veal and nothing but some sauce and cheese over it. Couldn't really find the eggplant. Should have know when there was no one in the place on a busy night in the North End."
