   I would recommend with cautions. We had 3 in our party that were pescatarian. The only fish plate was sold out leaving a pasta dish as their option. They felt the Cacio e Pepe was over salted and over peppered. The 2 meat dishes were wonderful. I would recommend to meat eaters and have others check the menu and call ahead for availability. If non meat that popular perhaps you need to adjust the menu. The amuse bouche was a last minute throw together of pickled cucumber and vinegared cauliflower. We are long time fans of this restaurant. All previous visits has been fine. This was extremely disappointing particularly as we brought out of town guests.

   This is a cute little hole in the wall place where I managed to secure the window seat for my wife’s birthday. Small and intimate setting with appropriate lighting and noise level. Attentive, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable wait staff. Food was delicious with a decent wine selection, and we loved the fixed price three-course menu. Seems like it allows the chef more creativity so ideas remain fresh! My only wish would be that they could cover their open shelves in the kitchen and dining area because I’d rather not see stacks of dining table extras and a hodgepodge of big box store oils and spices, which aren’t artfully or esthetically arranged when I’m paying for a really nice dinner.    Wonderful server and great food. The small venue is always been my preference and love the simplicity of things. The cauliflower soup with the brioche was yummy. The top sirloin dish was also fabulous. Would highly recommend Verdigris!

   I loved Verdigris! Terrific atmosphere (ask for a window table -- can fit up to 3 people), cozy, quiet, intimate. This is one of my absolute favorites. Fixed price, 3 course menu is out of this world. Wine pours are generous and wines are delicious. Service was attentive and professional and when we asked if the 3 of us could squeeze into the window table, the waitperson didn't hesitate (even though it's a bit of a tight squeeze). This will be my go-to Portland restaurant for romantic atmosphere and delicious food. I can't say enough good things about it!

   We came in expecting a loud French restaurant and found it very quiet and warm. Food was great and service was quick. Definitely return in the future!

   Great spot for a nice but not crazy expensive, trendy, noisy meal. Simple menu structure, excellent quality, creative without being outlandish. Delightfully seasonal and everything we had was deftly prepared.

    I had salmon. I’ve been to Verdi’s Gris many times, it’s a favorite. To be fair an honest, this entree was a complete miss. Everything else was great as usual. It happens. Doesn’t change a thing
