James Beard semi-finalist for Best Chef Texas and Top Chef Season 19 judge Kiran Verma, considered the ‘godmother of Indian fine dining,’ has created world-class north Indian cuisine at her eponymous restaurant. Come and enjoy good food and great service in a fabulous environment.

Signature dishes include rack of lamb with aloo methi, Chilean sea bass with mango chutney, chicken tikka masala and a vegetarian thali. Specialty cocktails range from the Jahangir Lassi (house-infused pineapple rum, passion fruit, mango lassi, pistachio) to a Chai Old Fashioned to a Cardamom Basil Gin & Tonic.

The restaurant serves Afternoon Tea every Friday, Saturday and Sunday - a four-course Indian and English tea experience. Chef Kiran has created her own chai blend.

The food was exceptional. Maria did an outstanding job of serving our party. She made some wonderful recommendations, was attentive and personable. We loved visiting with her when she came by the table. We will definitely be back.

After we looked at the menu, my wife and I were excited to try because we were looking for something we haven't been to before and we both love indian food. After looking at some of the reviews, we were skeptical. We decided to go anyways, driving in from Clear Lake. What we found was amazing! The service was top notch. The staff made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. We went to the bar as we waited for our table because we were early. The older gentleman bartender with the twisted mustache was welcoming and made me a zero alcohol drink which was great and my wife a drink off the menu which she enjoyed as well. The other bartender brought us over some chips like snack which were seasoned great and not what we expected. We had 2 small bowls of them. The host staff never came over to us and bothered us at the bar but let the bartender know our table was ready. We paid out and a host then showed up. Our server Maham (?) was a very nice young man that had been there for 3 years. Took excellent care of us with great suggestions. The Beet Salad was amazing as were the Lamb Belly apt. My wife had the Seabass which she said was the best she had ever eaten. It was tasty as I had a bite. It was the biggest piece of Seabass that I had ever seen at a restaurant. I had the sample imdian plate with chicken, lamb, and shrimp. It was spot on and some of the best Indian style food I have eaten and the spice level was perfect just the way they prepared it. Desert was chocolate samosas with chi tea. Never had before and will order it more often when I am out. I will say the table next to us got the Indian style pizza and I can't wait to go back and try it. Their big pizza ovens and the bread were really cool. We will for sure be back and bring our daughter and friends. I will say the bad reviews are not a reflection of the ambiance, service, or food that we recieved. Everything was amazing and worth the drive. We will be back.

Every experience at Kirin is above and beyond expectation when it comes to food, service, and ambience. I’m already thinking about my next visit and what I’m going to order, for sure those lamb chops and some Samosa. Everything is delicious,, and I always feel as though I am being entertained by a dear who has opened her home and cooked especially for me.

Exceptional ambiance in a cozy environment with an awesome menu selection. Enjoyed the flavors of the main dish filled with spices. Overall very satisfied and would recommend Kiran’s.

Celebrated a 33 year wedding anniversary and it couldn't have been any better. The pace of the dinner was perfect, the waitress attentive but never pushy. We always had a full glass of water without ever acknowledging the wait staff. The food was equally cooked to perfection.
