You might think they’re talking about cheesecake factory while eating dinner at katsuya would be counterintuitive, but the topic came up because what you can always depend on both restaurants is consistency. Every single time we eat at Katsuya it is a delight. The portions are made with absolute care. The presentation is beautiful. And the quality is unmatched.

This restaurant refused to accept a MasterCard gift card for our meal. The Manager claimed that they are fraudulent and that they only accept traditional credit cards. He was not at all helpful and told me to pay the bill. I was shocked at the complete lack of customer service for a restaurant that charges hundreds of dollars for a meal. Also, it is highly unusual for a major restaurant chain not to accept MasterCard. All they had to do was to call the phone number on the card to validate it, but did not make the effort.

Friendly service. Very loud agitating music. Small flies needed to be shooed away from flying around food. Not all the food was as good as expected for the price.
