Diner Reviews
  • "The menu is not good and the food is not good. This is our 3rd or 4th try, we won't be back."

  • "My wife and I went twice in the one week we stayed in Jackson Hole. The food was great both times. They have options for people that eat meat and those that don't, and it is all very good. The honey butter ice cream that came with their corn cake desert was awesome! This is a must visit for anyone is the Jackson Hole area."

  • "Not too fancy- just fancy enough. Quality food. Good scene."

  • "Excellent service and overall good food, but overpriced for what you get."

  • "This has always been a favorite of mine ... But this was the first visit this year. I felt $42 plus tip for a hamburger and 2 house wines was a bit pricey."

  • "good well rounded selection of their own brews and plenty of other local whiskey and vodka, along with full bar, the best clam chowder, fair bbq "

  • "Love Q Roadhouse! This is the first time we have been seated by the windows! It was a lovely evening and the Teton views were glorious! The service was fantastic and we enjoyed our dinners. Still love the Ebony & Ivory Salad...... Always take half home because it is GREAT the next day. Want some pure comfort food? Order the organic fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts! Oh you MUST try their beer! Everything was perfect!"

  • "I eat at the Q often and the menu changed so I tried the duck pho. There is nothing good I can say about it. I expected duck breast as stated on the menu and what might have been duck was a paper thin slice of something unidentifiable. I would have said something that night but it was a friend's birthday and I didn't want to affect the fun mood. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten Asian food at a bbq restaurant but I expected at least something decent from one of the "Fine Dining" group."

  • "They were out of many items including beer. Prices were normal Jackson Hole prices. Dip for the fried pickles was too smokey"

  • "I guess I'd recommend it but multiple times we requested something ON the menu it wasn't available so pick two options on everything you're thinking you want to order. Food they did have was good though and so was my beer. Mixed drinks - Marg- need work."

  • "Great food. We had brisket, ribs, and chicken friend chicken -- all delicious classics. Quick and friendly service. Great beer choices. PS: If your allergic to peanuts... watch out... they're everywhere on the floor."

  • "Since our last visit a year ago, the Roadhouse (formerly Q Roadhouse) has morphed into a Gastro-Brewpub gone wide-open-west. It's maintained its overall character but improved by featuring their own house brews. The dishes we had (chicken fried chicken for one) were perfectly prepared. It has a casual atmosphere, perfect for Jackson."

  • "We went there because we were told they had really good ribs. When the waiter brought my ribs, they were cold and obviously taken out of the refrigerator and briefly warmed. I sent them back and the waiter brought me a new plate of ribs which were freshly made but very heavy on the vinegar. The side dishes were good - beans, salad and grits. Wouls I go back there again? No."

  • "We started with a big bowl of fried pickles with cajun remoulade sauce although not my favorite the guys devoured then. The smoked ribs were great but u like mine with more BBQ sauce so they quickly brought out more when I asked Even the sides offered excite the taste buds! The baked beans with shredded smoked pork were to die for. I could have eaten it as a separate entree for lunch if dared. The cole slaw was exceptional with a hint of something I couldn't identify but made me wish I had more. The service was great and worked as a team. We enjoyed sitting by the "real fireplace " in the main dining room. It's definitely on my list to return"

  • "I have two words: Ebony & Ivory! Q's Ebony & Ivory salad was so delicious I will crave it forever!! You have to try it! The pulled pork special and mashed potatoes were pure comfort food! We had such an enjoyable dinner at the Roadhouse!"

  • "Went here on the recommendation of a friend, and I was not disappointed. The food was great as well as the service. However, they were out of ribs that a couple of people in our party would've liked to order. In addition to the noise level (which was quite significant) that was our only complaint!"

  • "Q used to be a bbq / now a brewpub with a menu that attempts to be gourmet. really? hard to find an item on the menu that's enticing. menu items too pricey for quality received cool place for locals but would like to see good quality casual (family) food"

  • "My husband and I had a very nice table next to the fireplace, and the young man who brought our water noticed the table wobbling and shimmed it for us. We began our meal with fried pickles - they were crispy, briny, and completely addictive. I took the waiter's advice and had the Grilled Coho Salmon w/ chipotle creamed kale over a green pea purée and topped with a buerre blanc and steelhead roe. The fish was cooked perfectly and the pea purée was divine. My only complaint is that there were too many sauces competing for attention. My husband had the Korean Breakfast which was amazing, but very hot for his palate. I wish they'd mentioned the extra hot sauce topping the meal - we could've left that off. Overall terrific & we'll be back!"

  • "We had a great meal at the Q. Even our group of "special" eaters (gluten-free, vegan) and 3 kids found something delicious to order. Some of the meals in the past have been extra salty but this winter's menu is seasoned well. The service was attentive and friendly, all the staff could answer menu questions and the ambiance was fun and upbeat. The Q is back on our list of possible weekly date night options..."

  • "My wife ordered a BBQ beef dish and I ordered the BBQ ribs. The meat on both dishes were very dry and the ribs were tough. The salads and side dishes were excellent. Also, there were a couple of fish items on the menu that were not available on the night we dined. We would have preferred to order the fish. We have been to this restaurant a few times during tourist season and it was excellent but not on this night."

  • "My husband had the ribs and loved them! I opted for the char grilled wedge salad and the carnitas tacos! Sensational!! Q is such a cute restaurant with a nice variety of food choices. Service was great! Beers were fabulous! We had fun."

  • "Loved the atmosphere. No where did I c anything about the abundance of peanuts when I made the reservation. I had heard so made a point to comment not to serve peanuts at our table. First thing when we sat down we were served a bucket of peanuts. Unfortunately we can't dine there again."

  • "Fries were dry and tasteless, Brisket was overcooked and dry, Brussels sprouts were dried out, ribs were too well done. So loud I tried to close an interior door so we could talk and hear each-other better. I like smoked meats, but smoke filled the dinning room- hot & hard to breath. We ordered 3 meals (2- ribs w/ fries & a brisket with Brussels sprouts). We had a side of beans and Hush Puppies and ran out of the honey butter after just 3 bite sized balls. It seemed everyone was too busy to come by and ask how everything was. How we get to $75, with all 4 of us drinking warm water (ice cubes melted quickly). I recommend or go back... Go to the Silver Dollar restaurant in town... It's better food for less money!"

  • "We made an online reservation, showed up early and only waited a few minutes for our table to be ready. Our appetizer arrived in great time. The fried pickles were good, slightly spicy, too spicy with the accompanying dip. We were all satisfied with the main course. Really good, but not amazing. The ribs could have been more tender. The only big disappointment was the chocolate cake. The description sounded delicious, but it didn't live up to it. The cake had a good cocoa flavor but was very dry, the mousse layers seems almost melted, and I thought the vanilla ice cream had an off flavor I couldn't quite identify. For a self proclaimed chocoholic I would not order it again. Our children loved the peanuts and being able to run outdoors."

  • "The outdoor space between Q and Calico is awesome. So perfect for kids. Service stunk. We rarely saw our server and had to flag other workers to get water, food and the check. The menu looks cool with a creative BBQ bent. Execution was poor though and it it seemed like most of our entrees had been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. We're a family of six and have been to practically every restaurant in the Jackson area. Q was the first to toss an automatic 20% gratuity on our bill. Not a shock though after the server avoided us for 90 minutes."
    Dined on 7/26/2013
  • "The server was not friendly or efficient. The food was poor. French fries were cold and rubbery when served. The corned beef was very fatty. The fried chicken in my salad was cold and rubbery and over cooked (ie. very dry ) . I would not recommend the restaurant to anyone and I will not ever go back. Thanks for asking"

  • "First off the setting is gorgeous. There is a tree filled field between this restaurant and its sister restaurant. There are tons of kids playing out on the field while their parent grab a few minutes of calm and an adult beverage. Now for the bad part. Service was very slow, took a long time to get drinks and order. Felt like we had to ask for everything - more water, ketchup, steak knives, etc. Even more disappointing was the food. This is a bbq restaurant and the menu seemed to be overly ambitious. The menu was very fusion-esqe but lacked basic bbq. Ie - no grilled chicken, no pulled pork. I appreciate a twist on the traditional - but it seemed they couldn't even do the basics well - my brisket came overcooked and bubbling with fat."
