  • "I eat at the Q often and the menu changed so I tried the duck pho. There is nothing good I can say about it. I expected duck breast as stated on the menu and what might have been duck was a paper thin slice of something unidentifiable. I would have said something that night but it was a friend's birthday and I didn't want to affect the fun mood. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten Asian food at a bbq restaurant but I expected at least something decent from one of the "Fine Dining" group."

  • "We went there because we were told they had really good ribs. When the waiter brought my ribs, they were cold and obviously taken out of the refrigerator and briefly warmed. I sent them back and the waiter brought me a new plate of ribs which were freshly made but very heavy on the vinegar. The side dishes were good - beans, salad and grits. Wouls I go back there again? No."

  • "Since our last visit a year ago, the Roadhouse (formerly Q Roadhouse) has morphed into a Gastro-Brewpub gone wide-open-west. It's maintained its overall character but improved by featuring their own house brews. The dishes we had (chicken fried chicken for one) were perfectly prepared. It has a casual atmosphere, perfect for Jackson."

  • "We started with a big bowl of fried pickles with cajun remoulade sauce although not my favorite the guys devoured then. The smoked ribs were great but u like mine with more BBQ sauce so they quickly brought out more when I asked Even the sides offered excite the taste buds! The baked beans with shredded smoked pork were to die for. I could have eaten it as a separate entree for lunch if dared. The cole slaw was exceptional with a hint of something I couldn't identify but made me wish I had more. The service was great and worked as a team. We enjoyed sitting by the "real fireplace " in the main dining room. It's definitely on my list to return"

However, they were out of ribs that a couple of people in our party would've liked to order. In addition to the noise level (which was quite significant) that was our only complaint!"

  • "My husband and I had a very nice table next to the fireplace, and the young man who brought our water noticed the table wobbling and shimmed it for us. We began our meal with fried pickles - they were crispy, briny, and completely addictive. I took the waiter's advice and had the Grilled Coho Salmon w/ chipotle creamed kale over a green pea purée and topped with a buerre blanc and steelhead roe. The fish was cooked perfectly and the pea purée was divine. My only complaint is that there were too many sauces competing for attention. My husband had the Korean Breakfast which was amazing, but very hot for his palate. I wish they'd mentioned the extra hot sauce topping the meal - we could've left that off. Overall terrific & we'll be back!"

  • "We had a great meal at the Q. Even our group of "special" eaters (gluten-free, vegan) and 3 kids found something delicious to order. Some of the meals in the past have been extra salty but this winter's menu is seasoned well. The service was attentive and friendly, all the staff could answer menu questions and the ambiance was fun and upbeat. The Q is back on our list of possible weekly date night options..."

  • "My wife ordered a BBQ beef dish and I ordered the BBQ ribs. The meat on both dishes were very dry and the ribs were tough. The salads and side dishes were excellent. Also, there were a couple of fish items on the menu that were not available on the night we dined. We would have preferred to order the fish. We have been to this restaurant a few times during tourist season and it was excellent but not on this night."
