  • "The three courses were exceptional!! Great wine and food!! Would go again in a heart beat!."

  • "We had dinner as part of the Seattle Restaurant Week. The menu selection was good, and included something for everyone. Everything was wonderful. Service was excellent. Appetizers, main course and desserts were perfectly prepared. We couldn't have been happier."

  • "Had lunch here as part of SRW..Awesome menu..first time here. Will definitely come back."

  • "Great ! The food , service and environment was great ! Easy to talk with our friends and not too loud. Thank you for a great dinner! Erin"

  • "Their Dine Around Seattle menu's options were quite small portions, but they were tasty. The only complaint I have is that the ambience was not very comfortable in that it was extremely chilly for the duration of our dining experience and the furnishing was rather formidable, but that may be a stylistic element."

  • "Be prepared to wait at least 1.5 hours for food--for weekend lunch."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "Went to Purple for dinner with my girlfriend. It was a really busy Saturday evening, but we made a reservation so we were seated promptly. Otherwise, there would have been an hour wait at 1900. We each had a set of the flight trio (Rose and French Chardonnay) and the Rose was by far the better choice of the two. Main courses were delicious and our server was quite attentive."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "The food was fantastic and service was great. The restaurant is a bit noisy, as it's all very steel and concrete. Would definitely go back and try other things on the menu!"
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "Very loud. All hard surfaces. Chairs more uncomfortable than airline seats. Tables for 2 too small. Food mediocre. Service good."
    Dined on 3/22/2014
  • "I love this place. Really great tomato basil soup. I love all the salads. It has great entrees as well. Can be on the loud side. And the chairs are very heavy. It is always a place me and my girlfriends want to go."
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "Best if you go willing to try new stuff and experiment......too expensive it you want the same old, same old. Wine staff is great at pairing the right wine with the right food. Maybe try a few starters and share one main entree. Don't go here if you are in a hurry, this is a place you want to taste every bite and enjoy an evening. Deserts are awesome and make sure to take home the caramels and port.....wonderful together!! Call ahead and ask for a nice quiet table or sit at the wine bar....not the noisy main bar!! Enjoy!"

  • "Great evening, Food, Wine with knowledgeable staff on their wine pairings. Only issue for us is it is loud... while that may be energitic for some and the ratings availble on this site... but too loud to hold a conversation for two..."
    Dined on 3/14/2014
  • "My friend and I went here for a quiet lunch. The lunch menu was as extensive as their wine list. The food was delicious and of course the wine, impeccable."
    Dined on 3/9/2014
  • "Everything was great. The food was amazing. The wine list can get overwhemling but the staff are very helpful. Great experience."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "We went to Bellevue for crabgrass and ended up having two great meals at Purple. Lunch was perfect and dinner the next day was ewen better. I brought along a bottle of Sauv Blanc from Cappitello and the Somm loved it. Great food."
    Dined on 3/1/2014
  • "My colleague's lunch did not come until the server realized the order had been lost. They rushed it out and didn't charge for it, but the damage was already done."
    Dined on 2/25/2014
  • "We stopped in for a quick snack and we were very pleased. Food was good, service was good, and very exciting wine list!"

  • "I love the style of this place. I found it on Yelp, knowing it would be on the more expensive side of more restaurants. I took a friend who was visiting Seattle there because she loves wine - and still does - so the place did it's job very well. The selection is almost insane to try and keep up with - but I'm not a wine guy so take that for what it's worth. The food is great, the service was fantastic - our waiter knew everything to recommend and make the experience as painless as possible. Overall - great to taste the wine and take anyone out to celebrate."

  • "The three course dinner is a very good bargain, appie, entree and dessert...all my favorites. Appies are great to share. The waiter was a little over the top--too "friendly" and fast talker..."
    Dined on 2/21/2014
  • "Easy place to meet for after-work drinks and dinner. Fun atmosphere. Good food. Great wine!"
    Dined on 2/17/2014
  • "We went for a special night. The server was very attentive and made useful suggestions about wine pairings. I even ordered one glass that he thought might not go well with the filet so he brought two samples....very nice...I did drink the wine I originally ordered but the thought counted. I had the filet mignon and my wife had the ribeye steak. Both steaks were cooked just right. We ordered the salted Carmel's to go; one box for us and one for the babysitter. The server bought the babysitters. Timing was great. We will go there again. Service improved since the last time we went there a few years ago."

  • "We had reservations for Valentine's Day. We were in the overflow area, which I believe is their event space, but it was actually very nice as it was very quiet and felt less chaotic. The service was very attentive and engaging. The food was also very nice. Nothing too outside the box as far as creativity goes but everything was very tasty and presented nicely. Some things could use a little work, but overall it was very pleasant. They even put all of wines down at the happy hour price due to a delay getting us our wine with our entrees. Purple is always a consistent, quality place for us and this meal was no different. We will be back."

  • "Great and delicate food. Very courteous waiters and staff. One of my favorite Bellevue restaurants!"
    Dined on 2/12/2014
  • "The Baked Brie was buttery goodness perfect for sharing. My Lobster Mac and Cheese was delicious with a generous amount of Lobster. My friends Chicken dish was so flavorful and not a typical boring dried out breast. The generous pour of the wine flights are a nice option when you can't pick just one wine. The service was attentive but not overly so. For a Tuesday night it was very busy but the noise level was low enough to have a nice conversation with out having to yell. It seems very popular so I recommend a reservation."
    Dined on 2/11/2014
  • "We very much enjoyed our experience. As for the food, the lobster mac and cheese was wonderful, the filet was cooked perfectly, the wine was enjoyable and the salted caramel's were the perfect ending to a wonderful evening. The atmosphere was comfortably sophisticated but noisy. The waiter was friendly and helpful without being a nuisance. We will return."

  • "Met friends at Purple Cafe and Wine Bar for a light dinner. Our waiter was very good. We had some special needs for food preparation and he got it right! The dinner was delicious and they did try to put us in a quieter spot. The only problem was that the restaurant is a bit too noisy for us. I would recommend this place to anyone as it is consistently good."
    Dined on 2/8/2014
  • "They have one of the best wine selections around and the somalier was great. I had the filet, and it was nice and rare like I ordered but they didn't get much of a char at all on the steak. I also had their beet salad and this was the highlight of the meal. My wife had scallops and they were good but I've made better at home. Overall the experience was good!"
    Dined on 2/7/2014
  • "The food selection ranged from rich to super healthy, so fit a range of interests and occasions. The service was just the right balance between helpful and not marketing for a tip. We especially liked that it felt both open and private, informal and well presented, energetic while conversational, unique and comfortable, and efficient and leisurely. We recommend going with the perfectly recommended glass of wine for each entre. Our first visit and clearly now on our list of special evening places. Every aspect was positive, so the cost seemed worth it."

  • "We go to Purple in Bellevue frequently. Sometimes the inside parking on Friday-Saturday nights can be challenging but we managed well this time. Our reservation was honored on-time despite a busy restaurant. Ordered soup dujour (Southwestern Chicken) which was delicious (loaded with shredded chicken), as was my wife's tomato soup. My wife ordered a goat cheese salad which appeared, mysteriously, without goat cheese!! That issue was quickly rectified. My Purple Chop Salad, with added marinated steak on top, was delicious. The steak was slightly on the chewy side but very tasty overall. Wines by the glass are slightly pricey but choices aplenty. We will return."

  • "Exceptional food. Great menu. Excellent service, as always."

  • "I love this place, it's great just to sit at the bar after work, or to come for a romantic meal with my hubby or a family meal with our son. Great choice, great service, what's not to love? I love the pasta, my husband loves the fish and my 10 year old loves the mac and cheese. Only thing to beware of, they have these little hemmed in areas where they tend to put the families, and these suck! So don't mention ahead of time that you have a child with you!"

  • "My husband and I used a gift card I received for Christmas. We had appetizers which were very good and our dinner was outstanding. My husband had the lamb shank and it just fell off the bone it was so tender -- and really flavorful as well. I had the free range chicken marsala -- OMG -- the best chicken marsala I have ever had. The chicken was thick, juicy and flavorful and was sitting on top of mashed potatoes and broccolini. The mushroom marsala sauce was to die for. My husband and I talked about how much we enjoyed the meal, the service and the ambiance on our drive home. We would come again!"

  • "It was a great time for my first experience at the Bellevue site. I have booked another lunch for 1/10/14. I like the idea of sending an invitation to the full party - much more fun than my email!"

  • "We went for New Years and had a great time. We had a reservation for 2 but ended up bringing our 5 month old baby and they were able to accommodate use without any problem at all. We were in a little, secluded circular nook and able to have a fairly private dinner. A couple snooty couples came into our nook, saw a baby, and decided to sit in the bar or asked for another table. Joke's on them, she was calm and quiet the entire meal. Our waiter was very attentive and helped us when deciding between a couple of dishes and didn't steer us wrong. The lamb shank and pork loin were both delicious. We definitely had a great time."

  • "We booked for New Year's Eve. Out table was ready when we arrived, Staff was very knowledgeable about the extensive wine list. The daily specials were great alternatives to the regular menu. My wife had the risotto and it was great. I had the Fred Flintstone cut of Lamb shank and it delivered in all respects. Maybe one day I'll have enough room to try a dessert. Prices are fair and portions size is good. You can't go wrong at this place."
