  • "It was our anniversary, however, since my wife does not like to be centre of attention telling restaurants can a hit or miss, Primo got it just right, subtle and sincere Great value, good but not great food, however, the service, ambiance and overall feeling you take away, makes it special. Definitely recommend, for both hotel residents (it's a no brainer) and those staying elsewhere, such as ourselves. ."

  • "Primo was an excellent find...the atmosphere is social, the service was great and the food was wonderful. The Chef's dedication to fine food and organically grown product was delightful. I guess that's why she earned not one but two James Beard awards. Kudos, will definitely go back a sixth time if the opportunity presents itself. Keeping in mind this was our first experience at Primo. Fully intend to try the Rockland, Maine sister rest."

Enjoyed a Mussels & Clams Al Forno appetizer, Coq Au Vin as our entree, and delicious Cannoli's for dessert. Michelle, our server, with 17-years experience, and her assistant Christina, made our visit to Primo a complete success. We have dined at many excellent restaurants around the world, and would rate our experience at Primo among the very top. When in the Orlando area we suggest you make plans to enjoy an evening at J.W.Marriott's Primo."

  • "Great menu, extremely well executed. Great oysters two ways, clams and mussels al forno followed by a shared pasta bolognese that was outstanding. Main entrees were duck breast and scallops -- both excellent. Wine service was perfect. Special request for fresh berries for dessert was accommodated effortlessly. Great dining experience, time after time!"

  • "This was a very pleasant surprise indeed. I had the mussels and clams in a red sauce and my wife had the octopus. Both dynamite! The pasta's we had for secondi were great as well but VERY rich. I would recommend half portions if your having 4 courses as we did or just not that hungry. Then I had the pork chop and my wife had snapper they had substituted for the striped bass. Both were world class. Desserts were vey good as well but can't compare to the savory dishes."

They are very knowledgeable about food and wine. This restaurant is one of the reasons we stay at the JW when visiting Orlando. Favorites: Cocktail: New Fashion Appetizer: Anything Foie Gras!!!   • "Reservation choices were 8:30 and 10pm only. Restaurant was empty. Arrived early and waited 40min to be sat. Refused the hallway noisey table and asked for one of the many tables in the dining room as I reserved. Service was slow and many mistakes were made. Food was no better than Olive Garden but at over $150/pp. My guest's "signature" item was cold and returned. The rest of us finished out meals before anyone served him. He was not offered an apology or option. No excuse for cold food on an empty night with terrible service. Extremely disappointed in this one. As a big local eater who entertaines clients almost every night, this was a first and last visit."

  • "A HIDDEN GEM - The worst thing about Primo was our inability to locate the hotel (J.W. Marriott) in which it is located. We had an address and a general location. But there are no entrances onto the property listing either the name of the hotel or the restaurant. After pulling into a gas station for information we found that the entrance was under an entirely different name and located the hotel on top of a hill. The waiter appeared astonished that we actually sought out this restaurant and were not staying at the hotel ( apparently convention central). The food was quite good but the dining room was dominated by loud conventioners sitting twelve to a table,. Not quite worth the effort to locate the restaurant."

  • "Beautiful décor, quiet environment, a charming knowledgeable Sommelier, helpful, attentive and friendly staff accompanied by excellent food with challenging combinations. The grilled scallops with truffles mushroom linguine was outstanding. The waygu Carpaccio was soiled by overly strong onion but otherwise melted in your mouth."

  • "Fabulous food. Pretty good service. Loved the food, but made the reservations long in advance, so disappointed at being seated in a corner with no window nearby. Right after our waiter said entrees were about to FINALLY come out, a very loud crash happened. We assume it was our food, because we waited more than a half hour MORE after the crash. They comped us some desserts but never said why. The waiter or a manager should have come by and given us an explanation for the unusually long wait. (Service at previous visits was much better.)"

  • "Primo is one of the star restaurants of the Marriott chain of hotels and I think it has the most delicious food of all their restaurants I have tasted. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the restaurant was just as sophisticated as the hotel. We were seated in an area that overlooks a beautiful garden with flowering trees and our waitress couldn't have been more helpful with wine selection and dinner choices. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection and my chicken was moist and tender. For dessert I had a refreshing and light sorbet and fruit pairing. If I am ever in Orlando again I would definitely return."

  • "The vegetable garden outside is just the start. You peruse the menu and the "farm to table" theme becomes more evident. We started with the Primo house salad, complimented with the charred octopus appetizer that melted in your mouth. The butternut squash ravioli with lobster tail was delish! Best I've had in a while... The dessert was a tad disappointing tho'. As a "lava cake" fanatic, the budino cake did not live up to my expectation."

  • "On vacation for my honeymoon and wanted to try Primo. From the start the service was awful. We were seated in a booth facing a wall to look at, it was very very warm in there too, so we ask to be moved. We order oyster rockerfeller and there were no oysters in about half of the shells. I ask for the farmers salad for my entree and they forgot and brought it out first instead. The food was tasteless and the service was horrible. Will not be back."

Next time if I stay at the Marriott I will probably go to Norman's where I was on Thanksgiving. Not impressed at Primo at all. The Organic part they advertise is not important to me but I know it is to others."

  • "Based on past visits, we knew we would find wonderful food, Italian sort-of enhanced with interesting seasonal twists and striking seasonings, with a wine list worth reading with care (like a novel). This time the experience was made perfection by the attentions of our server, Joy, who, among other things, replenished our wine at the perfect intervals -frequently but in small increments to match our eating pace. A pasta dish was modified extensively to accommodate my no-shellfish restriction, and it lost nothing in the execution. A primo special -- tuna carpaccio with lots of vegetables -- was excellent and even the simple greens salad was perfectly seasoned. A lovely evening."

  • "This dinner was for my anniversary and we had never been to this restaurant before so it was a new experience. The restaurant is located in the JW Marriott hotel and the valet parking was free if you are dining which was nice. Our reservations were at 6 pm when it opened so there was no other guest there. Our servers were very nice, helpful and well informed about the food and beverages offered at Primo. The menu changes on a regular basis the overall meal was very very good, my fish was cook perfectly and my wife's was tender. Our server also had a special plate with "happy Anniversary" written on it for my wife, it was a very nice touch to a great experience."
