  • "Went to Prasino in St. Charles on a first date. Very cool place. The atmosphere is vibrant but not overwhelming. Obviously a lot of thought behind the decor. If you go there ask for Schyler. He exemplifies attentive, friendly service. Had a dragon sushi roll which was great. Strip steak had a little too much fat, but no big deal. Overall, would definitely recommend Prasino."

  • "The atmosphere was great. The service was terrific. The menu was varied and interesting. But, ultimately, we just didn't like the food. In an apparent effort to be interesting and novel, our food was prepared in clever, but not very tasty ways. We had varied offerings at our table-chicken, lobster, portabella mushroom and a burger. All were pungently over-seasoned. The words "different" and "odd" were heard- the word "delicious" was not. I had the feeling the chef was just trying too hard. Nobody at our table finished his meal. The appetizers were bare tasted. Always on the lookout for someplace new and interesting in this area, we left disappointed...and a little sad."

  • "This is our favorite place for outstanding food and drink. We sat in the bar area and they had the sliding doors open. It was like being at a huge patio party. The Cardinals were on the big screen and a nice breeze was flowing. My wife had Mahi-Mahi and I had the pork chop. Both were delicious, leaving us very satisfied.. Also, our server, "Brandon" was outstanding. His knowledge of the wine and drink listing along with the menu made our dining experience "Exceptional"."

  • "I normally don't care to eat in restaurants anymore because the quality of the food is not good. I love the fact that the meats are antibiotic and hormone free and everything is fresh and with plenty of options for vegan or gluten free. The restaurant is large with plenty of seating and contemporary decor but at the same time has a relaxing atmosphere. My friend and I chose to have breakfast which is served until 3 pm. I chose the gluten free pancakes with berries. She chose pancakes and sausage. Everything was delicious. We are looking forward to coming back soon for lunch. Prasino's is a refreshing change from most of the restaurants in the St. Louis area!"

  • "Had an early lunch and it was great. Waiter offered a sample of lunch side salad on special that day. Had Turkey burger and mini beet salad. Portions were large for lunch. Waiter was very nice and helpful but could not answer basic questions without going back to kitchen 2-3 times. Wine I asked for on menu was not available and they did not have a substitute. I would definitely recommend it and will go back."

  • "This was our second time at your restaurant and our waiter was the same both times. We are quite old! And can't remember his name, but he is outstanding. Has tried all dishes, was very informed as to which Chardonnay was oaky and which was not. I think his name was George but my husband thinks it starts with an L."

  • "We had an exceptional bartender. She was was patient and kind. She allowed for us to ask questions about the whiskey and tequilas available. She had very good knowledge of these liquors. She knew how they are made and history of each. She also allowed us to taste mezcal which was an interesting experience. She made the night. We had wished we stayed at the bar instead of going to the dining area. The bar was quieter and more relaxed the dining area was super loud and busy. The dining area is like a loud fancy cafeteria. The service and food was good but too loud. Our bartender had long purple hair can't remember her name."

  • "I've always had a good experience at this restaurant. But this time my waitress was not good. A friend had been there the day before and had plantain chips. This was not a side on the menu (it needs to be updated). Yet, the waitress did not offer the 'new' sides when I asked. When I inquired about the plantains she said I could have them. My friend asked about a soup and waitress said 'oh, that is the special of the day'. We had to ask HER what the specials were, yet, she didn't tell us the whole list!!! Several people after me ordered yet another thing she had not mentioned. Could be that gratuity is automatically included in the bill (20%). Would have never given her 20%. Not a good waitress at all. And she forgot to bring the doggy bag."

  • "Love the Urban cocktail. The Grass Fed Beef Rib-Eye was excellent. Though, a little less salt world have been nice. No need for the Blue and Goat cheese topper. The Short Ribs were a bit bland for my taste but very good. Their ice cream and sorbet's are excellent. Hard floors make it hard to talk in restaurant area. Had a bad experience crossing the street from parking lot to get there. Seems like people leaving the Ameristar Casino cut through to get to 70 East bound on ramp. Cross walk not well painted."

  • "My first visit to this establishment........everything was outstanding. Great decor and food, had the short ribs and cauliflower au gratin (excellent). Wife and I split the large greek salad...terrific. Finished the meal off with a cappuccino and chocolate molten cake. Waiter was exceptional as was the food."

  • "I will try to keep this brief. The food is superior. Really, really good. A bit pricey, but the quality of the selections make you feel like it was money well-spent. This was my first visit, (I will definitely come back) and the occasion was my wedding anniversary so atmosphere-wise, it wasn't the intimate setting we might have had elsewhere, but I can't rave enough about my Bible-thick, maple & peppercorn with bacon pork loin. Punkin gnocchi were a treat as well. Lose the brussels sprouts though. Nobody likes those. Drinks were good, loved the extended happy hour... But at first we couldn't hardly hear each other talk over the crowd noise. When the crowd thinned around 8pm, noise wasnt a factor. IMO, a positive experience."

  • "Our son took us there for Father's Day. We were so impressed with design of the restaurant. Contemporary, open spaces. The restaurant serves organically grown food. Culinary Art School, located next door, supplies some herbs and greens for restaurant by growing that in the raised bed garden located next to the restaurant. For appetizer we order avocado with lobster, bacon flat bread. For entries -hamburger, chicken sandwich, short ribs, beet salad. We shared all that. Food is magically delicious!!! All of it. Server was very nice and helpful. He was very knowledgeable, was telling us in details what ingredients each dish consist of. We recommend you to try that definitely."

  • "Food was average to disappointing. Appetizer selection was not available, steak kabobs,at 6pm which I found odd. The Lava rolls were excellent. The first selection of wine chosen by a member of my party was not available,also odd. She did enjoy her second selection and I enjoyed my wine. Of the 5 in our group, 2 totally enjoyed their meals, skirt steak and pork steak The lobster rolls were horrible and the pork loin was just okay (sauce was overpowering). However, the service was very good and we were in and out in an hour and a half which is also very good. Due to the unavailability of appetizers and wine coupled with the fair rating for the food I can only give this experience an overall good rating. However I will most likely come back."

  • "I have been to this restaurant before and had great food and service, but this visit was not as enjoyable. While the food was great, our server was horrible. I have been in the industry for 15 years and know people have bad days, but he really should have taken the night off. He made snide comments to our group and I don't think we saw him smile once. He was attentive, but we felt like we were bothering him by being there. We will be back because we love the food and atmosphere but hope we are not seated in his section again."

  • "Overall our experience at Praisino was good. I found the wine list to be lacking, mostly because they serve sustainable wines which are harder to find. Next time, I will bring my own wine. We were there for my parent's 45th wedding anniversary and it was VERY loud and at times very hard for us to hear each other. The sparerib nachos are amazing as is the "A little heat from mexico" drink. "

Our server (I wish I remembered his name) was very attentive and helpful with wrapping paper we needed to dispose of from gifts for our bride-to-be! Other times I have been there, but service was hit or miss, but last Friday's lunch server gave us "over-the-top" service! Kudos!"

  • "As someone who chooses a limited diet, it is so nice to have a restaurant close to home with multiple options. Not only do they cater to our dietary needs, but they also have food our friends and family will enjoy, too, making it easier to plan outings for brunch, lunch, and dinner. While we love the food and ambiance, we have had a few servers who weren't the best, but we keep going back because the good makes it easy to overlook a few bad experiences with service. It should also be noted that the kitchen is sometimes slower than you'd think. But, if you can wait, the food is good enough you'll forget about the tardiness."

  • "Excellent service and food!!! We had the salmon and walleye. Both were cooked perfectly, not overdone. Presentation was appealing and sides were complimentary to the main dish. Lava cake was shared and was very moist. Coffee was great! Will return!"

  • "I coaxed my husband to try Prasino's after church. When we arrived, we were seated immediatly. There was a small band playing in the bar area which I found interesting at 11:00 on a Suday morning. The music was good, but a little loud. We sat in the dining area and could still here the music in there. noise level was pretty high andwas hard to hear each other talking. I chose the Hippie Omeletwhich was excellent. Creamy and full of spinach, etc. MY husband ordered the Smoked Salmon. He liked it, but there weren't many capers or chopped eggs on it and asked the waiter for more. It was served on a bagel which was different and not listed in the menu. Our waiter was very helpful and nice. OVerall, a great experience. "
