A word from Posto Pizzeria and Bar
We are adults here. We like to drink wine, sometimes lots of it. We also enjoy delicious food. Most importantly, we like to share these passions with our friends.

Our menu is small, but stacked with delicious food. Try a few of our smaller items or feast on a selection of pizzas and larger plates. It’s up to you. Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "We had been to Posto for pizza at lunch, but this was the first time for dinner. There were a couple of appetizer specials that were excellent. We tried the squash blossoms, burrata and the pig tail croquettes. We liked the squash blossoms so much that we ordered a second dish, but they were sold out already! Pizzas were excellent as usual. Service was friendly, helpful and attentive. We ate on the patio however it is practically in the parking lot, so there is not much atmosphere. It was a Sunday evening, so it was fairly quiet in the parking lot. Watched the parking attendant ticket cars. If you park there, make sure to pay!"

  • "We ordered four dishes to share - tomato salad with warm goat cheese, squash blossoms, pasta carbonara, croquettes. All were delicious, presented beautifully. Highly recommended."

  • "I generally enjoyed my experience at Posto Pizzeria. My husband and I had a the chicken pizza and 3 appetizers (squash flowers, romaine salad, and mezza luna). They were all tasty, with special props to the squash flowers. We did have an odd experience with the man seating us. First, we were told that we would have to sit at the bar (despite having reservations). When we pointed to an open table, we were allowed to sit there. As we were sitting down, he suggested that we order only one pizza. Apparently, their oven can only handle two pizzas at a time, so if we ordered two we'd risk waiting around. It was just weird...this is a pizzeria. I think 2 people should be permitted to each order a pizza without bringing the restaurant to a halt."

  • "Every item on their selective menu is appealing. Great for sharing, the charcuterie board is an excellent way to start and every dish from the Porchetta special to the Gorgonzola stuffed figs to the pizzas were top notch. Servers are knowledgable and helpful - excellent wine recommendation!"

  • "The potato pizza (#2 on the menu) was incredible; it was unique, full of flavour and simply delicious. The prosciutto pizza (#10) had the best tomato sauce I've ever tasted. Service was excellent from all members we interacted with, and the ambience was lovely for a dinner for two. Thank you Posto, see you soon."

  • "We sat on the patio. which was pretty nice. The pizza was really tasty, but the service and everything else was average. I found it expensive for what you got, and there wasn't much variety on the wine list....expensive to very expensive, very little to chose from under $60/bottle."

  • "We anticipated a dining experience that would rival Bonterra. It was unfortunate, this place has potential but requires the staff to be supervised. The food was overall ok. It is an open kitchen, so when our order was late/mixed up they gave us some one else's, Ok for us I guess. Our waiter was cool hip and knowledgeable but had a strong alcohol odor, perhaps from a stampede event before getting to work. A manager should have caught this. One waitress was a shining star, she was not ours but helped us out. There was no presence of a manager and the whole place was running as a collective of independents. We would not rush back, sorta like most of Calgary these days and I guess one can't set the bar too high during stampede."

  • "The restaurant had a good vibe but the portions were small for the price that was paid for. Overall, a cool restaurant but the portion sizing was too expensive."

  • "Good choices of appetizers and pizzas. Toppings on the pizzas are thoughtfully designed and super delicious. Service is friendly but not intrusive. Great place to meet friends."

  • "A group of 5 went to Posto and we ordered 3 appetizers, a bread basket and 2 pizzas to share. Although the food was very good, the portions were ridiculously small for the appetizers. We ordered a double order of the scallop with squid ink gnocchitini and when the plate came, the double portion would have barely been enough for 1 person, let alone 5 people. Although I would return to Posto for the pizza, which was great, I would just shy away from appetizers."

  • "Tuesday nite dinner & place was packed, noisy, lively lots of conversations happening! Service good, food was good. Pizza crust is excellent, one of the best we have had & of course the pizza was very tasty. Antipasti platter was good but pricey for kind of a smaller portion."

  • "One of my favourite spots. Great food, wine list and excellent service. Staff are trained well, menu is simple but sophisticated. A top dining experience in the city!"

  • "My first experience at Posto shortly after it opened was amazing. I loved the food and the service was exceptional. It seems that as it has become more popular, the level of service as well as quality of the food has decreased drastically. Many menu item favorites were no longer available, portion sizes have decreased and the prices seem to have risen......"

  • "Ambience, food selection, location all good. One major disappointment. One pizza at a time. Each of us ordered our own individual pizza. The toppings are very unique and make for great experimentation on something different than the average pizza. However, our pizzas were delivered one at a time. The first one arrived almost cold. But we were so hungry I ate it anyways. I offered my pizza to share since my guest has no food. His pizza came almost 10 minutes after. His was piping hot luckily. We did raise our disappointment to the server. Her answer - "We'll we only have 1 person doing the pizzas (despite having 2 cooks on) and we do 1 at a time. " Really? For this reason, I will not go back and will not recommend it to others."

  • "Hmm.. I ate here early on when it opened and I thought the pizza was a truer neapolitan style, but it was not that way yesterday. Thick chewy crust, ok if you like it that way. I don't. The service was very good. The ambience is quite noisy and it is a bit difficult to have a conversation at lunch. It would also be nice if they had a vino di casa option as all wines by the glass are expensive."

  • "I brought a friend of mine here for lunch as she hadn't been yet and heard good things. I've reviewed Posto before, giving it glowing reviews for great food & service, and this was no different. BUT….. My friend beat me there. She didn't anything during lunch about this, but it bothered her enough to call me up. Apparently, some guy at the door looked up, she said the name the reso was under, but he didn't say two words, half brought her to the table and said, "Table in the corner". Passed her some menus and not any other words were exchanged. Who exactly is this guy? A manager? Upset because he has to seat someone? It's so beneath him?? Advice: Welcome people, make small talk and say your server will be right with you. Restaurant 101. "

  • "I have eaten here three times and the first two times were very good. The last time my pizza was overlcooked to the point where it could not be cut with a knife. It tasted burnt and the crust was in fact burnt. The wine we wanted was out of stock. They did just a substitute at $15.00 more. To be fair when I said their choice was too expensive they offered to go next door and see if there was a more reasonable choice available. Our server was a delight. "

  • "Wife and I went here the other day. The food was good, but I found it kinda pricey for what you get. We ordered a $24 salami/ cheese plate, and I figured for that price it would be packed...but nope, more like a snack for one IMHO. Had to order a bread basket to make up for it. We also ordered a pizza, which was very good, and was worth the price. The service and decor was nice, and the place was very busy, so others must really like it. Not sure if I'd go back."

  • "I loved the atmosphere, decor and the food was great. The music that evening was great - our server was happy to share her play list information with us. She also made good recommendations for additions to our pizza that weren't on the menu."

  • "The food at Posto was delicious, so props to the chef. Unique, fun, and lots of different flavors. The service, on the other hand, was so slow. A weekday meal with nothing particularly special (one appie, two mains, two desserts) took three hours. Wanted to really love this place, but with others mentioning less than ideal service too, might give it a while before trying again. "

  • "We were surprised that Posto was bustling on a Monday night which is always a good sign! The service was excellent throughout the night- we were warmly greeted, seated quickly, never had to wait for waters to be topped up, server made some great suggestions, including the proscuitto and arugula pizza. I've had a variation on this pizza at numerous restaurants in Calgary and Posto is definitely the most generous with the toppings. I find other places to be very light handed- sparse on the cheese and only a few thin slices of proscuitto, but not at Posto- it was fully loaded, so to speak. Highly recommend Posto, we will be back!"

  • "The food is very good. We tasted two of their salads; both were great! The pizza dough is excellent; classic chewy Italian style. The pizza with arugula and prosciutto has an excellent combo of flavours, approved by all four in our group. The room is a bit small and crowded. We were seated near the center of the room, and were often bumped by the servers going by. Tables are small for their large serving dishes. I recommend requesting a table near the window or the wall, if you can. We were not offered any dessert, not sure if it's not available or if they were just eager to free up a table... Overall, good food and a pleasant casual ambiance."

  • "Business lunch last week - food always great, however, my clients became annoyed & so was I, that we had to wait over 30 min. for our pizza's. And others next to us ordered after us and received their food first. Not good if you are on a timeline with 1.30pm meetings... mike w 403 613 6728"

  • "I've been to Posto a few times now and have never been disappointed. The pizza is excellent especially the potato pizza and the one with wild mushrooms. We've sat at the chef's bar and always had great conversations with the Chef and the sous chefs. Watching the care and detail that they put into every dish really makes the food taste even better!"

  • "We sat at the pizza bar and watched the three chefs frantically attend to making approximatley 30-40 pizzas over the lunch hour. We were able to observe how each was made and talk to them about the specific toppings, cooking time and favorites. Great experience and now we know what else to order next time we come for lunch. Also, about time someone figured out that downtown needs more pizza places."

  • "Cool, casual vibe, especially at the bar. Lighting dramatic & intimate. Wonderful flavours waft out from the open kitchen. Servers are gracious, understated & intuitive. Lunch simply brilliant - started with BonAnno, lovely, spicy Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon, & then one of the three original salads, romaine, caper berry, heart of palm, pancetta, egg, endive & anchovy, & special pasta, Gnocchi with Truffle Oil. Beautiful presentation of both, salad crisp & flavourful & gnocchi, a light, tender, savoury perfection. Zeppole, heavenly tiny donut holes lightly sugar dusted & served with dark chocolate sauce & rich double expressos finished off a simply grand dining experience. Can't recommend this eclectic little pizzeria & bar highly enough"
