Welcome to Pogacha!

We feature a Northwest menu with the added flair of the Adriatic. Our cuisine is often described as Italian in that we feature pizzas (aka Pogachas) and pastas. At lunch time, we also feature sandwiches and salad. We bake our sandwich buns and serve fresh rolls with each menu twice a day and also use the dough for our gourmet pizzas. Our dinner menu includes seafood and steaks, lamb and beef tenderloin skewers along with our salads, pizzas and pastas. We have a large bar with a great appetizer selection and daily happy hours. Private dining rooms are available for special functions and events.

Made a 9:15 reservation not realizing the restaurant closed at 9:30. Arrived early (before 9), waited at hostess stand. Hostess arrived after a few minutes, checked something on the computer, and walked away without ever looking our way. We started to leave at that point because while there were plenty of employees at the bar in the open kitchen area etc no one had greeted us or even made eye contact. The restaurant was not busy at all. In fact once we were finally seated there was only one other occupied table. My son had the BBQ chicken pogocha, and I had the skewered steak. Both were just okay. Nothing that made me want to come back again. We've visited this place only a few times over the past 6 or 7 years, never have we left impressed with what we had. Although the bread you get before your entree is really good. Our waiter was attentive, kept refilling our glasses. But it seemed to take a long time for our food to be served.

We had one of the worst dining out experiences we've ever had. We used to frequent Pogacha, but hadn't been in years and decided to try it out again. It will be the last time. The server was incredibly rude and argumentative. For the first time in my life, I left a $0.00 tip. It was horrible.

Celebrating our wedding anniversary at Pogacha (Issaquah) was such a great find. It was our first experience there but we will definitely be back. From the moment we were greeted to the end of the evening we encountered superb service, scrumptious food, and entertainment that iced the cake for me! (Jaz, Saxaphone, dancing, & a night cap)

The bar scene at Pogacha appears to be very popular as it was jammed Friday evening and night. Our group of 6 was only in the dining room for dinner. The menu offered a reasonable variety of options. The wine list was fair. Our disappointment was with the waiter and bussers. There was a very notable lack of attention to our table. More than once we had to ask for water glassed to be filled. The appetizer plates were not cleared before our entrées arrived making for an awkward exchange of plates between diners and staff. The waiter made it clear he was in a hurry, putting the entrée plates down bang,-bang-bang and without description/confirmation of what was on the plate. The entrées for four of us were served on square plates. None of the those plates were set down squared to the edge of the table. Each of them had a corner hanging over requiring each of us to adjust our plates. Five of us were served when the waiter said "Bon Appetit." When I pointed to the yet-to-be-served guest, the waiter said, "Yah, it's coming." To make room for the entrée plates I took the wine menu off the table and held it in my hands. The waiter and staff left our table until I could get their attention to hand them the menu. The place screamed of an untrained or undertrained wait staff. Most of us were happy with our meals. The veal marsala was fair at best; a bit tough and dry.

Always curious what a "Pogacha" is. It's a flatbread with toppings on it similar to a pizza. There's nothing special about it. We liked the Pogacha salad.

Average in all aspects. I don't see what the "hype" is when it comes to the Pogacha restaurants. They are usually busy, but the food is only mediocre. I must be missing something.

The meal was a nice break from the ordinary. The seafood risotto was creamy and the shellfish was tasty. I would not recommend the house Merlot. I wasn't interested in paying much for a single glass of wine, so I ordered it without looking at menu. It was awful and I barely finished it.

The food was good and the Pogacha bread is delicious, but the service was lackluster. Our server seemed very annoyed to be there...kinda puts a damper on the celebratory event for which we were there: my birthday and my husband's.
