  • "Great environment, Great people. Love the food and everyone needs to try this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • "Walking by one would not know that the inside is nicely decorated. The chef took notice of my allergies and prepared a dish that was delicious. It was nice to see food portions that are not so American sized. Would definitely return."

  • "Po Pazzo is a nice restaurant with excellent service. The bruschetta was delicious and served beautifully. We were, however, disappointed in our main meals. One of us ordered Nonna's spaghetti, which was a lot of food. The short rib was tender, but not very flavorful, and we experienced the same lack with the Bolognese sauce. The filet mignon was good, but not great. We'd heard great things about this restaurant, so were let down by the quality of the food. Po Pazzo is a nice space, however, and as stated earlier, the service was efficient and friendly. Food came in a timely manner, and we did not feel rushed. Not too sure if we will return."

  • "it never fails that the service and the food is great. The waitress was very friendly and helpful without being pushy or a pain. The food was great as always. We usually stay after dinner to enjoy the music at the bar. One of our must stop when we are in San Diego. Great place for special occasion/groups/romantic evening/great dinner."

  • "Service and food is unrivaled. The only restaurant that we will drive from Riverside to San Diego just to eat!"

  • "My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here. The food was great. I had the Arugula Berry Salad and my husband had the Cucumber Salad. Both were delicious and a good size (not too big or too small). For entrees, I ordered a daily special, Chilean Sea Bass with Lobster Risotto and Asparagus. My husband had the Scallops which were dusted with a spicy rub, and his was also served with the Lobster Risotto and he substituted the Asparagus for Spinach. Our server was very knowledgeable and did a great job helping with the wine. We shared an Italian white wine called Vermentio that reminded us of being in Italy! Live music started around 8:00 pm, so the atmosphere was festive. Our overall experience was great. We will be back."

  • "I have been to the restaurant several times in the past, always delightful. My wife and I ordered the halibut and we were both disappointed. The fish was pretty dry and relatively tasteless. Our 2 other guests were very pleased with their dinners. So, I chalk it up as an anomaly."

  • "I chose the osso bucco at the recommendation of the server. The meat was good but the pasta that was served with it was dry and sticking together. My husband had the "Pasata a la Nonna." It was not that great."

  • "Dinner for two, evening date. Service was friendly, profession, attentive and Italian, which is always nice to see in Little Italy. Food was delicious, and the wine selections were satisfying. Overall, I would certainly recommend this place."

  • "Once again a wonderful dinner on a special occasion. Po pizza is always a treat and the ambiance is so special there. I think it's one of the really special places to dine in Little Italy."

  • "We ordered sea bass but I think we were served halibut. It was fine. Also a big steak, which was only very so-so. The menu is not really Italian so much as traditional steakhouse type food with a bit of Italian thrown in."

  • "We had a 6pm reservation on a Monday night, so it was very quiet inside the restaurant. Our server Ciago was very friendly and explained the seafood specials. We started with the Bruschetta appetizer and then moved on to dinner. The Nonna's Spaghetti was filled with several meats and made for a satisfying meal. The mushroom and asparagus risotto was also very tasty, but almost tipped the scale when it came to the amount of thick cut mushrooms in it. It almost sent us searching for the asparagus. My son ordered the lobster ravioli in a seafood bisque, which he about fell over when he ate it. I got the blackened wild salmon special with spinach and lobster linguini. Ciago was attentive throughout our time there - we'll be back!"

  • "We were disappointed in the quality of our meals. My meal was OK, another guest's meal was poor. The two other guests said just ok. We did notice that your restaurant was not very crowded for a Sat. night in Little Italy, esp. as we walked by some restaurants with large crowds. Personally, charging $39 - $42 for an entree seems excessive. Some entrees are reasonably priced, i.e., pasta dishes; others too expensive for the area. We do like the bar and entertainment and will return for the bar and bar service next time. Our service and servers were excellent. That is definitely something in your favor."

  • "Nice place for solo or group. Food is Italian-American (vs. true Italian) which is true of every place I've tried in Little Italy. For authentic Italian, I go to OperaCaffe on 4th in San Diego. Atmosphere at Po Pazzo made it easy to converse with friends."

  • "Just the right amount of activity and loved the music! Only problem was the TV on in the bar. You can see it from everywhere. Distracts from a romantic night, particularly when the hockey game turned into a surgery show! Please turn it off. NO ONE was watching."

  • "Entering the restaurant we were greeted by a friendly hostess who sat us immediately, giving us a choice of outdoor, indoor (table or booth). We choose the booth, which was on the opposite side of the building as the bar. Our server gave of several options of meals and answered all our questions from the menu. He brought the bottle of wine we ordered and gave us time to enjoy it before bringing us our cucumber salads. Then after letting us enjoy more of our wine he brought our meals. My wife had the New York steak and I had the Lobster Raviolli. Both meals were excellent. We then indulged in a wonderful desert. We never felt rushed and I also had an after dinner aperitif. Po Pazzo is a definite gem with great food, staff and ambience!"

  • "We had an amazing dining experience. My husband loves veal and it was just taken off the menu. Our server, Gary spoke with the chef. The chef made a special veal Parmesan. Gary had great recommendations on appetizers and wine. We enjoy great food and appreciate the chef's willingness to accommodate. The service, food, wine and atmosphere were outstanding! We will dine with them again."

  • "Mediocre pasta. outstanding ambience with a jazz singer in the bar, very romantic. Our waiter gave us very poor service from beginning to end. We will not be back to dine here and will be writing a critical review on Yelp. Stay away! We will be back to take advantage of the bar area and the jazz singers. "

  • "Love this place. I go here about 5X per year for dinner and it's my FAVORITE lunch spot. you can always get in, very quiet, personalized service and the menu is diversified yet so very reasonable for lunch. I had a shrimp/lobster cocktail for under $15, loaded with seafood and delicious. I've had the lobster risotto and the pasta, both very good. you can't spend $15 on a lunch as every entree is less than, BUT the Po Pazzo great way. HIGHLY recommend for lunch, it will become your favorite spot. only frustration can be parking..........grab the FIRST spot you pay and bring change for old fashion meters"

  • "Loved this restaurant so much! The ambiance is great- low lighting, live music, and fun atmosphere. Food was fantastic and service was great. We will be visiting again next time we're in the area! "

  • "Our server was great. But what happened behind the scene is unexplainable. Food was delivered to us that wasn't for out table. Followed by food delievered to the wrong person on our table then being asked "Are you sure" , not just once, but four times and twice to one of my guests. By the time it was figured out, most of the food was not hot. "Are you sure" became our inside joke the rest of the night downtown. I usually don't complain, but I guess, since I've been asked, I am now complaining."

  • "We have been to Po Pazzo many times and typically enjoy the entire experience. We had a little bit different experience this time. My husband ordered the filet mignon and it came with mashed potatoes, which were COLD (not just lukewarm, but actually cold) - so he didn't eat them. Our friend ordered the mushroom pasta and didn't eat about 1/3 of it because she said it was warm only on the "inside." We mentioned it and they came back with two free desserts, which was nice, but I would rather have a good hot meal. Then, some older womenat the table next to us (70-80) came over to ask us to "keep it down!" The restaurant is loud, with a live band - if you "keep it down" you can't have a conversation. Of course, that's not the restaurant's fault."

  • "My daughter and I really wanted to like this place as the staff-hostess, bartender, waitperson, busser--were all so nice. The ambience was lovely and they had good live music. Unfortunately, the food was just awful. I ordered a Cosmo that I took one sip of and just left on the table. We each ordered a salad; they were both reasonably ok, just a little underseasoned. We ordered the mushroom risotto which was inedible; unpleasant texture and tasted like overcooked Rice-a-Roni. We did not complain, they just noticed she did not eat it and offered to bring something else or not charge for it. We really appreciated that. The other dish was the lobster ravioli. The filling was fine but the pasta was gummy and tough, we cut off most of it."

  • "We had an amazing meal at the hidden gem. We were visiting San Diego and yelped Italian restaurants. Po Pazzo was buried within a few pages because there are so many Italian restaurants there. Thank goodness I kept looking. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Po Pazzo had live jazz music and a beautiful singer. The ambience was fantastic. Hands down…this was the best service I've EVER had at a restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive but not intrusive. We HIGHLY recommend Po Pazzo. Enjoy!"

  • "Enjoyable birthday dinner for 4 on a fairly quiet Monday night. Veal chop special was very good - a lot of food. Ribeye steak was just average. Service was about right - not hovering, but available. A little pricey $200 + tip, considering only a couple glasses of wine. Decor is nice. Overall, decent place for a special occasion, or maybe a romantic dinner in Little Italy."

  • "I arranged reservations at Po Pazzo for 2:00 to avoid restaurant traffic and obtain intimacy and quiet. I was rewarded. The service was exquisite and we were lucky to have the attention of server/bartender/maitre de, Alex - Kudos to his fine attitude, skill and discretion. The ambience was hushed (unlike the evening trade) but unhurried and attentive. We didn't leave until 5:30 - much to talk about but impossible to have accomplished this elsewhere. Our tab was under $90.00 and we tipped $20 - most of the bill on account of exotic drinks that Alex served up. An endearing atmosphere and at the same time a place where an important business discussion can be conducted. I will certainly return - this place is special !"

  • "My wife and I went for Valentines and I was really disappointed in the food. Typical of the Valentines experiences I hate, they had a "special menu", the prices were inflated and they did away with all the good Italian food that Buscalacchi's restaurants are known for. Instead, the only had one pasta dish, it wasn't on the menu and the chicken I had was so over cooked and tough I had to send it back. All I can say is, 'cmon man!"

  • "Stopped by this restaurant for second restaurant week dinner with my girlfriend. Good food, fantastic service, and overall a good vibe. We had tomato bisque, caesar salad, ribeye, salmon, cannoli, and tiramisu. All of them was good except the cannoli. Perhaps the frying oil was getting old. Nonetheless, the service was one of the best I've ever seen. Waiter was very humorous and he checked on us very frequently. Runner filled our water at least five times. This was I expect on a slow Tuesday night."
