Sure our name, Po Pazzo, is Italian, but the food pays homage to the best urban bar and grille. Sound Crazy?
That's what Po Pazzo means, just a little crazy.

Our menu is filled with great appetizers, ample steaks, superb salads and unique side dishes. Our wonderfully extensive bar serves the best wines and liquors. Our staff is friendly and ready to serve.

  • "We have been to Po Pazzo many times and typically enjoy the entire experience. We had a little bit different experience this time. My husband ordered the filet mignon and it came with mashed potatoes, which were COLD (not just lukewarm,but actually cold) - so he didn't eat them. Our friend ordered the mushroom pasta and didn't eat about 1/3 of it because she said it was warm only on the "inside." We mentioned it and they came back with two free desserts, which was nice,but I would rather have a good hot meal. Then, some older womenat the table next to us (70-80) came over to ask us to "keep it down!" The restaurant is loud, with a live band - if you "keep it down" you can't have a conversation. Of course, that's not the restaurant's fault."

  • "We had an amazing meal at the hidden gem. We were visiting San Diego and yelped Italian restaurants. Po Pazzo was buried within a few pages because there are so many Italian restaurants there. Thank goodness I kept looking. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Po Pazzo had live jazz music and a beautiful singer. The ambience was fantastic. Hands down…this was the best service I've EVER had at a restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive but not intrusive. We HIGHLY recommend Po Pazzo. Enjoy!"

  • "My daughter and I really wanted to like this place as the staff-hostess, bartender, waitperson, busser--were all so nice. The ambience was lovely and they had good live music. Unfortunately, the food was just awful. I ordered a Cosmo that I took one sip of and just left on the table. We each ordered a salad; they were both reasonably ok, just a little underseasoned. We ordered the mushroom risotto which was inedible; unpleasant texture and tasted like overcooked Rice-a-Roni. We did not complain, they just noticed she did not eat it and offered to bring something else or not charge for it. We really appreciated that. The other dish was the lobster ravioli. The filling was fine but the pasta was gummy and tough, we cut off most of it."

  • "Enjoyable birthday dinner for 4 on a fairly quiet Monday night. Veal chop special was very good - a lot of food. Ribeye steak was just average. Service was about right - not hovering, but available. A little pricey $200 + tip, considering only a couple glasses of wine. Decor is nice. Overall, decent place for a special occasion, or maybe a romantic dinner in Little Italy."

  • "I arranged reservations at Po Pazzo for 2:00 to avoid restaurant traffic and obtain intimacy and quiet. I was rewarded. The service was exquisite and we were lucky to have the attention of server/bartender/maitre de, Alex - Kudos to his fine attitude, skill and discretion. The ambience was hushed (unlike the evening trade) but unhurried and attentive. We didn't leave until 5:30 - much to talk about but impossible to have accomplished this elsewhere. Our tab was under $90.00 and we tipped $20 - most of the bill on account of exotic drinks that Alex served up. An endearing atmosphere and at the same time a place where an important business discussion can be conducted. I will certainly return - this place is special !"

  • "My wife and I went for Valentines and I was really disappointed in the food. Typical of the Valentines experiences I hate, they had a "special menu", the prices were inflated and they did away with all the good Italian food that Buscalacchi's restaurants are known for. Instead, the only had one pasta dish, it wasn't on the menu and the chicken I had was so over cooked and tough I had to send it back. All I can say is, 'cmon man!"

  • "Stopped by this restaurant for second restaurant week dinner with my girlfriend. Good food, fantastic service, and overall a good vibe. We had tomato bisque, caesar salad, ribeye, salmon, cannoli, and tiramisu. All of them was good except the cannoli. Perhaps the frying oil was getting old. Nonetheless, the service was one of the best I've ever seen. Waiter was very humorous and he checked on us very frequently. Runner filled our water at least five times. This was I expect on a slow Tuesday night."

  • "We had a group of 5 girls that came for restaurant week. The food here was excellent however the service was another thing. Maybe it was an off night but our group wasn't impressed. We ordered a bottle of wine which he poured and then he didn't come back by the table for almost 30 mins. I literally had to tap at his arm as he was walking by us to ask if we could order. We also had to stop someone to ask them if we could have bread as well. Once the food started coming the service was ok until we finished dessert and our waiter had disappeared again for another 30 mins. We had to flag him down again once he came back into the room to ask for the check. Overall the food was delicious but a 2 1/2 hr dinning time was not our cup of tea."

  • "I read Po Pazzo served large portions. So four of us split two salads and two entrees and a superb and very reasonably priced bottle of Nero D'Avila (Italian red wine from Sicily). The food was delicious and beautiful to boot. The service was impeccable and friendly. We dined outdoors and enjoyed a Little Italy Friday night street scene. Inside is an elegant bar, many circular booths tucked around the edge, large and small wood tables in the center, and during dinner, a wonderful piano player. Noise is low everywhere and we'd go back anytime."

  • "We dine at Po Pazzo about once a month. service is always excellent, presentation professional and in general a wonderful environment to spend a casual evening. About 90% of the time our dinner is perfect. The $25 corkage fees seems very high. The most we recall ever paying is $20 and in many cases that is waived or reduced for regular customers. We ordered several cocktails in addition to bringing a favorite wine to celebrate a birthday. The drinks needed to be remade because the were very watery because of being over shaken. Despite the glitches above we would recommend this establishment. Nice background music without interfering with being able to have conversations which is a delicate balance most restaurants do not achieve"
