"We loved our lunch...but..we had the Friday special lamb shank..we could'nt find the polenta underneath the large, generous shank portion. We asked fo a splash more of the Polenta to pick up the delicate sauce. Chef said ..for $5...ridiculous..polenta is corn mush...that was very silly. The rest of the meal, service etc was perfect!"

"I was very excited to finally try the infamous Pizzeria Mozza. There has been a lot of hype surrounding this new restaurant. The atmosphere was energetic and quite loud but great for a group looking for a fun night. The food was good but extremely over priced. They even charge for bread and olive oil. I left hungry and unfortunately, a bit disappointed."

"I was quite excited to visit the OC Mozza as I have been eating at the LA Mozza now for years. Mozza's pizza is the best in the US as far as I'm concerned; I know, it's not deep dish and I do give props to the East Coast/Jersey varietal, for me, thin crust is the only way to go for us West Coast healthy foodies.

Now for the painful part: OC Mozza is not yet ready for prime time. If it was just the service, (it took 40 minutes to get our caprese appetizer)I'd say it was an off day, but the delicious thick toasted bread had a half of inch of olive oil poured on top! Nancy,(Silverton) are you stopping by OC every now and then? They've been open for 5 months, but they need more time to get it right before I'll be recommending."

"food was good, but not great compared to the price that it commands. Pizza got burned on some parts, and I don't recall seeing this when I was in its LA location. I think the quality is better in LA than Newport Beach."

"We enjoyed our time. Have eaten at Mozzarella in LA and found this comparable. Love the antipasti choices. My husband would go for the desserts alone. We had noted on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday but their was no acknowledgement of it."

"Although the location in L.A. was once my favorite, this Newport Beach Location is a very close second favorite!! Nobody does pizza like Mozza! My favorite is the leak and goat cheese with bacon pizza! Soooooooooooooooooooo delicious! I also love the squash blossom appetizer and the butterscotch budino for desert! The wines are just delicious too! Fantabulous! So happy I don't need to drive to L.A. when I need a Mozza fix now!"

"We had a wonderful meal and excellent service at Mozza Saturday night. Very busy, had to wait a bit for our reservation, but the front desk staff was exceptional in keping us in the loop. Once we were seated, the manager came by to thank us for our patience and welcome us to the restuarant. Our server did an exceptional job describing to us about the various menu items, and made excellent suggestions, which we followed. Don't miss the english peas, and the crusted goat cheese with lentils! The mussels were very tastey, but difficult to release from their shells, not sure why. Pizza, which we came in for, was exceptional!"
