  • "Went here for my daughter in law's birthday. Our party was of 4, including a 1 yr old. As soon as we came in the Maitre'D seated us and asked the birthday girl if she wanted some prosecco to celebrate. Sure! But he brought a glass for each of us, complimentary! The service was outstanding throughout. The food was very good, except the Pork Jowls which were a bit salty. My salmon was luscious. At the end of the meal, they presented the birthday girl with a complimentary dessert of a lava cake cupcake with strawberry ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. The thoughtful touches of complimentary wine and dessert were much appreciated. and we will continue to enjoy this neighborhood gem."

  • "I've been coming to Piatti for work lunches and friendly catch ups for arund a year now and I do not recall any issues at all when ordering from a simplified menu, partnered with good wines/drinks. Service is always timely and positive and even with my picky ordering, they always deliver without a question or complaint that they are not allowed to differ from the menu. Definitely recommend for an easy feed with nice open surroundings."

  • "I'm always on the lookout for a good place to eat that also can accommodate my gluten free diet. Piattis is a great option....nice deep Italian menu, knowledgeable staff, fun atmosphere and convenient to our home. I was first steered here by colleagues at a nearby "tech" company for lunch and I have been back with family and friends for dinner. So far two good experiences!"

  • "Service was good, but the food was not. Used to go here for business lunches and once in a while a happy hour as it is close to my office, but it seems they have given up on tryng to be good because they know that there isn't much around so they will get business regardless of their effort. Last time I as there the calamari was almost burnt (dark dark brown), which should never have been served,and I left over half of my salmon because it just tasted aweful. Was with customer so I didn't want to complain, but I will not be going back."

  • "Eaten here a couple times in the past, never found it to be anything special, this time it was really good. Service was attentive, seated quickly, water, warm bread & olive oil brought out and they made sure to put enough baskets spread out on our long table, which was really nice. Had the cobb salad, it was really good, everyone in our group of 6 enjoyed their food. They brought a birthday dessert for the birthday girl It was delicious), although it would be nice if they would remember instead of me having to remind them. When I put that in the notes on OpenTable I always hope they will read it and take the service to the next level by paying attention. Looking forward to another opportunity to eat there again. ."

The food seemed a little bit over priced, and the ambiance lacked as we were seated at a dinner table in the bar with another table less than two feet away. Not the sort of romantic evening we were looking for. I thought the food was decent, however, the fried calamari definitely lacked."

  • "Went here for valentines day. Food was great. Had baked ziti and a pizza with italian sausage. Both were very tasty. Service was terrific. Our waiter was friendly and always made sure our water was full. My only small gripe was that i wore black pants and there napkin on my lap covered me in white lint. Luckily i wasnt going anywhere else afterwards. Other than that, i have no complaints. Everything else was great."

  • "We went there for Valentine's Day as it was one of the few places that had openings with short notice. Ambiance is fine- not fancy, more trendy. Service was so-so. Waitress was rather OK, but rather sloppy and not personable. Slow to bring bread out- a good 10 minutes before they brought it out. We had calamari to start and it was not crisp, and the sauce was very bland. We ended up using the vinegar/olive oil. For our main course, we both had the filet mignon with lobster butter and potatoes. My filet was OK, my wife's was more tender. No veggies- just some thin potatoes sliced in half. Overall not a good value for the money, but at least we were able to get in on Valentine's Day when all the other good restaurants were booked."

  • "I invited several of my employees and other coworkers to dine at Piatti's and while the noise level was high - it was obvious by the wonderful smells ( starting from the outside - in) and the high energy happening throughout the restaraunt, that EVERYONE was having a good time. Food was fantastic and our server was very accomadating when we could not decide on which wine we wanted. She offered us a tasting and of course we ended up with the more expensive bottle . Case in POINT, listen to your first INTUITION. DESSERTS were to die for! WE loved the apple pie ice cream YUMMY Thanks for a great time! Next time I am up in the area for work, Piatti's will be my favorite go to local Italian dining hotspot! Angie"

  • "I take business clients frequently to Piatti. The food is good, interesting flavors, and enough change in the menu over time that the place is never repetitive. Some dishes are just outstanding, like the goat cheese ravioli, some are just plain good. The atmosphere is more geared towards business clientele than friends and family, from what I can tell . the outdoor dining patio is wonderful when the sun is out, when you want to see something besides bricks and mortar , and get a bit of Silicon valley blues skies and sunshine. On my most recent visit, it was on a holiday evening, so I got the sense that they had their service trainees on duty, as the table service was not up to their usual efficiency."

  • "we were there with business clients - service was not attentive, very slow, had to ask for things multiple times -- waitress would disappear for long periods of time. Too noisy to have light business conversation. Food was delicious. Service wasn't as good as I expected. I asked for a black napkin, she promised and I never got it, utensils were taken after the appetizers and we had to wait to get replacements once our meals came. We felt like we had to grab waitress in case she didn't come back. Not very attentive."

  • "The food is good and they a very creative menu. The waiter seemed to forget about us and never came by to ask if we wanted drink refills or more bread. We had to ask the girl at the front door who then went in the back and a few minutes later the waiter stopped by. If I am paying $75 for two people at lunch, I'd expect service better than Red Robin across the street, and RR's service is much much better."

The pasta bolognese was good and the half serving was just the right size. Nice apple crostata, but could have been bit warmer. All and all a pleasant dinner."

  • "We happened to pick a day when the restaurant was not seating past 1 pm for lunch due to the fact they were closing later for a private party. Our reservation, made a month ahead, was at 1. While everything was fine, you could feel a slight urgency to get everyone seated, served and out. It would have been nice if the restaurant had let us know what was going on that day. Other than that the food was fine - typical for a Piatti. I would return."

  • "The food is amazing here and they have a variety of plates. I would recommend trying any of their pasta dishes as they delicious. On this day though the service was not as usual and we waited for our orders for more than 30 minutes. Not sure if they were short on staff in the kitchen or with the wait staff."

  • "Piatti takes reservations, which is nice. They called the day of the event to verify that my plans have not changed. Our group of 6, all from a nearby electronics company, had lunch at Piatti a couple of days before Thanksgiving. Everyone was happy with their selections, mostly salads and sandwiches. Overall, a very good experience. One word of caution: don't go if you're in a hurry, since it does take a while to get your food."

  • "Picked this because it was near our hotel. Very good. Not a lot of choices on the menu but they were good choices. The food is well seasoned. The gnocchi was overwhelmed by its sauce and was a little mushy, but we are usually very picky on our gnocchi. The service was excellent, no complaints at all even though they were very busy. It is a loud but fun atmosphere."
