  • "The service was great and very attentive to all your needs. The best dish is the zucchini taggilate- incredibly delicious!"

  • "I live in Fiesta Texas neighborhood and Piatti's sits just above there inside the Eilan resort area. It is an elegant restaurant. I had lunch there Monday and it was very good. I am planning to return. There are many foods on the menu for vegetarians of which I am one. They take reservations even for a small group. That is a real plus for me."

  • "I loved the ambiance and the location. It was comfortable not crammed and the food was spectacular! I dont know if it was a mistake or not, but my group of 12 did not get charged a gratuity, so we left a larger about 20-25% tip between all of our checks. We really appreciated that a lot and that was the selling point to us as reasoning to go back! They have a very classy persona. The tiramishu was phenominal as well!"

  • "We have eaten at Piatti in the quarry numerous times and have always loved it; however this time was our first at Eilan and we were not very impressed. The food was excellent but the service was horrible! We waited an hour and a half for our entrees and we were only a party of four! Not once did the manager ever come by our table to apologize. The server said he had talked to the manager but yet nothing was done. The server said maybe don't come back on a Saturday night! Wow!! And you would think maybe then they would comp something from the bill for waiting that long but no! So from now on we will just continue to go to the quarry where the service and management is excellent."

  • "Food was not as good as the first time we went. Salad and appetizer very good. Main courses just ok. Service lame. We got our food 90 minutes after arriving. Our waiter seemed inexperienced and disorganized, but friendly."

  • "Food was excellent. I had the sweet potato crusted trout and misto salad. Hubby had Caesar salad and veal piccata. Both were excellent. We did have a skunky glass of Etude Pinot noir that was cheerfully replaced with a J Lohr Cabernet. It would be nice to be able to vary wines by the glass, but here in San Antonio we must grit our teeth and bear it. Most restaurants carry the same wines by the glass. My husband and I joke about it and frequently guess the wines offered by the glass before we've seen the list. Enough of my rant. Piatti's was great. Try the patio."

  • "Good food, vibrant environment, a little noisy but does not interfere with conversation. Very fun restaurant"

  • "It is a good place and a it has a very good food. Very nice new area of San Antonio, TX"

  • "Not knowing about this development, even with GPS, we found this restaurant hard to find. The service was excellent and the food exceeded expectations. Best of all, the restaurant was busy but quiet. We could actually have a conversation (high ceilings and wood baffles), unlike so many Italian restaurants where the noise level is so "energetic" that you are forced to leave before coffee and/or grappa. The carpaccio and the mixed salad to start were classic high-end italian and our lowly pizza perfect. We were just looking for a quick meal off the Loop 1604, found this restaurant through the Open Table app (restaurants near me), and took a chance knowing it was not a very inexpensive choice. Excellent value. Fantastic decision."

  • "Good food and service. Reasonably priced. It exceeded our expectations."

  • "This is what we would consider a moderately priced, nice ambiance, beautiful, and welcoming dining option. The food was preceded by perfectly crafted mojitos. While the veal picatta was a very tasty selection, the standout was the organic chicken breast which was moist, with a crunchy skin, and portioned very generously. The spinach and ricotta ravioli was beautifully assembled and served with a lovely cream sauce. Our collective favorite dessert was the berry dessert topped with oatmeal struessel."

  • "The waiter was a young, obviously inexperienced, but very pleasant young man. I ordered my usual Myers rum and coke. It tasted like whiskey and coke. I asked him to check. He returned some time later and advised they had 'run out of" Myers and they had given me "Makers and coke" instead. well---sounds like--. The caprese salad was really pretty bad. the mozzarella was ok but the tomatoes were out of season and barely red-mostly green and looked partially mashed. As to the entre"-- it was very late in arriving and the cannelloni had the consistency more like flour tortillas than the dainty crepe type we are familiar with. overall, it was a pretty bad experience and we won't return."

  • "I have visited Piatti's at Eilan four times and each time has been great! The dining experience is dynamic and the food is generally very good. Each entree we have had from the pizza to the trout has been excellent! Ordering wine is sometimes challenging. The wait staff could be more knowledgeable about the wine lists and wine recommendations. Desert presentations for celebrations has gone viral with the sparklers, which makes for a memorable evening."

  • "Heard about this restaurant from a friend. Food is delicious & a beautiful view. Definitely will recommend to others!"

  • "This was our first visit to Piatti's new restaurant over in the Eilan shopping area. Valet solved the issue where to park the car. What's nice is it's not a cookie cutter copy to the one in the Quarry. We had a reservation and even though there was a wait, we sat immediately. The wait staff was on the mark, the food was terrific as always and the manager made a stop by to ensure satisfaction. The area this new restaurant is in feels like you're in Europe, especially at night - very nice. We'll definitely be regular's."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "All four entree's seemed to be prepared rather differently from the staple location at the Quarry........I guess that is to be expected from time to time. We will continue to dine at Piatti, just not the Eilan location."

  • "The food was fabulous, the cocktail specials were very good as well. I felt bad for the Servers, as there is defintely an issue with the kitchen. Reservation was for 8:30, ordered Main Course by 9, food was not served until 9:50! Hopefully, this is just growing pains. Will defintely go back and try again."

  • "Reservation was for 7:45PM, so my wife and I arrived at 7:30. Valet service was poor, they did not open my wife's door. Checked in at 7:35. A hostess approached us about a minute later asking if we preferred inside or out (reservation said a booth was preferred), so we asked for inside. She said it would be a few minutes, but we ended up waiting 16 minutes past our reservation time. The hosts and management seemed to turn their noses to us, while Dan Ward, the GM, checked on other guests. Waited 5 minutes before waiter arrived. The waiter, Gabe, was great, but management continued to ignore us while checking all tables around us. The food was great and wine selection very good. Scenery was very nice. Definitely not for younger couples."

  • "everything was great for a special occasion. we ordered a bottle of very premium wine, and we were served something different, only to be told that it was the same wine from the same vinter. we know our wine and although he was correct, there is no sommelier in the restaurant to come to the table and explain. our young waiter also, opened and poured our guests glasses of wine without even providing an opportunity to taste before. In this neighborhood, if you're going to last with an upscale restaruant like this one, you had better invest in some training of the staff or at a minimum teach them that if staff is not knowledgable that one of the managers should come to the table. our waiter was our conduit for information from the bar."

  • "Party of two. Sitting outdoors on a beautiful night. Had to wait over 15 minutes for initial set of drinks and then almost one hour between appetizers and entree. Seems that restaurant was not ready to set up tables outdoors and, as these were filling up, service got overwhelmed. It would have been a nice touch from management to go beyond 3 sets of apologies to provide a free desert or a glass of wine, due to the long wait. Several tables basically got their food also 1 hour after ordering, ate and left fuming."

  • "The drinks made by the bar at Piatti's were excellent and their selection was unique. The menu selections were outside the usual Italian finds, although the classics were all there. I had the lamb loin, which was superb. The setting at Eilan is beautiful, and I hope Eilan starts to take off, filling in their empty spaces with more retail stores and restaurants. The only drawback to the night was that a mishap took place and the waitress did little to rectify the situation. I would still go again, because the food and atmosphere did not disappoint, but I hope their staff gets better training."

  • "Celebrated a two year anniversary on a Wednesday night. The service and atmosphere were superb along with the calamari, caesar salad, spaghetti, margarita pizza and the chocolate gelato. We will definitely be returning to Piatti as regular customers!"

  • "Sunday brunch and the ambiance were both excellent. We had a great time!"

  • "The waitress was painfully slow, didn't seem to have any sense of urgency for anything. Waited 2.5 hours for our food whenever we asked about our food, we wouldn't see her again for 15 minutes, when a manager did come over (10 minutes after we had gotten our food) he asked how everything was and I told him 1/2 our food after waiting 2 1/2 hours came out cold, he offered to remake the items, but at that point we were tired and ready to go home. I would give this place one more try (minus my 4 kids) only because the food that was hot was excellent, but if we get poor service again, it will be the last time."

  • "This was our second time back since it opened and it was still as popular as the first time. The food was great and the service was much improved. We prefer sitting in the bar area as the restaurant area seems somewhat cold and impersonal. We will be returning quite often for the creative dishes and reasonable cost."

  • "The food was good, but not spectacular. My husband got the sausage rigatoni and I got the seafood cannelloni. Both were tasty, but not better than Maggiano's. We had the carpaccio appetizer, which was good. We had the tiramasu and it was good, but a little too moist (almost runny) on the bottom for our taste. Will we be back? Maybe, but there are so many other choices around San Antonio, it might be a while,"

  • "There were four of us at dinner 1/17/2014, and one of our party received a seafood entree she didn't order. But the waiter never volunteered that the trout she did order was unavailable, so the restaurant was substituting tilapia (not even on the menu) for the trout. When the bill came, and we questioned the waiter, he explained why she had received the tilapia instead of the trout, and apologized. But he never offered to comp her entree. We believe the substitution without the diner's permission was deceptive, and the entree should have been comped."

  • "Our party of six enjoyed every moment of our first visit to the north-side Piatti. The Elan complex is impressive in the evening, the host and wait staff were both friendly and professional, and the food was very good. The cucumber martini started the evening off well. We'll all return to Piatti again soon."

  • "Our reservation was at 7:30 p.m. We were not seated until after an hour because there was no table. The manager was obnoxious. The staff did not know what to do and were just standing there. The food was subpar and very salty. Did not stay for the entree."

  • "Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! I'm so happy that Piatti' s has finally made it to Elian! The food was spot on, the service was excellant!"

  • "We were greeted at the door and seated right away even though we were early for our reservation. We had an amazing appetizer. Pork meatballs in sauce. So good. We had a wedge salad and that too was great. So fresh and crisp! Our entree was fantastic. Rigatoni with sausage, delicious. Perfect Cosmos and we had a fantastic dessert. The manager stopped by our table to thank us for coming in. He was attentive to the whole restaurant. You could tell he really loves his job. We will be back for sure and bring our out of town guests as well. We had a perfect Piatti experience!!!!"

  • "Sophisticated, contemporary setting serving delicious Italian & Tuscan cuisine."
    Dined on 1/13/2014
  • "We enjoyed our food when we finally got it! We were seated promptly before time for our reservation. However, once we ordered we didn't see our food until one hour later which was way too long to wait for dinner after ordering. We were served our cocktails early on and did have bread and salads brought more promptly. We were informed that the restaurant had been open for 74 days. It is the second Piatti's restaurant in San Antonio and probably should improve the delay in service."
