  • "Truly fine dining -- the food was amazing! The wine and mixed drinks were perfect."

  • "In town for the MotoGP. Outstanding service and food. From the shrimp cocktail, salads, Seafood Kabob, Caymus wine, and topped off with banana's foster and a nice 20 year port. Will definitely return on our next trip."

  • "The experience was not as good as previous experiences. This was disappointing as it was my husband's first time. Neither of ours steaks weRe prepared as ordered and they just put them back on the grill causing them to dry out and be tough. At one point a mgr came out and asked and I told him what happened and he did not seem to care. Very disappointing..I told my husband that this place was better than Ruth Chris, our fave steakhouse, I was wrong."

  • "After a very bad experience with the San Antonio Perry's during Valentine's weekend, we tried Perry's in Austin before watching a Concert at Austin City Limits. The experience exceeded expectations. No rush, no worries, and great food. Staff was fantastic! Will retry SA Perry's soon...."

  • "Perry's pork chop lunch special on Fridays never fails to disappoint. We had an extra guest join us last minute and the hostess was able to seat him, which was impressive considering how busy they are during Friday lunch."

  • "We were there for their famous Pork Chop Special at lunch on Friday's. The meal is a bargain and you would be smart to buy one for each person in your party because they will box up any leftovers, and then put the boxes in a special bag, for you to take home and enjoy again later. There are excellent wines at reasonable prices on their very extensive list and the one we chose made our meal even more enjoyable. The staff is well trained and our waiter's gracious service further added to enjoyment of the meal. To top it off, the restaurant is beautifully done. Lastly, even the bread was unusually good. The convenient valet parking is well worth the reasonable cost."

  • "The best steak in texas, great service very friendly."

  • "My husband had quite the extra special birthday at your restaurant. Of course, being his wife may have added to the event. And we were glad for friends highly recommending we try you. We were quite impressed, and William did a superb job of serving us. Your pork chops are wonderful. Now we know where to go for our next celebration."

  • "My best friend and I were scheduled to go out of town but due to the weather I thought it best to postpone the trip. Because this was something she was greatly looking forward to, I thought a trip to Perry's would be a good medicine. As we walked to the restaurant she was surprised and having a reserved table made her beam like the sun. After taking our drink order and answering many questions about apps, the server we had was told to man the bar: which meant he'd need to pass us to someone else. This is where things shifted in a less enjoyable fashion. It has been My experience that the food and atmosphere at Perry's is always exceptional! Overall Perry's did not disappoint, however the servers style & method moved things from 10+ to a 3."

  • "I could not find one problem with any aspect of my dining experience. I made a reservation for one of the busiest times of the day, had a last minute add to my list and they were able to adjust accordingly. The hostess was very polite and quick on her toes; the two waiters that served us were friendly, knowledgeable, and super-fast. The food was well above my expectations and reasonably priced. Pork chops are for some reason tough for most people to cook; too dry, too “porky”, too bland, or undercooked. Our chops were perfect; very tender, juicy, flavorful, and cut into three very distinct experiences. That lunch made my Friday. Thank you!"

  • "I work with law students at UT and at least once a semester we take a "field trip" to Perry's for their Pork Chop Friday special. It's a great time to bond with the students and get a great meal (and leftovers of course). Thanks for keeping this tradition going Perry's! We will be back!"

  • "food was just ok. the service was BAD. Our waiter would ask if we needed anything and then would wait 20 minutes before taking care of our request. he had to many tables that night."

  • "I have a standing reservation for every other Friday to get a famous Perry's pork chop. Once you have had one of these you will never want another from somewhere else, the portions are great and price is super inexpensive for what you get. It is definitely a treat that everyone should indulge in."

  • "Over the years, we've seen many of our favorite restaurants pass away, leaving us without a good place for special occasion dinners. After a few trips to Perry's we've found one. Fabulous food and great service, and the bartender makes a mean martini. By the way, the bar is a great place to get a light meal before heading to a show at the Paramount or any other downtown event. The lobster bisque and caesar salad is wonderful, and will leave you room for desert."

  • "We've always come here for the Friday lunch special and the waitstaff is never anything but gracious. They always bust their butts and give the best service! The food is always excellent, so there's never any compromises anywhere even during a lunch special."

  • "Of course the Perry's Pork Chop is the biggest hit on the menu. Great size for dinner, and then lunch the next day! The side dishes are easily shared, and pay attention to the specials - everything is prepared perfectly. Service was impeccable - if possible request a table served by Alex."

  • "They should really just serve pork chops here because this place has the most amazing pork chop of all time. Although, they should rename it Porkchopzilla and if you finish it you should get a free tee shirt or something."
    Dined on 3/25/2014
  • "Iceberg wedge salad and asparagus are great with Friday lunch pork chop special. Although mashed potatoes are served with lunch special, the potatoes au gratin are very good, too if you want to spend a little extra. The only thing that I don't like about Perry's is that they play loud, noisy music which is distracting when you're trying to have a gourmet dining experience."

  • "I love Perry's. The food is amazing and the service is first class. This visit was a birthday celebration, but every time I have been there I have the same experience. Pricey, but so worth it."

  • "Perry's is an unrivaled experience and easily the best dining option if you are in downtown Austin. Their Friday porkchop special is the lunch of legends. You cannot find a better lunch that involves the high-caliber edibles for the low price that is offered. There is a reason that by 1PM the porkchops are sold out every Friday. There is a reason you must make reservations (using OpenTable) days in advance if you want to get a front-row seat to the dining experience of a lifetime."

  • "Looks like the pork chops are getting a little smaller, but still no way you finish one. Had a good meeting there, although the noise was a bit much. Still my favorite place for lunch!"

  • "My wife and my kids and their families have all enjoyed our trips to Perry's. The food has never disappointed...always excellent. The resturant is beautiful and the staff are very professional. Great place to eat in the heart of Austin."

  • "Friday for lunch and I didn't have the pork chop, but my guest did. I've dined at Perry's many times and have had that delicious pork chop at least 4 times so I chose order the filet. It was prepared exactly the way I requested (medium rare). The vegetables were perfectly seasoned and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. As an added treat, we enjoyed bananas foster prepared table-side and left beyond satisfied. I did get a taste of that pork chop and it was amazing (as expected)!"

  • "My SO and I have been to Perry's twice now. We went to the Downtown Dallas location this past Valentine's Day and were disappointed in their service. This location was better, but we still had some hiccups. We had the lunch salmon and the lunch cut porkchop. Both were amazing. My SO, who doesn't typically bother to describe food in any other words besides good, yum, or mmm, said the salmon was buttery. The pork chop--possibly the best value on the menu--was huge. It was juicy, tender and well-seasoned. It paired well with Perry's cinnamon apple sauce, which was good enough to eat by itself. We will definitely come back. Hopefully the third time will be the best time."

  • "We went here for Valentines Day and had a wonderful exp. so we brought the kids (7 & 11)back and had a great time. They have a kids menu, just have to ask. Service was fantastic! The filet mignon was Delish, husband got the pork chops, they were a bit on the fatty side, but overall it is a wonderful place to have a nice dinner. It is pricey, our tab was 300, but totally worth it :)"

  • "Service was nice but slow; our waiter had too many tables and hanging for long periods of time between courses. My steak finally came out - perfectly cooked - my wife's steak was almost raw (it was ordered medium) - they took it back and while it really only needed another minute on the grill, it was at least 10-12 minutes before it came back. My steak was almost eaten, the family style vegetable dishes were now cold and her steak came out well done. They cooked her another steak and did it perfectly BUT I was completely finished my meal and all the vegetable dishes were now cold. We may give them another try only because it is a beautiful restaurant and we have been many times to perry's in other cities and always had a good experience"

  • "Went to Perry's for our anniversary and we had a great night. Rose petals were on our table as our server was fantastic. The table was a little close to a 5 top next to us, and we were kind of far apart but other than that no complaints. Food was amazing. Best calamari we had ever had. I had the ahi tuna - awesome- boyfriend had the pork chop and he was beyond happy with his choice. Desserts were great as well. Great night"

  • "We have dined at Perry's in Dallas, San Antonio and Houston on many occasions. This was our first experience at the Austin location. We will not return to this location. It evidently is "the place to be" in Austin because the restaurant was packed. Too noisy for a decent conversation. The food was good however, the service was terrible probably due to the crowds and maybe not enough servers. We had little attention at our table. Waiter had several tables and was also having to serve all the drink orders. It took so long to get dessert menus that we by-passed dessert. We were celebrating a marriage and our party was small only 5 since we had good experience with other Perry's we felt this would be a nice place to celebrate. We were wrong."

  • "We were in Austin and made a reservation at Perry's to try the Friday Pork Chop special. They brought out the hugest pork chop I have ever seen! Our waitress cut it for us into three portions- the eyelash, the loin, and the rib. It was so tender, like cutting through butter. Hands down, the best pork chop I have ever eaten, and did I mention it was only $11.95? It is worth the price of a plane ticket just to eat that pork chop again."

  • "Our business lunch was delicious and the waitstaff is second to none. There was however, one problem. As is the case all over downtown Austin these days, finding parking is a pain. Thus, the valet is so full, it almost feels dangerous to be near the curb. The wait time for car pickup from the valet was the only problem we had at my lunch at Perry's. We had 2 cars and it took 25 minutes for us to get either car."
