Food was superb. The pastery chef - her last name is Cronin - is up for West Coast Pastry Chef of the Year. We voted for her on our iphones before we left the restaurant. The fact that she was up for that award came up only quite naturally when we were seeking help from the waiter on what to order for desert.

I hosted a small business lunch and could not have been happier with the quality and overall experience. There are smiles of greeting right from the outset, with helpful and friendly hosts and hostesses. The waitstaff knows the menu selections and can describe them in whatever detail the diner needs. Our waitperson knew the wine list as well, although in the past, when there was any doubt, the wine steward would assist. All of the entrees and appetizers we ordered were excellent. We began with the fritto misto and a selection of salamis plate ... the fried olives, cheeses, breadsticks, and meats were perfect for sharing. Two of us split the tajarin, a very savory pork sauce and pasta dish, while another friend had the pear salad, which earned another rave. The steamed halibut entree, seafood stew and another pasta dish were all pronounced excellent, and everyone at our table was pleased with their selections. I'm French and have a residence in Antibes, on the French Riviera, one hour from Italy. Your restaurant can stand up to any "great" Italian restaurants.
Should I add that it's always a great pleasure to be greeted by the owner, when ever he is there, a true gentleman.

I wouldn't suggest it for a first date or a first business lunch or anything where it would be preferable to have peace and quiet. The design of the place...brick? high ceiling? while lovely to look at must be the cause of noise in part because it was only half full, and the others did not appear to be celebrants or particularly loud as individuals. Nonetheless it was not relaxing, noise wise or conducive to quiet conversation. for our purposes...a rather rushed last minute good buy lunch with a familiar collegue, it was fine.
