  • "Good food and wonderful place to enjoy the sights of San Diego."

  • "The food was delicious and the view was beautiful, especially after dark when the lights of the city come on. I had the scallops. They were golden on the outside and so tender in the middle - perfect."

  • "Would like to thank the staff of Peohe's for a outstanding evening. Reservation was for 6:00 P.M. and was able to change to an earlier reservation. Food and service was outstanding. I will definitely return to try different dishes. Service was well timed and friendly."

  • "I treated my pop here for his birthday for dinner, and it was fantastic! The service was quick, knowledgable, and friendly. Additionaly, the food was exquisite and delicious--I will no longer go any place else for coconut shrimp! This is most definitely a five star restauraunt!"

  • "We had our first date at Peohe's. They gave us a very nice table with a very nice view of the Skyline. Very lovely! I woudn't mind the short wait, it was all worth it. Service is very good, crew are friendly, and food is awesome. Will definitely dine again :)"

  • "Arrived on a beautiful evening, got seated at a indoor table with a gorgeous view of the sea and San Diego, thought we were in for a treat, quickly retreated to putting cardigans on and almost asked for a blanket half way through meal, air conditioning way too low! Food mediocre - appetizers were good, as was dessert but mains quite disappointing. Even though we had made a reservation for 7:30pm, the item my daughter ordered had run out already, quite an expensive evening too at the bill over $200 for four of us with only one glass of wine, two desserts and two appetizers shared..."

  • "We had 9 people. Food was good. My choice was very good. Views are great if you are near windows. A bit noisy. Beautiful location. Only complaint was server. Guessing she was over worked, rushing and didn't have the time to help us. We Asked to lower air blowing directly on us and was given a snarky Response. She also grabbed 2 plates while people were still eating and brought out food at different times. Aside from that, the place was nice. Not sure if we will return."

  • "We were fortunate to get to Peohes early enough to get a table with a harbor view. We ordered calamari and onion rings (they are the best ever) for our appetizers. We decided to share a salad and ordered entrees--a seafood platter for me and crab stuffed tilapia for my spouse. The waiter advised (right after ordering our entrees) of their special chocolate lava cake with ice cream and asked if we wanted to order it, as it took about 20 minutes to prepare it. We did order it and it was delicious. The waiter brought over warm bread rolls with butter a few minutes prior to getting our appetizers. The service were great. It was a deliciousl dinner made extra special by the great view."

  • "Wonderful view of the city, sitting out on the covered deck was perfect - they really took care of us & made sure we had a great seat for our anniversary dinner. Definitely recommend taking the ferry across from the 5th ave/Broadway pier - less than $5 each way per person...sunset trip over, city coming alive at night on the way back."

  • "I had brought a friend from Georgia who had never seen the water/bay/ocean. Thought this would be a great spot for her to get a first hand look at what San Diego is all about. We arrived early for our reservation, of coarse asking for a window view so I could wow her. Got the same line everyone else got,"I can't guarantee it, and it might take awhile." We were ok with this. Seated about 45min later. I'm not sure I'd call it a window seat as we were seated RIGHT next to the outside door where there was a wall and a TINY view. It was just ok until wait staff kept coming through the door and it was extremely windy; every time they opened the door, slammed with wind. Prime rib was extremely fatty, more than usual. Over-priced food. :("

  • "Peohe's has the most amazing view of downtown San Diego. The waterfront dining, food, service and overall ambiance makes for a great evening or brunch. Family friendly as well."

  • "Birthday lunch was wonderful as was our server, Morgan. Only issue was an adjacent table of people being pitched hearing aids. by no less than three 'presenters', who were talking in voices loud enough to be heard across the bay to their hard of hearing prospects. LOL!"

  • "This is absolutely the most beautiful restaurnt in the Landry's chain! The unobstructed and expansive view across San Diego Bay is magnificent, especially at sunset and evening hours. The food and service are spectacular. Freshest fish and seafood items are magnificent. This is definitely our favorite restaurant in the San Diego area and we will return on our next visit."

  • "Went to Peohe's for 65 birthday dinner. We had to wait to be seated, even with our reservations, with many groups seated before us who were walk-ins. However it is possible they were waiting for a window table to open up per our reservation request. Table was small for 4 people but view was fantastic. Service and waiter were perfect. Most of the food was great. The Lobster Ravioli with shrimp and scallops was fantastic- highly recommended. The Coconut shrimp and Shrimp Trio were also very nice. The Prime Rib was lacking in flavor. Overall a great night out."

  • "We have been dining here since the restaurant opened many years ago. The food was exceptionally good as always. However, I believe our waiter was assigned too many tables. He never slowed down as he briskly moved about the dining room and worked hard to wait on his guests. However, because of his workload, the service time suffered. We had to wait a long time between courses that we ordered. Then had to wait for our bill. This has not been a problem in the past. Despite these shortcomings, we will return as the food is always great. The Gazpacho soup and surf and turf sushi were both outstanding!!!!"

  • "Had not been here for many years. My recollection was that the ambiance was pretty and sophisticated but now is Disney-ish fake grotto, 70's decor! Despite the decor, the food was excellent! We had some of the best sea bass and salmon we've had anywhere in SD and we eat out a lot. Crab stack salad was okay, but waitress just left it stacked without a serving spoon after telling us it was a good appetizer to share. We called her back to ask if she was going to mix it and she said no. Kind of awkward to share with 4 people. Beautiful spot, wonderful views. They need to update interiors or just lose the loud green and black carpeting!"

  • "Our experience at Peohe's was disappointing given their price point. First, the positive aspects: Our server, Kyle, was very polite and provided excellent service. We sat outside and it has excellent scenic views of San Diego The cons: At Peooe's price point, I expected more ($28-$40 main dishes, with most fish plates being around $40): We ordered a halibut dish, a shrimp with rice dish, and a bottle of wine. Both dishes came out only warm and we debated sending it back. The shrimp dish was also way overcooked (you could tell just by looking at it). The halibut dish was good, but not excellent and not worth $40 in our opinion. Our waiter comped us a creme brulee dessert as an apology for the food not being satisfactory."

  • "Great location overlooking San Diego bay and downtown skyline. Even better, the food matches the view with fresh seafood along with a separate sushi menu that offers creative fare. Peohe's is my new favorite restaurant when in Coronado (I've dined there 3 times within the last two weeks), however, if you're in a hurry, go to McDonald's as the service is a little on the slow side."

  • "Food was excellent. Service was great. The décor is really good. We had a seat overlooking the bay. Definitely will return on my next trip to Coronado."

  • "My husband and I ate at Peohe's during the July 4th weekend, so they were probably busier than usual. We were sat 15 minutes after our reservation. Our server brought warm bread, but took at least 10 minutes to bring the butter). We watched our food sit on the counter for at least 10 minutes under a heating lamp before it was brought to us. Although my coconut crusted prawns were lukewarm, the flavor of the shrimp and dipping sauce were good. My husband also enjoyed his king crab legs. The service took so long that we decided against ordering dessert."

  • "My husband and I were celebrating out anniversary with my brother and sister--in-law from out of town and could not have picked a better spot! The restaurant is on the water and the food was great! We all enjoyed everything about the evening--starting with cocktails outside on the patio to dessert watching the fireworks from the Pops concert. A beautiful evening!"

  • "The food and service where great and the view was just perfect. I would reccomend this restaurant to anyone. We where celebrating our one year anniversary and they even printed a message on our menus. That was just unexpected. Would definately dine here again"

  • "Don't go! We waited an hour to get our food but never got our food as the waiter dropped it all on the floor. Never said I'm sorry what else can I get you just brought us a check for the drinks and appetizers we had ordered. We asked for a manager and she wasn't much better. Will not be going back there. Even with a reservation we had to wait 30 min to be seated and there were many empty tables. This place left a bad taste in our mouth. There are to many places to eat out to put up with this type of service. It's to bad for them as the menu looks good. After tallying others on Coronado they all said the same thing not the place to go service is the worst!"

  • "G free & accommodating. Bring your own wine. Also brought my own g free soy sauce as they do not have that option. Always get fish and always know that I am going to have a great time at Peohes"

  • "A 4th of July treasure! Took the ferry from San Diego, sat right on the waters edge. We enjoyed a gourmet meal and wonderful wine while ogling the Big Bay Boom, the barge was just beyond the restaurant. It was a fairy tale evening of freshness for all our senses."

  • "Pros: Beautiful view of the fireworks, harbor, and downtown skyline. Cons: Went on July 4th for dinner and fireworks. Made reservations two weeks prior to date and confirmed day before as well. Specifically asked if there was going to be parking at the restaurant (as the location makes it a very popular place to watch the fireworks). Staff assured me both times that parking would be available. Arrive at the restaurant at the designated time only to find that there was no parking available reserved for the restaurant patrons. After asking the staff what we should do, we ended up having to park at the Grand Del Mar and take a cab over (cost total $60). I can't believe that the restaurant was totally caught off guard with this issue."

  • "We celebrated my birthday on July 4 on the patio. Best birthday ever! Craig was delightful, the Chilean sea bass was amazing, and the fireworks were the icing on my lava cake. This is one of my favorite places in San Diego."
