  • "Nothing special, nothing of note to really point out. A decent Italian restaurant with above-average service. Lots of lunch competition in the east Loop area so may or may not return."

  • "The food at this retaurant was amazing and definitely tickled my tastebuds! Also had a great selection of wines. I dined with a group of 6. There was a wide variety of entrees to choose from, including the specials of the day. We all had something different and each dish was equally amazing. Our server was also very attentive and accommodating. I highly recommend this retaurant."

  • "Wonderful!!! Very inexpensive food and large portions......you can definitely share. We had a party of 7 and the service was accomidating and great. Hostess was outstanding and even ran to the corner to flag a cab for us."

  • "We went here before the symphony. Service was quite good, but food was ordinary. We had the eggplant appetizer without the breading, but they left the skin on which is inedible. Once we cut it off it was pretty good. My companion's chicken was bland. I had the steak sliders which I liked, but I ate without the bread. Oil oil on the table dud not taste right."

  • "Took friends here for a celebration--your staff was outstanding from the manager to the waitress and the bussers. Food was excellent and served quickly. We were made to feel very welcome. Will definitely return. Would love to see more vegetarian offerings, too!"

  • "The chicken parmesan I had was excellent and the calamari we had for appetizers was delicious. However our waitress was a little slow, and forgot our appetizers, she brought our entree before the appetizers. Other than that we had a great time!"

  • "Delicious salad and pasta entrée. Good wine. Excellent service. Asked for a quiet booth so we could talk and that is just what they provided. Staff very good about checking on us or needs but left us alone for our conversations."

  • "I recently went for my graduation dinner and reserved my table on open table. The ceremony was shorter than expected so we were able to go in earlier. We called to let them know that we wanted to come in an hour earlier and they said it was ok. When we arrived 30 min later, the table was not set up so we waited a few min. The service was great but not outstanding. The food was pretty good but not the best Italian or most distinguishable I've had. However, overall I did enjoy the experience. I would give them another shot if in the area again."

  • "Came here for dinner with friends before going to see Rock of Ages at the Bank of America Theater. Food was good, prices were reasonable, and ambiance was nice (not too crowded, went on a Sunday). Overall, an enjoyable dinner experience. We would definitely go back."

  • "Close to Symphony Hall for a quick dinner. Food OK - high noise level - more of a bar atmosphere."

  • "Overall I'd say the food was good, but nothing I couldn't easily make at home. Price for the quality and location was definitely good, but I'd honestly rather spend a little more for something better."

  • "I took my husband here for his birthday dinner and we were both very pleased. I had made a reservation requesting a booth and we were immediately seated in a booth. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, even discussing their special baker who makes the tiramisu, which was delicious. Overall, the food was very good, service excellent and the ambiance was very nice."

  • "Food quality was improved over last visit. Restaurant's location and cost of meal a big plus in this area--a good value for theater goers.."

  • "This is certainly a neighborhood gem. I've been to other locations. Until I did a search I did not realize this one is so conveniently located. The food was great. There is a nice array of tasty options. The servers were very attentive.. The decor was lively & fun. My friend was delighted with Pazzo's and very much enjoyed the evening. I will definitely return."

  • "We wanted to eat before our 8:00 pm show and were lucky enough to find Pazzo's. It was around 6:30pm, we arrived and noticed how empty the restauranit was, we were seated promptly. Our waitress was friendly and service was fast (we did not order any appetizers due to our time restriction). The food portions are plentiful and good. The house Merlot was very good, however, we didn't care for the wine glasses...they resembled a small round OJ glass."

  • "Came here the first time for 3 at 630 on Friday, it was not too crowded. Fresh new decor, big open space. Service was decent and correction of double charging for wine was corrected after we discovered the bill looked too high. Good for a pre-concert meal."

  • "Good location with delicious affordable food. Perfect sized proportions for a hungry dinner. Actually some really good beers on tap too. Had the Rainbow Trout that came with a really good hot salsa."

  • "We had a good meal and good service on a Sunday evening. There usually isn't much open in the loop on Sundays and this was a nice restaurant. We went here after a matinee play and walking around Millenium Park/the Bean. My kids had spaghetti, my husband had lasagna and I had the lemon Chicken. Very tasty!"

  • "This was our second time at this restaurant. It was just as good as the first time. The food is very fresh and tasty and the service is friendly and efficient. Perfect spot for an early dinner before a show at the Auditorium or CSO."

  • "Before the Chicago concert at the CSO last week, we accidentally found this great restaurant just around the corner from the venue. What a great surprise! It was late afternoon (4pm) so it was pretty much just us and one other table when we started our leisurely meal, but by the time we left 3 hours later the place was getting pretty packed. We were delighted with everything we tasted, from the salad to the calmari to the pasta, to the entrees and down to the desserts. Every dish was fresh and tasty. And good wine to select from, both by the glass and bottle. The service was both attentive and friendly. We'll certainly be going back here, especially when attending venues near South Michigan Ave."

  • "The food was delightful & delicious, but the noise was outrageous from the bar. Our waitress did not divide our bill, even after we requested it. We would still return for the eats."

  • "Food was reasonably priced. No one was in the restaurant at 8:30 on a Friday. Chicken was air line quality. Pasta dishes were just ok. Very disappointing based on other reviews."

  • "Although its nice not to wait at a restaurant ,I like a little vibe. The bar was empty the whole time there Sat night at 7 pm , maybe this is a day spot even tho a busy night Nov 23 in Chicago.. However, food was tasty , delivered in good time , service excellent with a lovely friendly waitress. Price point great for Chicago.. Not your spot if you are looking for ambiance, should have lowered the lights, turned the tv off and piped in some music for a better experience. I felt a little bit of a glamorized diner in that respect. 14 dollars for a cosmo seemed high for the spot. so if you'/e looking for a basic Italian , flavorful , reasonable without the frills this is your spot. I wouldn't recommend for a romantic dinner for two"

  • "I am on a gluten-free diet. The restaurant serves gluten-free pasta. But when my entree arrived, the pasta wasn't cooked enough. I sent it back. It took 10-15 minutes to redo the pasta, but this time the sauce wasn't right. I had ordered marinara sauce with meat; this time there was no meat. The waiter brought me a soup cup with meat sauce in it and didn't charge me for the pasta, but it was not a relaxed, pleasant meal."

  • "Most reviews state that this is a great place for a quick meal prior to a show. While that may be true, we were not headed to a show. We were simply looking for dinner. Service was good and the atmosphere was fine, but the food seemed a little lacking. It is your standard simply prepared pseudo-Italian fare. Nothing special, nothing creative. It will do in a pinch if you are looking for a pre-theatre quick meal, but if you are looking for great food then keep looking."

  • "Made reservations for Sat night. Seated on time, but waited 20 min for the waitress to take the order. Took another 40 min to get our food, jeopardizing our theater time - the appetizer came out at the same time as the entrees. Had to send one of the entree back because it was so boring and eat the appetizer as the entree. Their repeated excuse to us and the couple next to us - "it's very busy". Really?! It's a Sat night - what did you expect?! It's so lame when restaurants use this excuse - staff up accordingly! Granted, the hostess/manager, while short at first, did apologize and comped the entrees, that's not what we want - we are not there to eat for free and eat into their revenue - we just want service on par with their pretentions"

  • "This is a great location for a pre-symphony dinner, with good pasta and very good seafood. Seared tuna is a menu highlight, and the whitefish special on Saturday night was well composed, tasty, and nutritious."

  • "We were going to Auditorium Theater for an 8pm show. Made reservations for 6pm. Restaurant was already bustling. Asked for a quiet table...were told they were reserved for others. Suppose everyone else in the restaurant was going to the theater as well. Server was polite but rushed us...food came very quickly. Zip zip zip. Would have preferred to have a less hurried dinner."

  • "Service was horrendous. We were given half a bread basket, had to ask for more and begged for our water glasses to be refilled all night long. Our server gave us limited attention and made no attempt to engage with us on any kind of personal level. We waited 45 minutes for our dessert and tried to ask for the bill so we could leave but we were not able to get anyone's attention. When the dessert came it was so hot it burned the roofs or our mouths. We were overcharged for the dessert and when we brought it to our server's attention she stated that the menus has not been updated to reflect the new prices. We put our foot down and asked that an adjustment be made. There was no apology made nor compensation offered. Do not go to Pazzo's!"

  • "Coming here before a show on a Saturday night, the restaurant just did not seemed prepared for a busy evening. Waiting for our table at the bar we could not even get eye contact with the bartender to try to get a drink - she was too busy filling orders from servers. Once seated our waiter took our order and we only saw him twice the rest of the evening. He had too many other tables to handle. Bar area was very loud and runs parallel to entire dining area so nowhere to get a quieter spot. Food was good but overall experience was only fair due to noise level and service that was unprepared."

  • "I generally like this restaurant, usually order the risotto, but went for the chicken scaloppini instead. The chicken was unpleasant, best I can describe it is 'ribbery'. I will go there again because the room is pleasant, food is usually good, and it's reasonably priced. I will not be ordering the chicken again."
