Paul Martin's American Grill - Roseville
First VisitVery upbeat atmosphere with good food at a reasonable price.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers Day at Paul MartinsWe were back at Paul Martin's for Mothers Day again this year. The food was yummy with standouts being the Grilled Artichoke appetizer with pesto sauce and the flavorful Shrimp Salad. I tried the Bay Shrimp Omelet on a whim and although it was good, it lacked the Hollandaise Sauce flavor I was expecting. If ordering this omelet, I would recommend getting Hollandaise sauce on the side. It's hard to go wrong with Paul Martin's, so make your reservations without reservation. :)5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing polentaService was outstanding. Food was great. Polenta was amazing. Only drawback was 10 year old boy seated right next to us who kept putting his feet on the chairs and at one point sat upside down with his bottom pointed right at us. Mother seated next to him didn't care one bit. If it wasn't Mother's Day, I would have asked to move. Very distracting.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMPaul Martin's is our favoritePaul Martin's is our favorite everyday restaurant in Roseville/Granite Bay. They have the Best G&T's with a full 2oz pour. We like to order several sides and one entree which we share. They automatically split the entree and it is always a generous split. Our 2 yr. old is comfortable here and likes the Mac N cheese.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic food. Actually ateFantastic food. Actually ate the burger and it was one of the best that I have ever had. Yummy! The Aoli sauce was delicious.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent dinner with a groupExcellent dinner with a group of 6 - highly recommend their Chicken Under a Brick. Nice atmosphere but a bit noisy on a Saturday night - made it a bit hard to hear everyone as we had a LARGE booth! We will be back.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant was a lastThis restaurant was a last minute find online... A++++++++++4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMYou won't be disappointedExcellent food (had pepper shrimp and shrimp cocktail, walnut blue cheese salads at our table), nice ambiance, and great service. Nice variety of menu options and a lively but not rowdy atmosphere. Can't wait to go back and explore my way through the entire menu.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife & I both love thisMy wife & I both love this restaurant. There was a slight delay in getting our table, but my request for a booth was honored.
Our server greeted us promptly. He knew the wine selection thoroughly, brought us samples quickly, and was happy to discuss the finer points of each.
I started with the roasted butternut squash soup. It was really delicious, exactly as I'd make at home.
I had the New York strip for my entree. The temperature was perfect, though the steak was underseasoned. That isn't usually an issue, and it will not keep me from coming back. The New York comes with a side of wilted spinach; that'd be better with smaller greens.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was amazing. I love howFood was amazing. I love how everything is fresh. We were from out of town and have never eaten at Paul Martin's before.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was perfect andEverything was perfect and definitely a bar scene crowd for the young and beautiful.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe night was great. My wifeThe night was great. My wife and I took a friend for her birthday who had never been there before. We started off with some cocktails, had a couple appetizers (street tacos & chicken and wings, both really good. The sauce that came with the chicken wings was really good). Dinner was also VERY good (Brick chicken, bleu cheese New York strip, blackened rib eye, and Hanger steak all excellent and good sized portions. The service was excellent. A birthday dessert followed up by a couple more cocktails on the patio. All in all very good We will be backed. Not cheap, but not over priced either.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMPrime rib special was preparedPrime rib special was prepared perfectly and service was great!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWent for Easter brunch. This time we came for Easter Brunch and were again impressed with both the food and service! We actually shared the French Toast and Applewood Bacon Omelet because both items are very generous portions, have beautiful presentation and tasted wonderful! Our server was great too, checking on us at just the right times and treating us as though we were his only customers!
No doubt, we'll be back to this special restaurant soon!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe cajun fish was too strongThe cajun fish was too strong when we ordered light seasoning.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Paul Martin's, it isLove Paul Martin's, it is tough to have conversations even during the week, but the food and the service are with a little extra noise. They make special occasions, SPECIAL!!!3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding Dinner SpecialWe visited on a Monday and right now they have a wonderful special. For $49 you receive a bottle of wine, two soups or salad, and any two entrees from the dinner menu. Prior to the discount our bill was $120 so it was quite a savings.
The food was very tasty and the service impeccable. Our server did an outstanding job, she even let us sample the wine before we selected a bottle from the special menu.
We also splurged and ordered dessert. I have to rave about their inhouse made ice cream. We had the pistachio, it was velvety with the perfect balance of sweet and salty (salty was the crushed pistachio nuts).
We are looking forward to going again...SOON!3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWhen a great restaurant ownerWhen a great restaurant owner knows his business we all get to the enjoy the fruits of his labor and knowledge.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food! The prime ribGreat food! The prime rib was excellant. I would rate it tops. Cooked to perfection.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMI was a little nervous goingI was a little nervous going here, because I heard it was pricey and the food was hit or miss. We loved everything about our experience here. The food was amazing and the service, impeccable. It is a little more expensive, but we were out for a birthday, so it was expected.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMA regular on our listWe're regulars, and for good reason! Food is excellent quality, tastes amazing and is fairly priced. This is an upscale bistro, you'll find a lot of yuppies here who don't cook and like to drink, but I come for the food! Dressy or casual, yoou'll fit in. Service is excellent (only had one or two bad servers, dozens of excellent ones!). They also offer gluten free and are willing to accommodate allergies and requests!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, service, andExcellent food, service, and ambiance.
