Diner Reviews
  • "Patrick's is the only quality resteraunt in a sea of chains and fast food joints. Every ting about it was fitst class."

  • "We had the sea bass and mussels, both were excellent along with the fries and the wine. We had reservations for seven pm and were seated right away. The service was great. We will return again."

  • "The food was excellent, but unfortunately our waitress was very rude. We did inform management, who apologized. I will not dine in the restaurant again based on this experience- there are many other options in the area which also have good food, but provide excellent service as well. They do however offer take-out and have delicious sandwiches and pastries so would be especially nice on a beautiful day to take a picnic to a park - much better option than being served by a rude waitress. In addition, the menu lists many seasonal items which were not available during our visit, the menu should reflect current offerings."

  • "We met my cousin and his wife here at their recommendation. We were seated directly across from the desserts, and given my insatiable sweet tooth, I was distracted all evening until I actually had the lemon meringue tart - to die for...;) Appetizer was AMAZING - Gruyere cheese, onions, flatbread. Craving it now. Beef brisket salad was also an outstanding entree. Server was very good, but forgot our waters mid-meal, which we were all needing!!! We will be back, time and time again despite the drive from a southern suburb."

  • "When you are craving really good food and drink, Patrick's is the place. They are attentive to reservations and in serving. The wine selection and menu selections are varied and great. A big plus is the case full of all kinds of goodies to take home."

  • "This was our second trip in to Patrick's for dinner. The first trip both my wife and I had outstanding meals. The Mussels Meuniere and the Merguez Burger were outstanding. On our second trip however, the Mussels were sold out (understandable, this was a Sunday night, the Mussels are a Fri-Sun special and are really good). We opted for the Scallops and Shrimp and the Grilled Salmon. Unfortunately the Salmon was so overdone it was dry and the problem with the Scallops and Shrimp, were the proportions. There were three of each surrounding about a half pound of sweet potato puree (way too much). Their bakery and other dishes are quite good, so we are hoping this was an aberration."

  • "We love love love this restaurant --- We are so happy to have them out in Maple Grove and we hope they will be here for a very long time -- the Food is fantastic.... I wish there was a bigger breakfast pastry selection... Quiche is outstanding - we always buy some to take home for the next day... Salads are fantastic... and you cannot go there without having the baked Brie! It is the best ever...."

  • "I didn't think I would really like this place because it is advertised as a french restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Beef Bourguignon which was served over fettuccini. I thought that was kind of an odd combination, but it worked. Although, I have to say the pasta was a bit overcooked and was not made fresh. Everyone seemed pleased with their food and choices. They also have a bakery from which you can choose your dessert. Delicious!, and just the right size for sharing with another person. They have a lot of variety on the menu from inexpensive sandwiches and burgers to more extravagantly priced steaks and seafood. Something for everyone."

  • "So happy to have Patrick's in the Maple Grove area. Three people in my party enjoyed a dinner of Steak Salad, Beef Bourguignon, and Duck a l’orange. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. We finished the evening with a Passion Cake."

  • "We visited Patrick's for the first time Saturday evening. The place was very busy, high energy, but we were seated at a nice table behind the host stand. Our food was very good, the service was a little slow because they were busy. I would have liked a larger selection of wines by the glass. But decided on a beer instead. The dessert was one of the best I've had in years. We had the chocolate mousse on top of coconut sponge cake enrobed with Chocolate ganache. Prices are fair. Definitely will be back soon!"

  • "It was my two girlfriends' and my first time at Patrick's. We were all very pleased with the service, food, and overall experience. Our server was extremely pleasant and was very attentive to our table/needs. The food was excellent and we were all surprised at how moderately priced the selections were. We arrived at 4:45pm so were given the 'lunch menu' (dinner menu comes out at 5pm), but that was quite alright with us. The portions (and prices) were great for an evening meal. I would definitely recommend Patrick's to anyone who has never been there. As our title states, all three of us were "very pleased"."

  • "I have been to Patrick's in Edina many times so I was happy to hear there was one in MG close to home. At first I though it was because it was new but after a couple months and a few tries it's fair to say it isn't very good. The manager here needs to get his act together. Every time there has been one issue or another. Slow service. Train your staff, figure out how to use that espresso machine and stop running out of things all the time. Staff seems confused and quite frankly we were too."

  • "I like that they take reservations, however we had poor service, and I thought the dinner menu was very limited. My server never brought my wine, when I later asked a Manager for it, he did get it, but she never apologized. Got our ticket and paid the bill- all with the dirty dishes still sitting on the table. Won't rush back."

  • "I love the food and the service at Patrick's. We have been there several times and always great. So glad they landed in Maple Grove. We need other choices for breakfast and brunch in Maple Grove that take reservations and are not a 2 hour wait."

  • "My wife and I ate here on Friday evening. It was busy and has a pleasant vibe. The soup, salad and steak frites were good. Crab cakes were mushy and flavorless. The menu has french sounding entrees. But, all of the sandwiches are burgers. More disappointing, the baked goods and desserts, while attractive, were just mediocre. This restaurant will be disappointing to foodies."

  • "We have tried breakfast and dinner and both meals were less than average. Breakfast--eggs Benedict were without flavor (I mean really without flavor) as were the other breakfasts my party ordered. Dinner of the Beef Bourguignon was clearly heated in a microwave or bag. Some parts were boiling hot and others completely cool, and the pasta bed it came on was bland. Such a charming place inside and the desserts are really wonderful and flavorful. We will stop by for those (or pastries), but have given up on dining there, unfortunately."

  • "We were regulars at Patrick's when it was in Wayzata and we were sorry to see it go! So happy that it's back and close by in Maple Grove! The food is just as wonderful as before and the wine list has expanded. The sea bass and the halibut were delicious and the mussels and cream of mushroom soup delightful. We will return often!"

  • "What a pleasant surprise. Great menu! Food was great. BEST FRENCH ONION SOUP EVER!"

  • "Fun little find. We enjoyed a tarte flambee and the best mushroom soup I've ever had! The "pizza" was not as thin-crusted as we've had in the Alsace, but it was very authentic tasting, if a little greasy. The soup was outstanding. It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday evening - we dined at 8:15 PM, but the noise level was low and the atmosphere seemed very private. We'll be back! There are so many interesting menu offerings."

  • "Met a friend for lunch - food was very good but would love to try some of the take out next time I am in the neighborhood. Wasn't expecting such a big selection of upscale deli choices! Great service and our little guy that was along was treated just great. Will plan to return."

  • "The food was cold, the booth was dirty. Took my husband her for his first time. He was not impressed. Their desserts are good and so is the French bread."

  • "We were there for Valentine's Day - food was very good. The sea bass was excellent. Shared a couple of deserts and they were wonderful. So glad you are on this end of the city - have been at your Edina location, but Maple Grove is much closer - will definitely get to enjoy your restaurant more often."

  • "Patrick's is a happy find! Three of us dined there and were pleasantly surprised by the food and pricing. Although, having just opened, the food is quite good; the bread is to die for, the tarte rich and crispy, the rack of lamb beautifully prepared and sauced and the dessert selection......well, it IS Patrick's, after all. Our server was obviously new and inexperienced, but none of us have ever seen anybody try so hard to please. She had no problem telling us if she didn't have an answer to a question and promptly returned to the table with the answer. In addition, the restaurant is kid-friendly; a bonus for those of us with grandchildren who enjoy good food. All and all, we had a lovely time and will return."

  • "My husband and I visited Patrick's last weekend to celebrate our anniversary. This was the first time we had been to Patrick's and it didn't disappoint. The food was so delicious and the pastries and desserts were beautiful in the case. We were too full so had tom take some home but the truffles and the carmel macaroon were great. Service was great as well. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back."

  • "Excellent food. Service was really good. Wait staff was attentive but not hovering at our table. First time diner and will definetly recommend and will go back."

  • "Found this restaurant on OpenTable (which I use extensively for work as well as personal) and live in the Maple Grove area. This is a great find for a new local restaurant. The food and atmosphere were fabulous. The bakery items are awesome. We tried the lamb chops and duck l'orange along with the cheese cake and caramel apple tart and all were wonderful. Will come back again as well to purchase from the bakery in the very near future."

  • "My 9 year old daughter and I went for lunch. Entry way and seating area are right on top of eacother so when it is busy it is no fun sitting by the door. I was also disappointed that no kids menu was offered when you could clearly see I was with a kid. We ended up splitting a basic cheeseburger. It tasted good but the fries were hard. We split the tiramisu for dessert and it was just ok. We also bought some macaroons to take home. They were very disappointing"

  • "Patrick's is a little gem. It was fun to see some bistro favorites close to home. I'd love it if they added croquet monsieur at some point. We both enjoyed a deliciously rich mushroom soup and steak salad. I think I could have eaten the entire pot of soup! Rich and creamy, with a touch of brandy flavor, the soup was great with an authentic baguette! The steak was perfectly done and very tender. The wine list features French and California wines. Can't wait to go back and try something else. The pastries were very tempting!"

  • ""Nice" meal before our evening at the moves! Service was very friendly and non-intrusive, welcome change. Food is average, delightful and over all it was a unique dining experience. The decor was romantic and causal enough for happy hour, liked the French theme! It's not a place where you are going to get gorged on vast quantities of food, but rather enjoy a family friendly kind of menu.."

  • "The food was very good. The bloody mary was great! We had a table of 7, including a child, for breakfast and everyone cleared their plates. The only cons are probably related to the newness of the restaurant. Our waitress was terrible and had problems answering our questions. The menu, although it stated it covered the time we were there, was not entirely available to us. That said, the food was amazing and reasonably priced. We will return."

  • "My girlfriend and I meet for dinner the first time. The service was poor the server knew nothing about the wine list. We had to keep asking for water he came to the table with a pitcher with about two drops of water in it. He then goes back to get more. Odd! The service did not match the food! Lite very bright for dinner. Dime the lights! We sat in a booth by the food case, put up partitions between those booths. The food was really good. Didn't get a whole lot but it was very tasty. The desserts were outstanding. A few of my friends meet for breakfast service still poor had to ask for coffee and water. You did not get a hearty breakfast more designer will not go back for breakfast! Coffee was outstanding when we got some!"

  • "I was very excited about Patrick's opening in Maple Grove. i had heard good things about their other location. I was disappointed when I actually went there for Sunday brunch last weekend. The service was horrible and the food portions were very small. The food tasted ok but it was nothing special. I realize they just opened but really need to things figured out quickly. i will not be going back anytime soon, sadly."

  • "Food is average at best. The Shrimp and Scallops looked more like a appetizer than a 20.00 dinner. The brisket salad was more bacon than brisket or it was pretty grease brisket. The sandwiches are good choice. Be aware that the deserts do run out."
