  • "Had people in from out of town. This is a great neighborhood restaurant! Everyone had a good meal."

  • "The food here is delicious. We ordered the calamari and oysters for appetizers and were very pleased with both. Just enough food to get your appetite going. For our entrees we got the blackened tuna and the duck. Both were AMAZING and flavorful. I got my tuna rare and it was cooked perfectly. For dessert we got the chocolate cake. It was a little dry for my boyfriend, but I enjoyed it. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend Passion for a romantic date night. We will definitely be going there again!"

  • "Our experience at Passion was very nice. From the moment we entered they made us fell comfortable. We ha reservation for 7 and we arrived about 20 minutes early, were greeted, seated and cared for the rest of the night until we left. The only thing I really did not care for was the size, this place is small but the service and staff makes up for that with there professionalism. I highly recommend this place it could be a little pricey to some but you get what you pay for an the food is awesome."

  • "The food was amazing. We had swordfish and crab cakes with the house salad, 2 glasses of wine, 2 coffees and the check came out to $97 before tip. Service was okay. Our waitress was prompt with everything, but interrupted us to the point that we felt rushed."

  • "The Bellini martini---yum! They have a terrific martini menu with some new additions added recently. This time I had the Passion salad with that lovely goat cheese breaded thing that is so delicious, and then I had the filet sliders which were excellent-tender, tasty, dee lish. The ambiance is lovely, quiet enough and romantic, feels luxurious. But all the food is really excellent, that's the best part."

  • "Passion has become our favorite restaurant in the Tidewater region. The staff is stable, so we've gotten to know the chef, the owners, hostesses and wait staff. THey go out of their way to provide a special plate of fruit for my husband who has a severe eating disorder. For our special occasions, they give us a greeting card which the entire staff has signed. Upon entering Passion for my birthday recently, the chef presented me with a beautiful white rose, and they seated us at what they know is our favorite table. They even remember what kind of wine we drink. The food is extraordinary - different but now scary. My fish is always cooked well-done, just the way I request it. Their desserts are made in-house and are always interesting."

  • "Our evening of dining at Passion was a great end to a bad day of travel from DC to Chesapeake for a wedding. The staff were very accommodating when we needed to shift the reservation up by 30 minutes and called to be sure we would still be there when we were a few minutes late. Our waitress's service was excellent and the food was as well. Excellent preparation and presentation for both the entrees and the main courses (steak - rare, and crab cake). The wine by the glass were a real pleasant surprise as well. The only downside was there was a very large group in the same room. There were around 30 people for a birthday party and they were very, very noisy. Luck of the draw on that one. I would recommend Passion for a great meal."

  • "Don't let the mall location fool you. This is a high end restaurant. Everyone loved their entrées from the duck to shrimp étouffée to steak. Have to have the She Crab Soup. Homemade sorbets and ice cream for dessert."

  • "I had the seafood ettoufee the rice was kind of hard But overall it was good. My boyfriend had the brick chicken he said it was good but the Mac n cheese wasn't great maybe use cheddar cheese instead"

  • "My last Business luncheon at Passions in 2013 didn't go well. The great menu that I had come to expect became a "bar menu" of hamburgers and French fries. I'm happy to say that the "Old Passions" is back with innovative menu items that challenge foodies like me. I order the special, stuffed cabbage over mash potato’s and gravy. It was scrumptious. My good fortune was that I stopped by on a Tuesday, because it’s half off a bottle of wine on Tuesdays. I ordered an excellent Australian Shiraz called "19 Crimes". The title has a great story behind it. Our server, Anja, was excellent. She was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine. WELCOME BACK PASSIONS"

  • "This was the first time myself and my husband visited Passion. I always wanted to see what type of restaurant it was. We were very impressed with the entire evening. I took the time to visit your website as well and that was helpful. I have already shared my experience with a few friends and they are definitely going to dine with you. Thank you again"

  • "We made a reservation online, for 8pm. Received a call a few days before confirming. Got there 15 mins early, no table ready so we waited at the bar and each had a drink, $21 plus tip. At 8:15 we were seated, the server discussed the menu and indicated the "Valentines Day his n hers special, for $50.00. I asked if that was per couple or each. He indicated per couple. We ordered that special. The kitchen was way too slow. We really did enjoy the food, the taste was excellent with the exception of the sea bass which was very dry, overcooked in our opinion. We asked to speak with the manager, the owner came to our table, and indicated there was a large group that messed up the kitchen. Ok..Got the bill, $50 per person, not per couple. Not good"

  • "I took my wife here for Valentine's Day and we were very pleased with the experience. The food was beyond good. It was fantastic. The ambience lent itself very well for a romantic setting. And the staff was great as well."

  • "We go to Passion as often as we can for romantic evenings, or just to have a bowl of soup, salad and a glass ( or two ) of wine. The food is always wonderful, both in appearance and flavor. We even attended a cooking class at Passion! Had a wonderful time! The Chef is amazing! The she crab soup is the best I have ever had. Being a life long resident of Virginia Beach, I have tried most, but this one can't be beat!"

  • "This is a great place for a special occasion. Probably not great for groups larger than 4 but the food is amazing and the menu has a unique mix. Service was fast but we never feel rushed."

  • "I had first experienced your food when you catered a lunch at Town Bank. Since then Passion will be my go to for client lunches in Chesapeake. I shared the experience with my wife and she is jealous and maybe using you for her doctor lunches."

  • "Very quite restaurant with limited seating so reservations are a must. If you are looking for one of the best romantic restaurants in Chesapeake then this is a god place to go."

  • "We enjoyed excellent food. The salmon was cooked to perfection and served with Pad Thai and the sea food étouffée was a definite hit! We love that all the ingredients are fresh. The bread pudding and key lime tart were mouthwatering. This is just the right place for special occasions but we would also add it to our list of regular places to eat. Add all of this to the professional yet friendly attitude of the staff and you have an all round great experience."

  • "Everything about Passions was so very good, service was prompt, not rushed but very timely. Food was great and a couple sitting at the back table even got engaged while we were there. I had ordered a bottle of wine to go with our seafood and the waiter made a suggestion that another wine would go better with it because of the spice in the seafood and boy was he right, it was wonderful with the meal. I believe that anyone going to Passions would have a wonderful evening."

  • "A great experience! Unique drinks, as well as the "standards". The food was excellent. As a vegetarian, I enjoyed several items from the tapas menu. Lots of good tastes! My wife's steak was done to perfection, and she'll enjoy the "second half" for dinner at home. This is a great place for couples or small groups. Worth the price."

  • "Our dinner was flawless! Super service provided by Katherine (Catherine?, Kathryn?) I'm not sure how she spells her name but the service was topnotch! She is very knowledgeable about wines & we tried one we had never had before on her suggestion. It was lovely. After buying a glass we ordered a bottle. It's going into our "Memorable List of Wines". The food was great. Can't mess with perfection!"

  • "The waiter, Aaron, was AWESOME! It was the second time that he waited on us. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Tapas menu is awesome and the Ostrich was a Great Menu option."

  • "The restaurant came highly recommended, but ended up a disappointment. The New York strip was tough and full of gristle. More like a flank steak than something costing $29. I would not eat there again. This is a strip mall restaurant aspiring to be something it will never be."

  • "I made the reservation online for 5. At 5:30 a manager came over and stated that she was giving us until 7 because another party was coming in and she needed the table. She was rude and abrasive not to mention at the time she approached us the dining room was empty with tue exception of our table and our salads hadn't arrived yet. I ordered the NY strip and every piece of steak I tried to eat was half fat or gristle. When I informed the waitress she stated she would advise the chef and that was that! I spent $68 on dinner that night to be treated poorly and to have ordered an inedible steak!"

  • "Passion is probably one of the nicest restaurants in Chesapeake with excellent food and a very nice atmosphere. Service was exceptional. If you have a special occasion or just want a nice meal out, this is the place."

  • "We were celebrating an anniversary & were welcomed quickly upon our entrance. Service was polite & professional. However, for a small area we were "crammed in" next to another party of 4 adults. They weren't very loud but due to being placed so close we could have easily participated in their conversations. We would have preferred being placed a bit further away from other diners. The food was excellent along with the service, albeit a bit pricey. Our waiter apologized for not running thru a coupon that we presented prior to ordering our meals, we said we could use it for another visit. Even upon leaving, every staff member made it a point to acknowledge us & wish us a good evening- very nice!"

  • "My wife and I live approx. 1 mile from Passion and have been patronizing them since they opened. We have spent birthdays, anniversaries, date nights and New Year's Eves at Passion and never had a bad experience. Mike and Diane are outstanding hosts and Garrett is a maestro in the kitchen, as is his very talented Team. We always feel at home at Passion...thus the Cheers reference."

  • "This was our second time dining here. The food brought us back. The seating is too close to others. Our waitress forgot to put our order into the computer, but we were treated to a dessert. Don't know about a third visit..."
