Park Grill ChicagoFantastic timeOur group increased from 6 to 8 an hour before and they said no problem. When we arrived we asked to be moved out to the outdoor dining and they said no problem. It was the start of a fantastic Sunday brunch experience where everything was fantastic. Everyone in the group, young and old were extremely happy with the experience.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious! We were four at dinner and sat outside which was lovely. We had the scallops with lentils and the walleyed pike special. Both dishes were tasty. An enjoyable dinner.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMServers are friendly and helpfulWe brought in some out-of-towners for lunch and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Food was terrific and all the recommendations from the server were spot on. Everything was fresh and tasty and prepared just as requested. Special kudos to George who made us all feel at home.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMChicago must do!As the title states, it's a must do if you are in Chicago! Do yourself and get the lamb rigitoni!6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectionThe food was absolutely delicious and we had an outstanding waiter. I wished I could go there every week.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappointingGreat food and service. We keep coming back. We live in the area and, despite all of the tourists taking in Chicago's Grant Park sites in and around the restaurant, this restaurant isn't overrun by tourists nor do they compromise on quality and service as often seen at other establishments where one-time passing through tourists are the key patrons. Highly recommended. PJM6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMConvenient for lunch meetingsMeeting with colleagues for business discussion worked well here. Also, our waiter was Victor who was personable, affable, hospitality-mineded and efficient.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBusiness LunchThe Park Grill is a fantastic restaurant. There are many elements that contribute - location in Grant Park along Michigan Ave, atmosphere, excellent service and amazing food!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Food & ServiceOur waiter was very friendly and the food was very good. Would come back to sit outside.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMSmoked Shrimp salad was excellent.Smoked Shrimp salad was excellent. Aged porterhouse was unbelievable good. Pineapple upside-down cake was excellent. The Hendricks's gin old fashion was almost as good as the Woodford's Reserve old fashion. One of the best meals ever.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific Setting, Food and People..We had a lovely pre-symphony supper and felt very well taken care of, at the Park Grill Chicago. The weather outside was frightful but inside, it was quite urban and and delicious. We celebrated our 35th Wedding Anniversary in style.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was excellent! TheThe food was excellent! The service was great, and our waiter had fantastic suggestions on what to try.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyable outdoor dining for lunch!Really enjoyed the outdoor option for dining. The appetizers were outstanding and the staff was really attentive and nice!5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently GoodWe often dine at the Park Grill before concerts and find the food and overall experience are consistently good. The crab cake was one of the best ever and the beet salad with goat cheese and grilled chicken was perfect. As a fan of beet salad, I've noticed that Park Grill has changed it's recipe at least three times and all three versions have been very good.
Sometimes the ambiance is quiet and intimate and sometimes a bit noisy with tourists and families-never unruly, just louder. Our waiter this time was busy and not especially attentive; however the hostess, manager, and servers were very friendly and helpful.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMHot spot for Harris & Grant ParkExcellent food with good selection of light pre-concert fare.
Gentle noise level makes conversation possible.
Friendly and efficient service.
We return again and again and again.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMbirthday celebrationVery nice place to dine before CSO performance. Short walk on a beautiful evening. Wish it was open later for drinks after after show5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMcentral locationWas our first time at the Park Grill. Location is great; prices not outrageous. Service friendly and good. Was a little dark inside but for those with the view to the outdoor eatery, was fun people watching but with talking we enjoyed our friends without looking after awhile. Recommended/ featured asparagus salad main course was very good, despite was mostly greens; with homemade vegi spread and added choice of protein it was plenty. Loved not having to change our parking location and could easily walk to our CSO concert. Planning to go again....location, location, location! ....its best feature! Too bad 3 of the 4 of us ordered the same thing...would have liked to see more selections. ....next time.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Food at Park GrillOur experience was pleasant. The food was very good. I had the chopped salad which was superb and the duck breast which was very good. It's best to order it medium rare, as the chef suggests. My wife had the salmon and said it was excellent, as well as the pear and Gorgonzola salad. All in all it was a good experience and we would go back in a heart beat.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMEspecially for TouristsMy favorite lunch place in Chicago..great menu...beautifully located in Millenium Park under the famous Bean..next to The Art Institute of Chicago.
Best location in town..especially for tourists.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Time!We had the perfect lunch here... service was excellent, and the server made great recommendations that we decided to try. The food was delicious and everything was cooked just right. Will definitely be going there again!5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Value for a Chicago LunchThe Park Grill is an ideal spot for lunch in Chicago. The prices were not only more than competitive, but the portions were more than ample. We will split a sandwich the next time we go to the Park Grill.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers DayI took my mom on Mothers Day and we had a great time. Food was great and the waiters. I will definitely be back!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day 2013It was my first time there and I took my mom there for mother's day it was the best!!!!!! We so loved it and can not wait to go back the atomsphere was amazing!!! I had the Duck Breast very very good!! My mom enjoyed herself aswell and was very very happy!!! #Yum :-)5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMa happy mothers dayI celebrated mother's day with my three teenagers by visiting the Art Institute and dining at the Park Grill. The menu was nicely varied with good choices for everyone. The burgers and fries were delicious, as was the reuben sandwich, beet and goat cheese salad, tortilla soup, and the spring risotto. French onion soup was only so-so. The waiters were lighthearted and welcoming. It's a fun place for a special meal downtown and you don't need to be too dressed up.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat location!Had dinner here after a visit to the Art Institute. Very convenient. I had the scallops and they were delicious!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMImpromptu lunch with familyWe went for lunch with our three small children. I was very pleasantly surprised by the food for the adults and options for the kids. My husband and I had the scallops--delicious! Many options for kids, including nice vegetable options. We had a wonderful lunch.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food but noisy & slow serviceWe were seated quickly but it took 15 minutes to see a server. Food is $$$ but was good. Had PG burger, chopped salad, and kids' chicken fingers & burger. All were good.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGo for lunch, enjoy the viewIf you're fortunate enough to secure the outdoor dining and it's a beautiful/sunny Chicago day -- or if you're just inside the windows, you'll have a gorgeous view of the park and Michigan Avenue. Food is good. Prices reasonable.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMConvenient, comfortable, classy.Park Grill is so well located...near the Art Institute....on Michigan Avenue near a boulevard of beautiful flowers...and under the "Bean" in Millenium Park! Hard to beat that. Plus the food is great. And the staff amazingly friendly and competent. I'm an out-of-towner...but have been here many times. And can't wait to return.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious! This place was great! We were seated immediately despite being 15-20 minutes earlier than our reservation. The hostess took our coats and seated us. Our server was with us seconds later. My mom and I decided to order 2 appetizers and a salad to split. My favorite thing we had was the sausage flatbread. It was amazing! The steak salad was also superb. I liked the flavors in the prosciutto app, but it was a bit awkward to eat. They also have a fabulous olive spread they serve with the bread. If you are looking for a nice bottle of wine, you will probably find it here. They have an extensive selection. Another item of note, was they asked us if we were dining prior to seeing a show at the theater to make sure we were out on time.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMMissed outdoor diningTheir website shows a lot of outdoor dining. When we got their that wasn't the case. Still a great lunch but was really looking forward to an outdoor spring lunch in Chicago5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Food for GroupsThere is something to please every palate here. Convenient meeting place for out of town guests staying in the Loop. Parking discount after 4:30 PM was a bonus.
Our waitress was nice in the beginning ( took our photos etc) but seemed to take a turn for the worst - they were not overly crowded and she was not that busy. It was really a slow night! We did not order drinks. OUr bill was $40 per person and we tipped over 20% ( of course she wouldn't have known we were going to do that ). The bus boy was particularly nice / good! I tipped him too.
Message to wait staff: don't judge customer by their dress ( or a book by its cover!)4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMReally good food, well preparedReally good food, well prepared and presented, all served by a very attentive waitstaff. Great location: very convenient to the Art Institute, Orchestra Hall, and Millenium Park.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWe come back many times. ExcellentWe come back many times. Excellent location, food service. Highly recommended.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely lunch with an offbeat serverWith my friend at lunch in a booth by the window, what a lovely spot. My risotto was very good (I wish I could keep it white the way they do), with perfectly shaved parmesan on top. Only down spot was the waitress, who told us of the featured ham and cheese sandwhich (we are obviously not sandwhich types) and I had to ask for bread to go with my risotto and we received a tray of tasty special breads with a tiny ramekin with an intriguing spread and another with sweet butter. Had I not asked, this terrific side would not have appeared. Reasonable prices for good food.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, convenient locationI picked Park Grill for a dinner with an out of town client, so that I could show him some quick highlights of Millennium Park and Michigan Avenue. It's perfectly situated for that and he loved the idea of the ice skating rink right along Michigan Avenue. Since we were there betwen seasons, neither the rink nor the outdoor cafe were set up, but with a little imagination, we could see it.
The food and service were great. We were there on a Monday night and it was very quiet, so the food came out fast - which was nice. I had the scallops and they were perfectly cooked. The butternut squash, kale and black lentils that came with the scallops were excellent, beautifully presented and a wonderful flavor and texture combination.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMA fun, romantic location!Sitting and watching the world go by, ask for a table near the window and enjoy the people watching.
Always interesting specials, great service never rushed, we always go for the wait staff's suggestions, and are always pleased we did.
The only thing we miss is the Hot Chocolate - only available in the winter - it is a special treat we would love to have year round!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMI had a business lunch atI had a business lunch at the Park Grill. The service and food were excellent, and I would go back. Entrees are pricey - but there are also less expensive options for lunch such as sandwiches and salads. I didn't expect such delicious food from a place that's practically tourist central. I had the salmon and YUM. Thanks Park Grill for the delightful experience!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMVery convenient before a CSOVery convenient before a CSO concert

WeGreat service and food. We had the Cali Omelette and the Crabcake Eggs Benedict and both were excellent. This is a very convenient location for the Art Institute, Millenium Park and the Chicago Architecture Foundation tours. The only thing we didn't like was the loud noise level; both the music and the diners' voices were loud.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food as always,Wonderful food as always, and great friendly service !3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were in Chicago for EasterWe were in Chicago for Easter weekend and went to the Park Grill for brunch. We had wonderful, friendly, attentive service. The food was delicious and plentiful without being heavy or too filling. I had crab cakes benedict, fruit and bacon. The ambience was bright, light and fun without being too noisy. All in all I highly recommend this place. In nice weather there is plenty of seating for outdoor dining. It's located next to "the Bean" so much to see in the area. Enjoy!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEnded our Easter weekend downtownEnded our Easter weekend downtown at the Park Grill which was perfect location, kid friendly and brunch food choices! The kids buffet was amazing. We reminisced about our fun weekend and watched the Hawks game with a Bloody Mary from the Bloody Mary bar. Everyone was happy! The reservation process through open table was amazingly simple.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food, service, and presentationThe food, service, and presentation are getting better all the time.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMHideaway in the parkThis was a great spot for my husbands 60th birthday celebration with our 20-something kids. The kids were impressed and our foodie son and his friend enjoyed every bite (as we ALL did). We coincidentally dined on Wine Wednesday, where wine bottles are half off. So we enjoyed a lovely bottle of Malbec for $26. And the total check didn't kill us. The fact that this restaurant is under the park gives it an intimate, hideaway feel. Our server was attentive and very personable. The check didnt kill us. The evening was great.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went for an early dinnerWe went for an early dinner before a play...service and food were excellent.
