Diner Reviews
  • "We come to Palm Valley every summer during our family reunion in Ponte Vedra. The food is outstanding, and each year the ambience gets better and better. We always look forward to it and it never disappoints."

  • "Best food in Ponte Vedra Beach. Fantastic. We Love it. Menu is creative and blends various flavors to perfection."

  • "You can always count on the food being delicious. My favorite restaurant. Not really what you would think of as a "fish camp" but it is on the water and has a boat dock and docking facility for 2 or 3 boats."

  • "Food was good, maybe a bit too fried and heavy but delicious ."

  • "This restaurant was amazing!! Casual, low key but upscale, fresh food. The beet salad was amazing!!! Great place to go with the family, date night or with friends!!"

  • "We've been here 3 times and everytime thoroughly enjoy. Sat outside and loved the peaceful surrounding...wish they would place a few tables closer to intercoastal for a water view."

  • "...with a great combination of fresh menu choices, a bright environment with a nice view of the Intracoastal Waterway, and prompt, courteous service. Seating is limited, so making a reservation for popular times or days would be a wise choice."

  • "We found this great neighborhood gem through our hotel and are we thankful! The food is fit for foodies and the wine list is very comprehensive. We went back a second time in the same week! Whether you seek a cold beer at the bar or a fresh fish dinner - get the Grouper - this place will have you coming back for more. The staff is fun and eager to please. When I'm in Ponte Vedra I will eat at the Palm Valley Fish Camp."

  • "Palm Valley Fish Camp was recommended by a friend and it was one of the best recommendations I have ever gotten. The blackened Mahi was the best I have ever had. I fish for Mahi a lot and cook it fresh myself, never as good as theirs."

  • "We ate at the PV fish camp with family from out of town. It was our first visit and we had been advised by friends to do two things: make reservations and try the bread pudding. We had a party of 7 (which included my two children under age of 6) and we sat comfortably at our table. We had several appetizers, our favorite were the scallops. They were flavorful and melted in our mouth. All of the fish meals were fresh including the kids fish sticks and portions were perfect. For our dessert we ordered the bread pudding, absolutely fabulous! Well all had a great time and look forward to our next visit."

  • "Always a winner. PVFC is tucked away on the intracoastal in somewhat residential neighborhood. Food is fresh, fish is local, staff is knowledgable and the only negative is the noise level. I recommend dining early before the crowd. Outside dining is lovely too."

  • "After trying several other restaurants in the area, we came upon this gem. Being from Charleston SC, we know great seafood. This Resturant is better than most in Charleston. We told them we wished they would open one in Charleston and they said they were. When they open, we will have standing reservations! Strongly recommend eating here!!!"

  • "This is where we take ALL our out of town guests at least once during their stay! My husband and I stumbled onto this Fish Camp a year ago and waited 30-45 minutes just to sit at the bar (couldn't even get a table), and boy was it worth it! We've now learned to make a reservation several days in advance. Great little place with the friendliest staff. They serve the BEST Crab Cakes you'll ever have! In fact, my husband upgrades them with a fried oyster topper that can't be beat (not on the menu, but just ask). Our other favorite is their Pimento Cheese Spread, and we order it every time. Their other locations (North Beach and Julington Creek) are great too, but this is our favorite."

  • "I knew that Marker 32 owns Palm Valley Fish Camp. So I thought I'd check it out. The restaurant is very cute, and very inviting. When you walk in you are greeted by a display of fish on ice and a lot of bottles of wine. They have so much wine they store it under the bench seats in the dining area. We were promptly and warmly greeted. once seated our waiter got us some beverages and explained the specials. After we mulled it over the waiter appeared right on schedule to take our order. We had 2 appetizers--calamari, and conch fritters. Both were yummy. My wife had the Baja fish tacos which she loved and I had the fried shrimp and oyster platter. Both meals were served with steak cut fries. Please support this restaurant they are deserving."

  • "We had the best Father's Day meal! The food was perfect and the service was excellent!"
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "The food was excellent, everyone had a different entree, all fish dishes that night. Service was wonderful. This is our third time going and it is 20 miles away from us but well worth it."

  • "Hardly do food reviews. But this is worth it. Great shrimp and grits and fried food. Best chicken tenders anywhere for kids. Reserve early"

  • "We had a group of 8 for Saturday night family dinner. Had reservations for 8:30 for 6. Restaurant added two more people with no trouble and only a few minute wait. Drinks and appetizers came quickly but dinner entrees were a 40 minute wait. Food was worth the wait and was very good. Only problem was the high noise level. Will go back again."

  • "The food was great. Place is very small, so it tends to get pretty loud. Definitely not a "romantic" scene."
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "We have eaten here many times. This time we were disappointed. We ordered the crawfish appetizer, which we never received. When our entrees came out and I inquired about the appetizer, they had forgotten about it. The only offer was they could get it now. Who wants their appetizer after the entree? The crab leg in the low country boil was over cooked and the dish had only 3 mussels in it."

  • "Great dinner experience. Though I'm sure the small size adds to the ambiance, I wish there was a little more room outside to eat. Highly recommend PVFC!"

  • "If you love seafood, this is the place to go in Ponte Vedra"

  • "We eat here every beach vacation and it is consistent every time. Great food. Great service. Do not miss the octopus, the grouper and THE. BREAD. PUDDING."

  • "Could not get a reservation for Saturday night but was told the outside tables turn over quickly and shouldn't be more than a 15-30 minute wait. arrived and was told 45 minute wait. After 1.5 hours we were finally seated. Would not have waited if I knew it would take that long. Would have been nice if the restaurant provided us with a free appetizer or something while we waited on their deck. Food and service was good but nothing amazing. I ordered seafood and pasta and asked for medium spicy. Had no spiciness at all and very little seafood. Other guests had ribeye, shrimp and grits, and blackened mahi. All were good, mahi had no spiciness at all (so why call it blackened?). Probably would not go back."

  • "So worth the visit. The best fried seafood I ever had. Also the Thai roasted snapper was so good that I will remember it for a long time. Try the bread pudding too!! WOW"
    Dined on 6/9/2014
  • "The food is always good, with interesting specials and delicious staples. Sit outside if the weather permits, as the intercoastal is right there. I have been there several times and I have concluded that although the dinner menu has a few stellar additions over lunch, the service is drastically reduced. It's been open too long to excuse a 40 minute delayed reservation seating, 15 delayed drink order, and 30 minute wait for food after ordering."

  • "Wonderfully prepared fresh fish. One of the best seafood restaurants we've been too, ever! Wish we had saved room for the bread pudding which is famous in these parts."

  • "It is a lively restaurant with food not in the "fish camp" mold. Fresh, fresh, fresh and well-prepared!"
    Dined on 6/5/2014
  • "Too noisy and tables too close together. Should we return, I would only eat outdoors. Limited bar. I will never understand a seafood restaurant serving "farm raised fish" 2 miles from an ocean. "

  • "The restaurant totally met my expectations. Even though it was very crowded there was no wait for our table. Good wine selection. Very nice atmosphere with a view of the interview InterCoastal. The service was very friendly and efficient even with the crowd. We will go back many times. "

  • "One of our favorite spots for fresh seafood. It is noisy, which is great for us, because we don't mind bringing our 3 yo. The mahi is my favorite seafood dish in town."
