It is an energized and energizing spot and the food is wonderful! We live on Amelia Island so don't get down very often, but when we're in the area, It's P.V.F.C. for us."

  • "I was searching for a place to eat when I remembered Palm Valley Fish Camp; I had wanted to give it a try, plus it had lots of great reviews. I was pleased that they accepted reservations and allowed me to set the reservation online. When I got to the restaurant I checked in and was immediately taken to my table. The service was fair, we had Doug and he seemed a little brash but efficient. The food was delicious and I look forward to going back and trying some different menu items. Overall it was a GREAT place to eat!"

The mussels were the best I've had, the corn meal crusted snapper was delicious, and the cranberry bread pudding by far my favorite! I highly recommend this place."

  • "A Marriott Sawgrass Spa member told my wife about this place. We started with fried green tomatoes (outstanding!) and fried clam bellies (a little too oily). We both ordered from the blackboard specials- my wife had flounder and I had blackened mahi and these entrees were both delicious. The collard greens tha accompanied the mahi were just amazing as was the creamy polenta. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her flounder. We did not indulge in dessert but I was a little miffed that no one in the restaurant acknowledged the fact that I had mentioned in my OpenTable reservation that we were celebrating my wife's birthday. Also, while our waiter was certainly efficient, he was FAR from friendly- it almost seemed like he wanted us out of there!"

  • "This was our second visit to this restaurant. We live 4 hours away, and, honestly, I think we may have to drive down again very soon just to eat there! Even better than we remembered! We consider ourselves seafood afficianados, and PV knows how to obtain the freshest seafood and then cook it in very skilled ways. Started with steamed oysters -- cooked to perfection! We were there for brunch, so we had their buttermilk biscuit, pepper jelly, and "country ham" -- extremely delicious! Fried green tomatoes were good, but on the heavy side. Shrimp and grits were the best we ever had. Tried fried clam bellies for the first time -- it won't be the last! Very lightly battered, flash fried, tender, outstanding! Can't wait to return!"

Great appetizers (calamari has a pesto topping), entrees substantial and interesting (snapper special and the ribeye special were very good), salads very fresh (wedge salad was huge), desserts were excellent (bread pudding was the standout). It was a noisy restaurant, at full capacity for a Monday night. Make a reservation to be seated promptly. Cost and value were consistent. We had a great server who was knowledgeable and made great suggestions. I would go back."

  • "This was our second visit to Palm Valley Fish Camp - we enjoyed the food so much the first time we were there, I decided to use my birthday as a reason to return. My wife & I arrived promptly for our 5:00 reservation on a Saturday afternoon and ordered. The drinks & appetizers arrived and then we waited approx. 40 minutes for our entrees. The restaurant was only partially full so early in the evening but we sat and watched while the wait staff stood around the bar, playing with each others's hair and socializing. No one attempted to explain why other parties were seated, ordered and received their diners while we waited. After we had finished, our waitress dropped off the bill and walked away with no comment."

Many friends had mentioned how good Palm Valley Fish Camp was but, they could not even come close to the food experience we were blessed with. The blackened, cast iron flounder was INCREDIBLE but, as crazy as this may sound, the Kale was EVEN BETTER! Everyone in our party of 5 had something different and everyone loved it! I'll be taking ever visitor we have to this awesome place which sits on the intercoastal, presenting an unbelievable view! A MUST EXPERIENCE dining spot! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!"

  • "For appetizers, we ordered steamed oysters that my husband said were the best that he ever had, and fried green tomatoes that were even better than my own! My husband tried the brook trout and absolutely loved it. They were very accommodating in substituting more scallops and Mayport shrimp for the cod in my broiled seafood combo. Everything was so fresh! Our waiter was very helpful in answering our questions. The restaurant is small and there are many tables crowded in. We needed reservations even on a Wednesday night. There were a few lulls where tables were empty so the noise level dropped down, but within a few minutes all tables were full again. We will definitely go back to this restaurant again!"

  • "Palm Valley Fish Camp is one of those restaurants that we have a tendency to take for granted because they always deliver a great meal at a reasonable price. Saturday night was no exception. My wife and I have been there several times, and continue to be amazed by the consistent excellent quality of their food. The service, as always was personal and informative. For our entrees we had two of the staples at PVFC, the Blackened Mahi and the broiled seafood platter. The Blackened Mahi, served with a tasso ham gravy over grits with Collard Greens is just outstanding. Knocks it out of the park every time. The broiled seafood platter, while basic in its makeup, was perfectly prepared. Can't wait for another opportunity to go back."

  • "I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys fresh seafood with a southern flavor. The calamari appetizers was amazing; the potato hash that the fried calamari was on was delicious as was the cilantro pesto. Fried shrimp for dinner; among the freshest shrimp I've had out. All the sides were perfect. Homemade key lime pie for dessert was to die for, from the fresh whipped cream to the buttery graham cracker crust. Grab a cherry limeade if you're driving and a sangria if you have a DD. Can't wait to go back!"

We had the clam bellies which were as good or better than ones we have had when we are in New England. I had the beet salad which was delicious and my husband had the baked cod dinner.
