  • "Very enjoyable evening. The peppercorn salmon was fantastic and the key lime pie was the perfect ending."

  • "One steak overdone the other underdone creamed spinach loaded with nutmeg potatoes like paste. Very disappointing considering this was one of our favorite steakhouses. Further the steaks seem to be shrinking the palm San Antonio just not what it use to be."

  • "We went to see Wicked and the Palm was open that day for lunch. A bit pricey for lunch but very good food. Service was phenominal!"

  • "Great service at the bar as we were unsure of some of the wines and were given tastings to help in our decision making. Steaks were great but the lobster I had was dry and not very tasty. Overall we had a very good meal and would return."

  • "The waitress was very helpful. The red wine she recommended was great. One of us had lamb chops and they were cooked perfectly. I had a cod fish special and it was wonderful. The meal is expensive but worth it."

  • "Excellent evening, celebrating my youngest daughters presentation at the SW Physiology Conference. Memorable in so many ways. The food, wine and service were exceptional. Thank you to our server Rudy."

  • "I visited this place the day before yesterday with my customers for lunch. The atmosphere was impressive with walls decorated with caricatures of celebrities. It was a bit loud but endurable. The Pasta that I had tasted nice but those who had seafood dishes were unsatisfied (they said it was salty). Steaks seemed okay. I think this place is more for a business lunch/dinner than for a regular visit because of high prices."

  • "Went on a "show night" (when a musical was playing at the Majestic across the street). Waitstaff was very cognizant and considerate of this in the timing of the courses. Steak flavor was impeccable, au gratin potatoes flavorful without being too rich, green beans with porcini, pine nuts & red pepper flakes were crisp & tasty. Caesar salad was pretty standard. Creme brûlée was quite tasty though smaller in portion than we expected. Service was unobtrusive but also very attentive - never a tea glass gone empty or a sugar packet left on the table, etc. Overall, very enjoyable but with the typical sticker shock of a Palm restaurant. Wine list extensive but didn't take advantage of it this time."

  • "The palm is always great. Service is great if you get the right server which is 90% of the time. Can get pricey but well worth it!"

  • "Met up with friends at bar for drinks and they decided to join us for dinner. Hostess was able to quickly make arrangements for an extra couple to join which was nice. Wait staff was fun and courteous. My food was excellent, steak cooked as requested. Normally don't like anything on my steak but béarnaise was quite good. Very good sashimi appetizer. Au gratin potatoes were bland and too milky but not creamy. I would go again but I would most likely try different starch side. Good wine list with a variety. Fully stocked bar and excellent Manhattans. The only thing to make it better would have been to have an intimate dinner with my wife but I still completely enjoyed the company."

  • "Excellent food and "Texas-sized" portions. It is pricey, so I only go when conducting important business or for special occasions. Recommend reservations because it is packed even on weekdays."

  • "We've eaten at The Palm multiple times because it's so convenient to the Magestic. Previously, we've had implecable food and service. On this visit however, my family was disappointed. The food was only O.K.; not the wonderful explosion of flavor and texture we've come to expect. The service was very good but not not exceptional. There was nothing major, but minor things that made the visit seem not much better than any other "nice" restaurant. It's possible that because of the show at the Majestic it affected how they normally operate, but I would expect a restaurant with this reputation to be able to easily accommodate increases in crowds. I will definitely come back, under the assumption that this was an unusual anomoly. We love it here"

  • "Have been to The Palm many times and am always impressed with service, ambience and food quality. Waiters are attentive without being intrusive, and Italian dishes continue to surprise! OK, so it's not the lowest price one can find for a meal and drinks....but it's not the highest either and by almost any comparison, it's either equal to or above the others anywhere near the Majestic. We have never been disappointed. It's our favorite and will continue to be so."

  • "Food was well prepared and presented. Loved the fried asparagus and the filet migeon. Quiet atmosphere for lunch time meal. Definitely recommend to friends and family."

  • "We had a table of 7 the food, service and drinks came out at a great pace and tasted outstanding. Rudy as our waiter and he was the best we have had in San Antonio."

  • "We were there on a Monday night and the place was only about one tenth of capacity. As we have found out over time, the less busy they are, the less amount of attention you get. I asked for iced water and when I tasted it, it had an unusual taste to it. She brought only me bottled water, not my husband. I guess that was because I was the one that said something. The food was excellent. Just a hint of bad service, due to being slow I assume."

  • "I had always driven or walked by the Palm, but I have never been inside before. I decided to eat there before a show at the Majestic with my girlfriend and the food and service were amazing. The price is high, but worth it."

  • "A male at he hostess table was talking with seated guests. Several patrons were waiting to be seated, finally wait staff acknowledge them. This happened twice. Shame on him, I would have left. Sat, 3/16 at around 1pm"

  • "ive been to most great steakhouses around and the Palm is right along with the best. We went before a show at Majestic. Steak was fine as usual but ordered a bourbon to go with my steak. Mind you this is at least my 3rd visit to Palm and Im not a cheapskate. But $13.25 for less than a pinky finger's width of bourbon was almost abusive. It wasnt even a high end bourbon. it was knob hill. So, for another show at majestic, I might just go a little earlier and find my way to the Little Rhein Steakhouse on the river."

  • "The Palm was a nice change from the Riverwalk dining options. Quiet, white tableclothes, exceptional waitstaff and friendly ambiance. We enjoyed two excellent choices sea bass and a perfect filet. Both prepared perfectly, and the fish was very fresh and delicate."

  • "I must say, the Steaks and Seafood are FANTASTIC! The staff is friendly and the food is served timely. Great Place!"

  • "The service was wonderful! Omar knew the history of the resturant and decor- he gave great advice on menu choices. Resturant was a little louder than I expected for a "romantic" hot spot. Food was good, but not worth triple the price for the same steak you could get almost anywhere. I hate paying for something I can make at home pretty darn well, so if you do go, have the lobster bisque. That was the only item worth the price in my opinion."

  • "I heard great things about this restaurant and all it's history. It certainly didn't disappoint. The only downside was thebar was very crowded and the people sitting at the bar were put off by the fact that we had to reach over them and stand behind them while waiting for our table. The food was delicious - we had shrimp cocktail, crab cocktail and oysters to start. The horseradish they serve with the shrimp is VERY SPICY! I love spicy and it didn't disappoint. Then we moved on the salads and soups followed by the steak, which was excellent. Service was very attentive and knowledgeable just like you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Excellent place to entertain clients."

  • "The San Antonio Palm restaurant is ALWAYS MY FIRST CHOICE! There are many great restaurants in San Antonio, but given the opportunity to choose, I always pick this one. I am always made to feel so welcome--from the entrance at the door throughout the entire visit. The wait staff is always professional and so willing to accommodate. The wine list offers a great variety, and the food is consistently great. What more could one ask for?"

  • "My girlfriend and I had a ladies night out on Saturday evening. Dinner and the symphony. The food and service was exceptional at the Palm. We had fantastic Chilean sea bass and it was cooked perfectly. The wine was exceptional. I really liked that we could leave our car valet parked until after the symphony and just walk across the street to the Majestic. Great venue for dinner before the theater or symphony. Will return soon."

  • "The bar did not have Blackberry Brandy nor B&B. My wife had excellent Chilean sea bass. My brother had very good Veal Marsala. I had linguini with clam sauce that was awful. the clams were gritty and the sauce was too spicy The key lime pie tasted like vanilla pudding with a hint of lime."

  • "We went for our 10th anniversary and arrived a little early. They were very gracious and immediately sat us at our table. We had a great server named Patrick, who went out of his way to make our evening special. At the end of the meal, they even comped our dessert, which was one of the best creme brulees EVER! I didn't particularly like the decor because it seemed a little outdated and cheesy, but the experience made up for it. We'll definitely be back for the ribeyes and the dessert!"
