  • "Our server didn't know anything about the special when asked. He was very slow with taking our order and with bringing us drinks. My steak came out med rare/rare when I asked for medium. When I asked to have it fixed b/c I don't like rare steak it was obviously microwaved to try and fix it. The corn and shrimp hush puppies had very little shrimp in them. Our cocktails were very good, but were probably the best thing we had. My husband had the risotto and said it was fine."

  • "The Food was great service was wonderful. I got the BLT and it was to die for. My dining partner got the grains salad with chicken she ate every last bite. And we ended with bread pudding which was a perfect ending to a delightful lunch. The one thing that made this not a 5 was we went Friday at 12:30 and there was nowhere to park. I had to circle like a vulture until someone left the restaurant. But the lot was empty by 2. So to avoid problems go early or late."

  • "This is a popular RTP spot for lunch and after work beers. We came on a Saturday with some friends for a low-key birthday. I was actually surprised how lively it was on a Saturday evening. We decided to come here because it was a central place to meet and the half-price NC beers on Saturdays. We were not disappointed. The two dinner salads were well received, the ribeye was good, and the shrimp creole I had was excellent. And it wasn't jam-packed, as is usually the case at lunch on weekdays. All I can say in closing is: a great place, as many patrons in RTP know, and really good for dinner. Highly recommend."

  • "Their lunch menu is much better. The server was pretty awful. I coudn't answer my questions and didn't bother to go find out the answer. Our teas were never filled up so we sat all of dinner with nothing to drink. We also had to wait about 15 mins for him to even walk by again to get our check and the place was empty so it wasn't like they were super busy."

  • "This was my first visit. Went on a Wednesday for lunch. The place was full - definitely looked like a popular place to go. I was glad I had a reservation. I liked the menu selection. The food taste was okay, but not great. The service was very slow for just about everything. I'd visit again if others wanted to go there but it definitely would not be my first choice."

  • "I had the flatiron steak with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I was served an entire platter of Brussels sprouts, with the potatoes and steak on top. I loved the sprouts but there were far too many of them, most of which I did not eat. The steak was perfectly cooked, though, and delicious. My husband's gumbo was an odd orange color; he liked the taste but was put off by the color, honestly. Our server seemed inexperienced and not especially customer friendly. The restaurant kindly accommodated our early arrival, however, after we phoned and let them know of a change in flight arrival time."

  • "Experience was just okay. Server didn't appear to like her job. There wasnt very many menu options, most of which are seafood (which I don't eat). They were pricey for their portions. I got the PRG burger which came with no sauce (ketchup, mustard, etc.) so it made the burger appear bland and tasteless. My family wasn't every impressed and I highly doubt we will be returning anytime soon."

  • "I had a good time. I sat outside on the patio. The food was pretty good. I had the weekly special which was a fried chicken thigh sandwich with an onion jelly and a missing hot sauce, lol. It was still delicious. I'm a landscape architect so I took note to the layout and design of the site and building. Good architecture and I liked the use of conserving rainwater for watering with the big cisterns. Nice touch. I will say the patio was bare. All of the planting beds were empty. They need more plantings. YES, I know this has nothing to do with food but it's what I look at thinking about how my experience would of been more enjoyable. Overall: Fun, Good Food and I'll be back."

  • "Good service by assigned wait staff but odd people from the kitchen deliver food and then cant find the patrons until auction-like bidding goes for the wandering plates. Wait staff did not return after food was delivered to inquire about needs so I had to flag a passing wait staff for other table to get a utensil. No plate provided for mussel shells ever; assigned wait staff commented on this fact when check was delivered. Bottom line, not enough wait staff for size of crowd."

  • "Celebrating a special birthday with family needed a place that took reservations on Friday night. We liked the decor and particularly were attracted to the PRG's desire to support local farmers and businesses. The chef did a great job and the food was delicious as well as the presentation. The restaurant had a small private room for larger groups as well as outside dining (we didn't use it, it was raining). There were families, couples, large groups, etc. so it caters to everyone. Our table ordered seafood, beef, and chicken dishes and we were very pleased with our choices and how the meals were presented. Delicious. Wait staff very attentive and pleasant and was able to answer our questions."

  • "Restaurant did not email me or call me to let me know they would not be open because of previous day's snowstorm. We arrived early at a darkened restaurant. When I called their number, I received a recorded message saying they had planned to open at 5 p.m. (the time of our reservation) but they changed their plans and would open for lunch the following day. I left my cell number and I did get a call back and an apology."

  • "Like many men, I forgot to make reservations for Valentine's Day. I used Open Table to round one up, and all our "regulars" we're booked; however, I did see PRG listed. I remembered it because it is near where I worked, near RTP, in Durham, just off I-40. When we arrived I was struck by the open, contemporary interior, the prompt and friendly seating and the quick arrival of the server. My wife is "Gluten free" and pleased with the appropriate menu, and willingness of our server to check on her concerns. I found much that I liked, and eventually chose the small fish plate. The salads arrived within minutes and we're fresh, Crisp and seasoned perfectly. The entrees arrived hot and very attractively presented; plus the tasted great."

Parking was available for this business lunch meeting whereas at the last lunch meeting there was no parking to be found. Parking is not an issue for dinner. I return time and time again because of the convenience and quality of PRG. Chapel Hill Food Group does things right."

  • "I've had lunch here a few times and decided to have dinner there before a recent show at the DPAC. Not so crowded, and the food was very good - grain salad with salmon, and my wife had a burger. We shared a Smore for dessert but the concoction was too much marshmallow and not nearly enough chocolate pudding or graham cracker. The service was ordinary. Probably have lunch there again, but no great rush to return for dinner."
