  • "We love coming to Oscar's and have ever since it opened! We think the food is wonderful, and the service is wonderful, and always love sitting outside when available!"

  • "We do love the walleye at this restaurant. This particular evening the service was not up to par."

  • "What a lovely little town and the outdoor seating at Oscar's takes advantage of it. We split a very good beet salad and the walleye was fresh and delicious. The angel hair pasta looked very good too and next time I will definitely try to veal. Lots of good choices here."

  • "Food was fabulous as always and the jazz duo added to a great evening."

  • "Twice in a row, a very average overall experience at this place. Last time we left before we even got our entrees, this time we did wait it out. Sat almost an hour before they came and there were 3 other filled table other than us in the entire place. Wife got the crispy salmon which was actually 'wilted' not sure what they did to that. This isn't the same place that was here a few years back - must have either new management or ownership. Too many other great choices in Columbus. Don't waste your money or time."

  • "My first time to Oscar's. Food was fantastic and not incredibly expensive. It was a little louder in there than I expected, but the place was packed. Good place for a dinner date out with the spouse or a small group of friends, but not "overly romantic" if that's what you're looking for. We got great service, food came out fast and it was delicious. Can't ask for much more."

  • "This was an anniversary dinner so we appreciated that we were not rushed to get in and out like most places. The food was very good and the service was attentive but not over done. There was good energy which made you feel that everyone was having a good time. Would definitely go back for dinner or a special occasion"

  • "Our meals were okay, but not as good as I remember Oscars."

  • "Oscar's has been a long time favorite even when I didn't live here and was coming in to Dublin to visit or coming for the Memorial golf tournament. The ambience, particularly out doors in the summertime is terrific. The menu is old and tired although they tout the "creative American food" slogan. I'd like to go there more often but they need to get on with more creative offerings. Other than that, great place."

  • "Had dinner here during the golf tournament. The bar area was nice but we waited 20 minutes after our reservation time. Salads came out quickly and then we waited for 2 hours for the rest of our food. We were not asked if we wanted another drink during this time and we had to go to the bar to ask for service. We asked to speak to the manager she said she was sorry and would check on us when the food arrived- she never came by and at the end of our very long meal they offered us free dessert for the slow service - that is the last thing we wanted! Food was just ok - very average, tons of other places to dine in Dublin with better food and service!"

  • "Oscar's Creative American Cuisine really does a fantastic job with great food combinations and choices. Every dish is a pretty good size portion on top of it being very delicious. If there was an Oscar version of an award for best restaurant Oscar's would definitely win for the creative dishes category. Not very vegetarian friendly menu but they did a great job to accommodate my sister and her husband who are both vegetarians who came to my birthday dinner at Oscar's. They can easily modify some dishes to make it vegetarian but it would be really hard for a vegan to find something suitable to eat besides their salads. Sitting outside on the patio gives a charming view of Old Historic Dublin and while listening to musicians play live music."

  • "Excellent food - good presentation and good service. Unique salad and warm bread are nice treats. Only downside was a large group seated nearby that made the noise level too high"

  • "The waitress was extremely pleasant, and very helpful in ordering. We got a wonderful secluded table since there were just two of us and we had a fabulous dinner. We had an appetizer (oyster tacos) and two salads both fantastic and then salmon which was cooked absolutely perfectly. Also spent time at the bar - bartenders were great and the people that came in made the vibe special."

  • "Arrived for a 9:00 PM reservation Memorial Tournament weekend, having come from Dallas, TX. Ordered a bottle of wine, and after it was opened, and served, we were told they were out of Walleye (the reason I came here). So we went across the street to Tucci's, where I was able to get Walleye. "

  • "I had my first visit to Oscar's recently and it was great. The reservation system was easy, as Open Table always is, and we were able to be accommodated even though we were running late for our reservation. The staff was incredibly polite and attentive. The portions were not incredibly large, but definitely not small...just about enough for one meal. The risotto was fantastic and had a good mix of seafood. The menu tends to be more focused toward seafood, but there are chicken and beef entrees as well. The wine list was quite substantial both by the glass and bottle. Overall, I was very pleased and would return here in the future."

  • "We were at the Memorial Golf tournament and asked a local to recommend a good restaurant for dinner that was not a chain. Oscar's was that recommendation and we enjoyed an excellent meal on the patio."

  • "Great food! The drinks, salad were great. The baby back ribs were so good. I will come back again!"

  • "Lovely restaurant; beautiful ambiance. We took our son there for his 30th birthday; he got a complimentary dessert; the drinks were exceptional, the food was delicious. In the warm weather, they have a wonderful patio with music; can't wait to go back. Dublin is so charming with brick streets. They also have valet parking for only $2.00. I highly recommend it. "

  • "the tables here are too small if you only have 2 in your party. try to add to the dining list so you get adequate space."
    Dined on 5/2/2014
  • "Service was a bit slow, but then the restaurant was BUSY!!! Everyone in the party enjoyed their food-love the oysters tostados especially. Asked for a side car and was told that they are putting it on their summer menu. Seems to be a trend. I heartily endorse it. Good side car. Thoroughly enjoyable evening."

  • "Our meal was very good with competitive pricing. The Chocolate Bread pudding (while it was rather small) was very good."
    Dined on 4/24/2014
  • "Making dinner reservation was very easy. Was seated at a table for two in a small space adjacent to the front door; not especially intimate. Drinks, dinner and dessert were very good. Service was OK. We were not rushed"

  • "Everyone in our party of four enjoyed their food tremendously. My filet was cooked to perfection. (The others also enjoyed their tuna tacos, veal dish and tilapia.) Our only complaint was the length of time it took to get our main course--quite a while! We did notice a large group leaving from a room apart from the main dining area as we were finishing our meal, and I'm sure this contributed to the slowness of service. Overall, a pleasant dining experience."

  • "Oscar's has become probably our favorite place. There is such a "local" feel and everyone is very friendly. It is obvious, especially in the bar, that the patrons are regulars and everyone seems to know one another. We live about an hour from Oscar's and decided at the last minute to see if we could get a table. We were very happy we were able to do so. The food is always superb and the atmosphere is great!"

  • "Great food with many different dinner choices. Great to take out of town guest to, especially if you don't have any idea of their food preferences. Service has always been excellent."

  • "the only negative for this place was that it was VERY cold inside - it felt like the A/C was on and blowing on us"

  • "Went to Oscar's for the first time with some business colleagues and we were generally pleased with everything. I had the crusted salmon and it was delicious and cooked to perfection. (the maritini was good, except I had to send my second one back because the bartender used too much olive juice). However, one of my colleagues ordered the New York steak - medium and his came out well done. Unfortunately the rest of us had already received our meals and by the time the replacement steak came back, cooked correctly, the rest of us were done eating (hard to believe it takes that long to cook a medium steak, especially on a rush). Oscar's management did comp his meal and sincerely apologized, so I'll be back. Good food, good service, nice atmo"

  • "My girlfriend was in from out of town, and while there are many choices in downtown Dublin...Oscar's did not dissapoint as the best of those! Great food, calm atmosphere, superior wine list! Superb."

  • "We have been to dinner at Oscar's several times and it has gone down hill the last two times. Service was slow, as was the restaurant. I had a filet and it was mealy with little flavor. I ordered broccoli vs the mashed potatoes and they were good. The couple we went with had a similar experience with their food, a filet and angel hair pasta dish. Little flavor for the prices paid. I don't believe we take the chance on going back."

  • "Oscar's has been a one-of--a-kind, consistently good restaurant in Old Dublin for many years. Always a favorite spot to meet for lunch or dinner especially in warm weather, when the patio is open. Some of my personal favorite items on the menu are the butternut squash soup, chicken salad, and the walleye dinner. There is a wide variety of menu options and you can count on excellent taste & quality. Always great service in a comfortable yet white table cloth setting. Love the bar too!"

  • "Enjoyed all but the ambience. This was just average."

  • "Excellent food - great variety and creative dishes - just as it says "creative American dining". I don't think I'd ever seen devilled eggs on a menu like these and banana cream pie - my favorites!"
