  • "I will certainly be back because I truly enjoyed this place! The atmosphere was perfectly charming and the food options sounded and were exquisite. My only complaint was how salty everything was. If a few dishes were salty that'd be fine but we ordered little bites, antipasti's, main dishes, etc and everything combined was extremely salty. I couldn't finish more than 3 bites of my meal but it wont discourage me from going again to try new things!"

  • "I had my 25th birthday here! It was absolutely lovely. Our server was so kind and helpful. She split the checks without us asking and we weren't charged a cutting fee even though we brought in a birthday cake. She brought the cake out at the perfect moment. Everything was magical and the food was exceptional. The restaurant itself is gorgeous."

  • "Dinning at Olive and June was absolutely wonderful. The staff was so polite and professional. The ambiance of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The manager Paul was very helpful with our wine selection and the food was the TOPS. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening with guest in from out of town. The other great thing about the evening was we got the credit from our out of town guests for selecting O&J. A wonderful experience indeed!"

  • "Olive and June was a treat for a year for one who doesn't eat out often. The patio was rocking but inside the dining room was pleasant and comfortable for conversation. The service was excellent and there were no long waits for food. Our reservation was 6:30pm on a Thursday evening. The drinks were perfect before dinner. All food portions were small and exquisitely plated. Each diner was satisfied while enjoying the subtleties of each dish. Be sure to ask the wait person for recommendations and suggestions!"

  • "We headed here with a group of 7 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal, keep in mind if you don't eat meat that many of the sauces contain it and sometimes it is not clearly listed as an ingredient on the menu. The outdoor area is built around a huge gorgeous oak tree which is lovely, and the cocktails impress as well (try the basil and lemon one). Enjoy!"

  • "I came here with my mom for a late birthday dinner. The menu is a little weird, but so is this city so it was absolutely perfect for me. I only say it's weird because perhaps you should check it before you come. It was absolutely ideal for my mom and I (We started with a raw scallop dish for an appetizer and had Monkfish and Green Garlic Risotto for dinner), but perhaps isn't somewhere I would take my classic-food-loving dad. However, if you have the right crowd, I truly don't think there's a meal you could order here that wouldn't be one of the best things you've ever eaten. My absolute new favorite!!"

  • "The food was great, although mine arrived lukewarm and not hot and it took about 30 min to get our main courses. But really, for $32 they couldn't afford to throw in more than three scallops? It didn't even include a veg or anything. Come on. For $32, you'd think they could throw in a few asparagus spears or a scoop of farro. Small fancy food and fancy prices. Might recommend, but with reservations."

  • "I made a reservation for 830pm. We weren't say until 9pm. Then we waited 15 minutes to be great and 45 minutes for our food to come. When our food finally arrived it was luke warm. We had to ask for our drinks multiple times. I was bringing out of state guests. I was so embarrassed."

He never rushed us, never brought out the next course before we had finished the first, but he was always there when we needed anything (plus, he was super fun!).   • "I decided to look for a nicer restaurant with different menu options and away from downtown. I have been to Parkside and Backspace previously, so I knew of Olive and June, but had not been there yet. The waiter was very helpful and able to suggest menu items without seeming pushy. The wine was nice, and our entrees were great. I thought the appetizer plates were a bit small. However, overall I enjoyed the experience. The building and restaurant setup was beautiful."

  • "Our group of girls loved Olive & June! We had drinks at the bar before dinner and then dined on the patio. Great ambiance with the lights, umbrellas and privacy. Fans were nice too since we were worried about it being a little muggy after an earlier rain. The service was excellent and our server made great recommendations. Since we were a group of 6 we decided to share. The strawberry crostini appetizer was delicious and a perfect bite to get us started. For dinner we ordered the saffron ravioli, monkfish, brussel sprouts and kale. The portions were on the small side for sharing so we ended up ordering a few extras. We also shared 3 deserts - which were all amazing. We will definitely be back!"

If you needed something, there was always someone ready to help with your request. Sign of a good staff! And I love the food!"

  • "My husband and I got a babysitter and wanted to have a night away. This restaurant couldn't have been more perfect. Our car was taken on the street by valet and we walked into the stunningly romantic and beautiful courtyard. We were seated in a cozy booth on the second floor and greated by Adam, who enhanced our dining experience. We just happened to come on a night that the wine and small plates were half off and you can't complain about that. Every dish we ordered was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic evening getaway. It's as if this were your own secluded piece of beautiful Italy in the middle of a Texas city."

  • "Great restaurant! First time here, we were visiting from San Diego and wanted another cuisine besides all the BBQ we were going to eat. Excellent food. Now for people that expect big portions, this place is not. A few good bites for the appetizers but each bite is like heaven. The entree portions are a bit larger . I tell you even with a few bites here and there we were all stuffed by the time we were done. No room for dessert! Lol We would definitely come back here again in a heartbeat."

  • "I went here for a late Valentine's Day dinner with my girlfriend after hearing from several people (and reviews) that it was really good. For the life of me, I don't understand the hype at all and neither did she. All the plates are very small for the money. My $30 scallop entree literally had 3 small scallops - I had to order a second entree just to not leave hungry. The drinks are pretty good - not great for Austin - and the service is nice and friendly. But in Austin, you can get friendly service almost anywhere. It’s a cute place, I really wanted to like it - but overall, the experience was really forgettable."

  • "A family favorite, from the varied menu choices, stellar cocktail and wine list, and fabulous desserts. Service is always attentive. Even with a few dietary restrictions, all of us were able to enjoy a different, delicious entree. The waitress was very knowledgable, gave us great suggestions. The homemade mozzarella appetizer is always delicious! We always order the brussel sprouts. The homemade gelatos must be tried, the fresh pear seasonal one so yummy! I could go on and on, just going to end this review by saying Go! Go! Go! You will not be disappointed."

  • "I met my girlfriends for happy hour on a Friday night under the gorgeous Oak (?) tree at Olive and June's. We enjoyed one of each of the half price appetizers. Not a morsel was left. The food was interesting and delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. And being outside, the noise was low so we could actually hear each other and have a real conversation. We will be back for sure!"

  • "The service could be better. Maybe we had someone inexperienced? She really didn't smile, seemed to be rather lazy, and just didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Although the food was as expected it wasn't as good as our previous time. Maybe it's because we tried different things than our last visit. For th price I would except much better service and a bit more per portion size. One tip I have is when you order the 3 scoops of sorbet it should come in a chilled bowl so it doesn't melt as quickly."

  • "We were visiting in Austin and dropped in for their Monday night specials. My pasta dish, Rigatoni, was maybe the best pasta I ever had. And that includes the 10 days in Italy a few years ago. My wife also enjoyed her dish. Service was good and they take the time to explain the menu and the dishes when they come out. We ate downstairs and did not see the upstairs room. Downstairs is nice, but does have a window to the kitchen which makes the room a little more casual than the rest of the decor. There is also a nice patio outside."

  • "This is the 3rd time we've had "Sunday Dinner" at at Olive and June. For $29 p/p you can enjoy four amazing courses served at a leisurely pace. We were hoping to dine outside under the enormous oak tree, but the winter weather had other plans. We dined upstairs in a booth OVERLOOKING the oak tree so at least we had that! Because we were celebrating my birthday, the waitress treated me to a lovely glass of prosecco. She suggested a great bottle of Italian wine and then the courses kept coming! Dessert is not part of the 4 course meal so we opted to try two off the menu. Service from the entire wait staff starting with the valet and hostess, along with the waitress, waitress assistant, to bartender were all excellent!"

  • "We experienced happy hour and try nearly everything among the four of us on the appetizer list. I particularly like the polenta with farm egg but all enjoyed seafood with delightful puree as well as wonderful meats and cheese board, pork meatballs, and marinated mushrooms wrapped in zucchini strips.Well drinks were perfectly mixed with just the right amount of olive juice in our dirty martini and an interesting Tiramisu Martini. We shared entrees of grilled quail with speck and fusilli and brussel sprouts accompanied by an Argentinean malbec. We closed out our evening to celebrate a birthday with a light and tasty Fernet Chocolate Ganache and a Honey Ricotta Fried Ravioli; the best dining evenings we have shared in Austin."

  • "My girlfriend and I went to Olive and June for valentines day and overall we had a great time. The food was amazing and the ambiance was spectacular as we got to watch the chefs in the back room rush about filling orders. My trout was very good if not a bit salty for my taste. The quail which I convinced my girlfriend to let me try was very interesting. There were so many things on the plate that it just felt smothered. Not a bad dish but not great in my opinion. This being said, I am not a frequent flyer when it comes to nice restaurants like Olive and June so maybe I'm over analyzing. My one criticism would be the service. I think we had 4 people wait on us over the course of an hour and a half. Also not much was explained about the wines"

  • "Having lived in Rome, I can be picky about Italian restaurants. This one definitely makes the cut. Excellent service, impeccable wine list (Italian), traditional as well as new and funky Appertives and Digestives, beautiful atmosphere. Very open and clean with beautiful outdoor seating around a very large tree (great heat lamps on a chilly night too.) The menu was a perfect balance of selections including a small bites section and seasonal crudo. I had the scallop special and my husband had the NY Strip, both large servings and delicious, along with a yummy beet salad and melt in your mouth warm mozzarella. The fresh pasta section was appealing but we were just too full. Dessert- the best banana gelato on top of salted caramel, so good!"

  • "I love Olive and June- the food is always great and always being updated, with great portion sizes - you can really customize how much or how little food you're going to end up with. The piccolo piatti are so great, because you can try something you're not sure about without feeling like you're risking a main course or throwing a lot of money down the drain. Great selection of apertifs. Decent wine by the glass selection as well - I had a Sicilian wine just because my date was wearing a pinstripe suit jacket, and it was delicious. Love everything about it!"
