A word from Olio Pizzeria
Olio Pizzeria, opened in July 2010, is a causal pizza bar/salumi bar/wine bar/full bar which was inspired by the myriad neighborhood pizzerie and enoteche (wine bars) found around the corner from just about every piazza in Italy. This idea began to take shape before Alberto and Elaine Morello even opened Olio e Limone Ristorante, their fine dining Italian restaurant next door, in 1999. Wine bars serving boutique salumi and formaggi are all the rage in Italy, as is a new regionalism which they are excited to share with you. Sicily is an emerging powerhouse, and touches of Sicilian food and wine delight their guests. You’ll also find exciting tastes from Campania and other emerging regions on their menus, wine and beer lists. Join Olio Pizzeria for private dining for up to 32, group dining, or send an inquiry regarding catering. Buon appetito!Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Good food, fun selection of pizza's but salty for my taste. Also, very loud inside."

  • "After reading all the hype about this restaurant, I was excited to go. The pizzas are extremely overpriced and are nothing out of the ordinary. I was very disappointed. I would never go there again."

  • "Exactly what you hope for if looking for typically Italian style pizza and lighter fare, in a comfortably casual environment. The meat and cheeses selections were delicious and perfectly paired as recommended, the wine was a perfect accompaniment and overall dining experience was just what we desired for a late Saturday evening meal. I have been here a number of times, just with my wife and I and with various assortment of my kids (ages 15 - 23) and we all love this place."

  • "Pizzas are outstanding. Service was slow but good. We asked for bread 3 times but bread is on the menu and you pay for your basket. We were willing to pay. But never got a basket! Going back for more pizza."

  • "This pizza was sooooo good and so fresh. I cringed at the $18-19 price for a generous size 1-serving thin crust pizza, but it was so worth it. Only negative was the $10-18 bottles of beer and glasses of wine. I just wanted a regular beer with my pizza - Olio should save those prices for the fancier Olio and Limone restaurant next door."

  • "The place was packed with people enjoying their evening. That was the first good sign. And, the aroma alone could draw you inside. We were greeted by a very friendly host and seated at the bar in front of the guys making pizzas and meat/cheese plates. This is one of the best spots to sit. Watching them work is optional, but fun to see someone so good at what they do. We had the seasonal Pizza Special, which was loaded with figs. It was so Amazing that we came back the next day and had it for lunch."

  • "Olio Pizzeria does not disappoint! Our waiter was amazing... he recommended the squid ink calamari & it was the best we've EVER had! We also had an artichoke, arugula & shaved parmesan salad that was brilliant, recommended again by our waiter. The pizzas were also fantastic. We can't wait to return & try more off the menu."

  • "If you want the real deal, go to Olio Pizzeria. The best pizza this side of New York and Italy. Seriously...this is the place. And get that artichoke salad for starts, it's absolute heaven. "

  • "Open table reso at 630, we weren't seated until 715. The waiter did not approach our table until 20 mins after we were seated. Ordered our wine. The waiter returned 15 minutes later to take our order and our wine still had not arrived. When our food arrived, that particular server did not care who had ordered what, he just threw down the food wherever he decided it should go and we could figure it out ourselves. I have never, ever had such horrible service. It is a shame because they're food is pretty good."

  • "We started with fried artichokes and the fried calamari, black in the squid ink, and with a yummy garlicky sauce. All delicious. Then we had the Umbria pizza. Others in our party had the margarita pizza and the capricciosa pizza. We also had a locale salad and a beet salad. Again just wonderful. You can't go wrong. The waiters will help you decide. Thin crispy crust and delicious toppings. Don't skip the Umbria pizza. It is to die for! "

  • "Best pizza in town - bar none. And don't forget the artichoke salad to start, with extra dressing....you go to heaven."

  • "I lived in Italy for 5 years and Olio Pizzeria is the closest I have come to being in a lively pizzeria restaurant there. Every dish was better than the next, service was excellent. The Umbra pizza with black truffles was out of this world, and the cauliflower appetizer was like nothing I have tasted before. Blended with the cool ambience of Santa Barbara, this place is my new favorite and I will definitely be going back and recommending to all. Don't miss it!"

  • "Took 30 minutes to get a drink. Unfortunately for us, our waiter was brand-new and didn't quite know what he was doing."

  • "Oh my, next time I go I am having the butterscotch budino first. Everything was wonderful. The fried cauliflower was just perfect the coating was light and airy - I could have made a meal out of it. I ordered the fennel sausage and sweet onion pizza - I don't like tomato sauce and WHAT a JOY! I didn't have much room left but I always want dessert so I ordered the butterscotch pudding and it was out of the world - HEAVEN. I want to marry the chef."

  • "Love the freshness and the food is very authentic and tasty. Pizza and salads are the choices but it is a pizzeria. Too many meat choices for my liking but staff is very accommodating to mix things up."

  • "We had a nice birthday experience at Olio e Limone pizzeria. Though they don't take reservations, they do allow you to be waitlisted online, which was great as we drove up from San Jose, CA. We had a party of 6 plus 3 children. They reserved us a table in a small back room with the restroom attached. Would have been nice if it weren't in the room, but it was partially covered by a curtain so it wasn't too bad. They were very good to the kids and made every effort to keep them happy. I had to look for our waiter a few times, but it wasn't that he was taking so long, it was just that I couldn't wait for him. I didn't agree with the cake cutting fee as I cut my own, but it wasn't the end of the world either. Overall good times!"
