I took my wife there for our anniversary, but it wasn't the romantic setting I would have liked. First, they seated us next to the cash register. Then my loud-voiced waiter made jokes that were funny only to him. After I explained that I was a vegetarian, I ordered the red beans and rice, which arrived with sausage, and no apology from the waiter. Also, they didn't have the wine we ordered. Overall, not a place I'd visit again intentionally.

NOLA's is a great place for a party. The atmosphere is fun, it's loud (with laughter), and the wait staff is accommodating. The quality of the food was much improved from the last time I ate here almost 2 years ago. I was thankful that I booked a table in advance, because the wait was up to 35 minutes while I was waiting for the rest of my party to arrive. Skip NOLA's if you're looking for an intimate, romantic date but if you're looking to share a few laughs with friends, have some adult beverage and sample cajun fare you can't go wrong with NOLA's!
