  • "If you enjoy being packed in like sardines with constant, headache-inducing noise then this is the place for you. Although the food is excellent and well presented the noise level plus, being bumped constantly by patrons and wait staff coming and going negate any semblance of a positive experience. Additionally, do not attempt to use the restroom! The night of my visit the sanitary line had backed up leaving behind......well you know. Funny, I thought the health department shuts down places with raw sewage inside the restaurant."

The waiter was very, very attentive and everyone in the restaurant was very hospitable (maybe it's a Texas thing)? The cotton candy dessert was too huge to eat...but there was NOTHING about the restaurant that I disliked...except the fact that I can only eat here when I'm in town since I live in another state."

  • "I took a friend there on a "second date." It was my first visit to this restaurant, and i was impressed from the moment I arrived and the valet took my car, until I left that evening. My date and I loved the artwork and ambiance. The service was excellent without being intrusive. The sommelier and wait staff were professional, yet attentive and friendly. Not an easy balance to achieve. We ordered off the premium wine list, which had some excellent choices by the glass. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the evening and will be back."

We were the only table (by our observation) that didn’t receive the beef display and full explanation of the various cuts, which I didn’t know existed and I would have enjoyed. Our wine didn’t arrive to our table until half way through our meal even though we asked for it prior to the entrée. When desert was served our waiter forgot to bring forks, which isn’t the end of the world but we were a bit surprised to see him stop and take another table’s order while we waited there forkless, watching our ice cream melt. In the end, we informed the manager (only because he inquired) and he ended up comping both the desert and wine, which was very nice of him. I have higher expectations at this level."

There was a piano playing near the kitchen. Our service was outstanding. The cesar salad was amazing. We each ordered 1/2 cesar, but that was still a very large salad since we had calamari, french fries, and onion strings as appetizers. I had the fish of the day, which was sea bass. It ranks among the top 5 fish dishes that I have ever had. I wish I lived in Dallas so that I could go back to Nick & Sam's."

  • "Food, as always, was wonderful, service was very attentive, the only issue would be being seated right next to the entrance to the dining room. The tables are close together and the foot traffic made it practically impossible to enjoy dinner. I was constantly being bumped and brushed against the entire time. Other than that, this is the prefect place for a beautiful dinner. You MUST save room for the red velvet cake.... or at least, ask for a piece to go. It is to die for!"

  • "It was our first time dining there, our server and other staff were amazing. He gave us a free sample of caviar to try out. He also made great suggestions and took the time to explain everything on the menu. The food and table servers were very attentive. When they brought the food, they explained the meal and pointed out everything that was on the plate. They added flavoring at our request and came back to check on us periodically. The dining experience alone was worth the pricey meal. On top of that, they had a live piano player providing music. Also, the art work and the dining area were AHMAZING!! I would definitely recommend it for a romantic evening out or if you're trying to impress your date or significant other :0)"

  • "Love, love , love! Cowboy steak, filet mignon, and t-bone cuts are amazing. Even the Seabass is good here too. Avoid the $20 oyster shooter. The combination if sake, quail egg, and oyster was the worse I've ever tasted. I'm a die hard fan of those three but I guess those combine turned out pretty gross. The foie gras is alright here."

My only complaint was we had a 9 pm reservation and was not seated until 9:45. This was not the fault of the restaurant as they were waiting for a party to leave. The manager on duty made it up to us by providing free appetizers and they were delicious. Will definitely go back!"

  • "As always Nick & Sam's delivers, period! It is one of our family favorites and there are few places in DFW where I do not mind going and dropping 5 bills for dinner. This restaurant is not for the frugal, budget minded, penny pincher. Those folks are never satisfied anywhere they go once they have spent more than $12.00 a plate. However, if you are looking for the whole package.............this one of those spots. Bring your Amex and have a great time!!"

They are one of the only restaurants with a full menu geared towards gluten-free options which was perfect for the birthday girl-she did not have to worry! The steak was one of the best we have ever had and the deviled eggs - AMAZING! Gluten free mac n cheese-never tasted so amazing! A great place to go anytime really!"

  • "I am a regular "steakhouse" diner. N&S has lost a step. The bar tables are now dinner tables so there is no comfortable place to have a drink or two and visit before dinner. The dinning rooms are also jammed with tables and it's hard to move around. The service was slow and out of four meals ordered, two of them were not cooked properly. At the prices they charge, 50% is not a good percentage. I would say N&S has out grown their space b/c it's far two crowded. The fire marshal will get them soon."
