  • "Went to dinner with two friends. Had previously been to the Keystone at the Crossing for lunch but this was the first time downtown. I had a salad (asparagus, almonds, etc.) which was delicious. Both of my friends ordered a pizza and for one of them it was too charred. The manager had another pizza prepared for my friend to take home. I had a pizza at the Keystone location and it was not too charred so this was probably just a random happening. Busy restaurant but our server (Joshua) was very attentive. Menu has many choices of salads and different varieties of pizzas. Will certainly eat here again. The ingredients are certainly fresh and I like the use of a lot of local vendors. "

  • "From the minute we arrived, the service was a challenge. We had reserv for 6PM. Arrived promptly - we were second in line behind a woman having an in-depth conversation with the mgr. at the check in desk. It was soon 6:10 - I finally interrupted the convo. to please be seated. We had a show at 7:30PM. It went downhill from there. Bus boy got us olives as waitress had not been to our table. At 6:30PM we received a drink and asked for small plates. 6:40PM she came back to the table and said our order "disappeared" from the computer. 6:55PM onto our second drink, we finally got our salad. Entrée showed up at 7PM. Food good but had to rush to eat. Napolese needs consistency. Same item tastes different at each locale."

  • "This was our first visit to Napolese and we were very impressed. It was a quiet birthday celebration and the food & service didn't disappoint. We mainly eat seasonal & fresh foods and try to buy local as much as possible. Napolese' partnerships with Indiana artisans was a draw. We could have made the meal on the amazing fresh salads alone but saved room for the flatbread pizzas. Luckily, we had some leftovers to enjoy the next day at lunch. Will return and will recommend to friends!"

  • "It's a great fleeing with the right look and energy for a night with friends. We've always enjoyed the local ingredients and the food is always good. The service usually is better than this experience. I wonder what happened. Four different servers were tripping over each other helping out our table of 4. They interrupted our conversation over and over. Someone gave us new forks while we were eating the first course instead of after and poked me with it because it was the wrong time for that. I hope that when we return all the people working this night are gone."

  • "I finally got a chance to visit Napolese, so glad I made it around! Their pizzas were fantastic and wine list excellent. I had a hard time hearing the waiter, he mumbled and spoke incredibly fast. He didn't come off as though he wanted to be there. He was personable in his own, weird way. I ordered a margarita pizza with prosciutto, my date ordered a "fix your own" with arugula, goat cheese and bacon. This place is worth it, we had such a great time!"

  • "Love this place. It is an unique place and has by far the best pizza in Indianapolis. The Service is fantastic as well. Definitely recommend going there."

  • "Napolese is always great. Even when meat isn't an option, there are really good options."

  • "I love this place. I would go there everyday to feed my pizza addiction if I could. The menu has so many options it's easy not to order the same thing twice. It's kinda like Buca de Beppo's in that it is more family style dining."

  • "This is an excellent restaurant. The employees have expertise in service and knowledge of the menu. The setting is fun...large windows to the vibrant Meridian Street, tall ceilings in an old city buulding. The food is GREAT."

  • "Loved the depth of gluten free options on the menu and that the restaurant takes the initiative. And the wine list is fantastic!"

  • "Found the noise level to be unacceptable, couldn’t hear my dinner date across the table, and the tables along the window were cramped at best. Food was nothing special but wasn’t bad either……Service was the best part of our experience. Dessert was ok, again, not fantastic. The fruit in the cobbler was bland and almost tasteless but the gelato helped disguise. I would not make a special effort to return."

  • "Napolese offered us great food and good service for our evening out. The staff was very friendly and prompt with service. If I had to give a suggestion for improvement, it would be the staff doesn't need to hover quite so much. Better to be overly attentive than not attentive enough, though. Overall a wonderful experience, we will definitely be back!"

  • "As with all of the Patachou restaurants, this one did not disappoint. Pizza was freshly made and reminded me of what we had in Firenza. Will definitely go there again."

  • "We've dined here several times, but have always been seated on the "quite" side of the wall. This time we were seated near the front door on the family side. It was a little too noisy for our liking with many small kids in the area...and too much noise and cold air from the door as well. the food is good, the wine is good, and the service is great....just ask for the quite side."

  • "Since moving to Indy about 2 years ago I've heard nothing but good things about Napolese. I finally decided to go. My girlfriend and I split the BLT pizza and it was incredible! The jowl bacon was so tender and delicious. The leeks were tender and the crust was light and so flavorful. I spent the next two days singing the praises of Napolese to anyone who would listen. I would happily go there again and I'm looking forward to trying the other pizzas."

  • "Not my fist time at the restaurant but decided to take advantage of the devour promotion. Unfortunately, my server decided since I was ordering from the devour menu I was trying to be the cheap ticket and let me know this. I was a table for 4 and had planned on ordering additional food but was cut off MID ORDER by my server and very rudely told I needed to order additional menu items! If he would have allowed me to finish he would have heard the rest of my order! As a restaurant, if you dislike the devour promotion then please don't participate in it."

  • "Chose from the Devour Downtown menu (goat cheese appetizer, arugula salad, Hamaker's Corner pizza, apple cobbler). Each course was really tasty, and more food than the two of us could eat. The service was attentive and courteous, despite a completely full restaurant. But a completely full restaurant means crowded and loud, so it was difficult to talk to my companion. Did overhear some interesting conversations nearby, however!"

  • "Very good food and service which is well done. Appreciate the use of local products as possible and seasonal. Would have appreciated a larger table but the waiter always keep it cleared without being obtrusive. It would have also been nice to have a place to check coats. Will return and recommend."

  • "This was our first visit to Napolese and we selected it during the Devour Downtown promotion. The menu offered for this promotion was delicious and definitely great value for the money. The brussels sprout salad is one of the best salads I have ever eaten and the pizza we selected with beef brisket and potato was truly amazing. The service was also fantastic even though the restaurant was very busy. We will definitely be back. What a great find in downtown Indianapolis."

  • "We really enjoyed our dinner at Napolese. The food was outstanding and our server was a lot of fun. We ordered the roasted brussel sprout salad, which had a nice balance of flavors, and the buffalo margherita pizza, which was a great option for vegetarians. We also had the apple cobbler with cinnamon gelato for dessert. This was the perfect dessert on a cold day. Regardless of the time of year of your visit, I would highly recommend getting the gelato, as they make their own."

  • "You can hardly hear yourself think, let alone have a conversation with your dining companion that your neighbors won't hear word for word (because you basically have to scream at each other over the noise). The service was wonderful, attentive, and the food was quite good and well thought out. It would be nice to not be so crowded (the whole back banquet was 2 tops....you had to be VERY careful when leaving or you might take your neighbor's drink or dinner with you!) and to have a more manageable noise level. I would hope it's not quite as loud for lunch??"

  • "The waiter was pretentious and arrogant. The service we received was sub-par compared to the service that was given to other guests. There was a feeling that we were not welcome and it was evidently showed in our waiter's lack of cordiality. I will never come back to this restaurant and will make sure that I tell all of my associates and colleagues how terrible the service was."

  • "Enjoyed our experience. Happened upon 1/2 price bottle of wine night. Thought the brussel sprout, winter squash pizza was quite heavy (though the ingredients were all very well-prepared and fresh), it needed some brightening up. Waitress was attentive and promptly brought us some delicious red sauce upon request, for our otherwise heavy pizza. Would definitely go again- would definitely not order that pizza again, it just wasn't for me."

  • "I wish there would of been more table space for our drinks and individual pizzas for the 4 of us. Felt very crammed and removed waters to make room. Otherwise everything was good. Even after our dinner was over our waters were always kept filled!"

  • "The food was fantastic! Everything we had was delicious and fresh. Love the decor. Plenty of options to choose from. LOVE the selection of local ingredients- I think the server said about 95% local ingredients."

  • "Very smart, well thought out restaurant. Even if the food weren't good, I'd come back just for the martini with jumbo capers. But the food is good, too. It is an expertly executed tasty menu. Okay, when all is said and done it's pizza, but very fresh and tasty pizza, originally made and well served."

  • "I came here for lunch on my own. I was seated at the bar (which was fine). Once my server showed up, he was pleasant and helpful. Then, I waited. And waited. Seems my pizza was delivered to a different diner. I had to wait for a second one. They apologized, but that didn't really help me, did it? Once it arrived, it didn't live up to the hype. The thin crust was soggy and doughy. It was spicey. Italian food should be seasoned with herbs. Everyone around me received their checks, but I had to ask for mine. Given all the problems, I expected a discount. There was none. I won't be back. I won't recommend Napolese Pizzeria (quite the opposite)."

  • "We visited on a trip to the Cross Roads Classic and it was perfect. Very conveniently located and we could get reservations when most other close by restaurants were filled up. Service was good. Salad was outstanding. Everything else was very good as well. Will certainly stop here again if we get back to Indy."

  • "Great little place with thin crust, artisanal pizza. A slightly upscale riff on the classic pie - without getting too pretentious about it. Nice appetizer selection too - not the same old stuff. Staff was polite, waiter knew the menu & wine list and made great recommendations. One of the few places open downtown on a Sunday night that isn't super pricey or fast food."

  • "App was good. We got something w/ goat cheese. I ordered a certain pizza and they brought me the wrong one. I have never been there before and ate the one they gave me and later found out it was the wrong one. If you want something good stick to a classic entre'."

  • "Napolese was just ok...not great but, not entirely bad either. It is pretty noisy on a Saturday night and the tables are stacked on top of each other so, don't expect much privacy. Pizza was acceptable but nothing I would make a special trip to eat. It is a long way from being equal to Some Guys Pizza or even Bazbeaux. Servers were attentive and friendly."
