We have been to SAVOR multiple times over the last 5 years and always had exceptional service and food, except this time we were sorely disappointed. I have never not finished my meal due to poor taste or quality yet I did not finish 2 of my 4 courses - my dessert was still partly frozen unfortunately and had not been thawed appropriately. I am very sad to see the quality go down so quickly and hope SAVOR can turn things around, back to how things used to be.

We had a lovely experience at Savor for my husband’s birthday. I was a little apprehensive about making a reservation since we had to have my 6 year-old son tag along, but the staff was very accommodating and took care of us. The whole staff was made of culinary students who were doing on-the-job training, and by knowing that, the environment is very patient and forgiving on both the staff and guest sides. The students are very thorough with everything that they do, so expect a more formal dining experience as opposed to casual. Our reservation was originally for 6:30 pm, but we arrived at the Pearl around 5:45 and called to see if we could be seated earlier. “Matt” was on the other side of the phone, and invited us to come early and enjoy our dinner. We walked over to the entrance and the staff was waiting and opened the doors for us and had as promptly seated. Matt ended up becoming our waiter as well and took care of us the rest of the night. He did a great job explaining the concept of the restaurant and how the courses work. We ordered three cocktails over the course of the night, and both my husband and I ordered the 3 course meal. My son is a very picky eater and had dinner prior to us leaving, but Matt made sure that he had a great experience as well and brought a bowl of fresh fruit over for my son to enjoy! It was very considerate and thoughtful, and we didn’t even have to ask, it was offered. The food was a sensory delight and truly a work of art. Every bite was delicious and left us wanting more. The crab squash blossom was my personal favorite, followed by the steak and then the shrimp. Overall, our experience was amazing. Was the check pretty steep at the end of the night? Yes. But was it worth it? Absolutely. Knowing that my money goes to students like Matt who are learning how to provide excellence gives me the satisfaction enough. We will definitely go again if the menu rotates soon and hope to have another wonderful experience.

Our waiter Devin was wonderful! The food was delicious and the experience was unforgettable. We are visiting from NC and a chef friend who is a graduate of CIA New York recommended we try this. Our party of four all enjoyed their food. Thank you Chef Guzman and crew. Fantastic!

I must first explain that I'm the child of a master baker and professional cook and was born in the old country. Yes, I was taught how to cook at home. So here goes. Great food and experience. A culinary adventure! The food was at the correct temperature, consistency and had outstanding flavor profiles. Nothing was over or under cooked. Nothing was put in the proverbial microwave and served scalding hot.. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. The one thing they did not do is come over and ask you how the food was while you were trying to eat it. I never could understand why the typical server does that in your average restaurant. The only issue was the noise level once the restaurant was full, but then that's more of American culture combined with open architecture. Upon leaving I thought , finally a restaurant with food that I can't cook better at home. Definitely will have to come back.

Had a great experience at Savor. The food was great. Some interesting dishes, all very tasty. The restaurant is pretty small so book in advance. The value for the quality of food and service is really hard to beat. Plus supporting the education and training of some future great chefs.
