Diner Reviews
  • "We ordered fillets and they were fantastic, our only negative would be the water, it tastes rather funky even in a mixed drink. It was the same way in the casino so obviously it is the main water that tastes bad, with the prices they are in the Steakhouse I would suggest using bottled water. Great waiter/service, we will be back!"

  • "My wife and I went to Mystic Steakhouse for our 1 year wedding anniversary. The food and service was fantastic. I highly recommend going for dinner."

  • "Very poor service from our waitress. She didnt ask to refill waters, didnt ask if we wanted dessert, I had a hard chunk in my oyster and let her know, all she said was "thats weird", didnt ask if I would like anything else or to take it off the bill."

  • "Three of us had dinner on Saturday and we all enjoyed our meals. There was an event at the casino and even though we had reservations, we were seated about 20 minutes late, so we were rushed to get to our concert. But the meal was great and the service was great once we sat down for dinner. We would all return for another meal in the future."

  • "The place was crowded, that's fine, and we were seated and waited on quickly. We were seated next to the room that allows smoking (what's with that ... oh yeah, we're on a reservation ... but can't they wait until they can get back to the casino to have a smoke?). Even with the doors shut, we could still smell the smoke and 3 in the party had stuffed up noses which didn't enhance the meal. Jennifer was great as a server ... very friendly and efficient and the food was very good. Enjoyable except for the smoke."

  • "Went for a very special birthday dinner with friend in town for the weekend. It wasn't anything special. Food was fine, drinks good, service ok."

  • "When I made the reservation I indicated it was my wife's birthday, however no mention of it was made. Disappointed!!"

  • "I had the Ribeye/Shrimp Combo with salad and my date had the Prime Rib with salad. She had a glass of house wine and I had a VT. The meal was less than $70. Plus, it was my birthday so we shared a free desert. Wish they had other vegetable options other than asparagus (I don't like asparagus), but otherwise a nice way to spend my birthday. Got plenty to eat with a Ribeye sandwich the day after. We did not gamble so that made the price even a better deal!"

  • "Imade reservations for my wife on her bday 7/19. Food , service, and enviorment exceeded my expectations. . Only complaint was reservations were at 7:30 it was after 8 before we were seated.."

  • "The food and service were great. Our steaks were done to perfection."

  • "Great place for a fine meal inside a Casino--thus, the "gem in the neighborhood". Swordfish and Petite Filet melted in the mouth and 'fell apart' as fine steaks do when well-prepared--delicious meal! Great service. Highly recommended."

  • "Been here twice...The atmosphere aims for higher end, but the clientele and food make it feel more like an Outback - lots of families and people in jeans and t shirts, competently cooked steaks, and plenty of salt on everything. The service both times was extremely hurried. No chitchat, no romancing the menu, just a polite "Are you ready to order" and a "Can I bring you dessert" five minutes before you're done with the entree. Nine of this is to say it was a bad experience. The prices are reasonable for the quality, the food comes out quickly, and the beer and wine list are just long enough. But don't expect Ruth's Chris."

  • "We waited 20 minutes to see our waitress. Water was delivered immediately but she was too busy with other tables. She finally got our drink order and we waited another 10 minutes for our order to be taken, another 10 minutes for salads, and 15 more minutes for our dinner. We watched others around us sit, dine, and leave during the time we were there. We were practically invisible. Worst of all no one seemed to care!"

  • "My wife, self and friends had dinner. One must go through a huge casino to find this restaurant Quit a trek for my wife who uses a walker. We had the rib-eye steak and our friends had prime rib. All was fine. Service was average. Wine list was limited. We were hoping for exceptional food. It was not. Perhaps the Buffet in their other restaurant is better. We wanted to be served a made to feel special. It was just an average meal and experience."

  • "The ambiance made the place this time. My salad and dessert were fine but the pork porterhouse was tough and dry and they promised sweet potato hash browns and I got diced white potatoes. Disappointment. This is one meal I should have sent back. This won't stop me. I know their rib eye is outstanding and I won't mess around the next time."

  • "We went with a small group to celebrate birthdays and had a wonderful steak and lobster special. It was just the right size for us women..3 oz of filet and 5 oz of lobster. The men ordered larger steaks and prime rib.. All the food was excellent: well prepared and very tasty. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends."

  • "Can't take the odor.....ruins food atmosphere.....I am in non smoking area, but the heaviness, stink, and staleness is totally all around."

  • "Very classy restaurant with many dining choices. Shrimp Scampi was the best I've ever eaten. The service was excellent."

  • "The four of us ordered steak. My petite filet mignon was excellent. My grandson and son had ribeyes which they said were quite fatty and disappointing in texture and taste. My grandson said he prefers the strip steak at Applebee's---I take him there often for steak, one of his favorite foods. The calamari was great with its tasty light breading as was the warm pumpernickel/rye bread with raisins and nuts: delicious! Wild rice soup was average, veggies (baked potato, asparagus) were tasty. Obviously, the disappointment with the steaks made the pricing hard to accept, especially since we were celebrating my son's 50th birthday........"

  • "The "kids" took us there for Father's day.......it was recommended by a friend who said the Filet Mignon was the best she had ever eaten and "melted" in your mouth.....she tends to exaggerate everything --this time she was right."

  • "Good service, food was average. There wasn't noting that would make me want to go back and visit too soon. Small portion size for what you pay."

  • "Such great care in taking order, checking on customers, and helpful staff."

  • "The steak was so tender, I could have cut it with a knife. The cheese topping on the steak was the best ever! The lobster was delicious. It was not accompanied with melted butter, so I asked for it. I do like my lobster with melted butter, but that is just me. I did not care for the sauce it came with, but that is just me. The salad was good also. My husbands' prim rib was very good."

  • "Always enjoy going to the Steak House as we have always been happy with the service and especially the food. We were disappointed that they removed the vegetable from the entre. Would it cost that much more to include it with the meal? We were happy when they returned the salad to the meal as that was gone for awhile. Not sure why they felt they had to make these changes. We always recommend the Steakhouse when we are looking for a place to dine with friends. I was taken back when I received an email saying that we had not kept our reservation, when in fact we had. They could probably instruct the front desk to make sure they check people in when they come. Don't want any restaurant to think that we do not keep our reservations."

  • "The restaurant was very chilly when we first walked in and remained so throughout our dinner. Our order of crab cakes arrived stone cold, so we sent them back. The second order was better and tasty, though quite small. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, but my baked potato was way over cooked and only warm inside. But, the worst part of our dining experience was the cigarette smoke wafting around the entire restaurant from their smoking section. We were very surprised to learn they even had a smoking section, given most all restaurants any more are smoke-free. This was our second visit to Mystic Steakhouse, and I doubt we go back for a third unless we don't want to get in our car and leave the casino to find another restaurant."

  • "Food and service seems to go down each time we eat here. We live locally so we go to Mystic for meals quite regularly. Minnehaha cafe has better food and service than the steakhouse, not sure we will go back there as the quality continues to degrade. "
