A word from Moscow 57
Moscow 57 is a New York City-based hospitality and entertainment company. Founder Ellen Kaye, whose family owned The Russian Tea Room from 1947-1996 and partner Seth Goldman have created Moscow 57 Entertaining a catering company and record label on the road to opening Moscow 57, a restaurant with live music. Moscow 57, the restaurant, will feature Russian Central Asian food and great music from a New Yorker's perspective.

Our Moscow 57 menu encompasses a panoramic multi-national cuisine made up of classic Russian, Georgian, Belarussian, Ukrainian dishes and the flavors of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The foods of Central Asia and the Caucasus are the lesser-known, lighter and healthier fare of warmer climes and fit contemporary tastes and life styles.

Diner Reviews
  • "The live music and fun atmosphere was awesome. The food was ok but great for appetizers and a night of great atmosphere."

  • "I love Moscow 57! Ellen Kaye, the host, works the room like the pro she is. The live musical entertainment is varied and dynamic on any given evening. It's a real old style arts salon and there have been recently some great one evening events with local (Lower East Side) artists, authors and entertainers. With all the fly by night trendy restaurants in the neighborhood catering to the bridge and tunnel crowd, it's a blessing and a delight to have a true artistic and personable crew working the front of the house, serving up some yummy food. BTW, Did anyone mention Pistachio Shrimp? Yum!"

  • "Made a reservation for 13 which could easily have been accommodated. We ended up being only 9 and had a great evening. The live music was fun and not so loud as to disturb dinner - it created a great atmosphere. We stood up after eating and gathered near the bar, no one rushed us out - our server even gave us access to the incredible chocolate bowl. Such a great place, will definitely have more parties here in the future."

  • "We didn't expect to end up at Moscow57, in fact we never heard of it. But we were downtown and were hankering some Russian food. A quick yelp search turned this place up. What a pleasant surprise! They're newly opened and their menu is somewhat limited, but they had great borscht, magically infused vodka, and a rose petal yogurt that makes your taste buds dance! They have live music every night and the talent was choice. Some jazz classics and easy listening made for a nice romantic, candle-lit evening. We will be returning for sure!"

  • "We had dinner Saturday night at Moscow 57. From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and felt as if we entered a really special place. Ellen Kaye was at the mike singing! and she was a joy to watch and hear. Our dinner was very good, and filling. Loves the blinis and the cherry rice! We dined for 3 hours, were never rushed and enjoyed the wonderful experience. The entertainment was fantastic. Loved when Ellen joined in to sing with Cleve Douglas and the band. Many times both Ellen and Mike (who was behind the bar managing everything) sat for a few moments at our table chatting with us. When we finally left, we felt as if we were part of the Moscow 57 family!"

  • "I've adored Moscow 57 since it opened on Delancey Street in late January. It's a great spot to have a good time and eat, a hipster version of a Brighton Beach Russian restaurant. This dinner was my third time at this homey Russian cabaret and it did not disappoint. The vibe in the dining room is laid back and familiar down to it's mismatched plate settings. Ellen (the Owner) mingles with the customers, periodically mounting the small stage for a performance of lively cabaret and blues standards. The infused vodka drinks behind the bar are top notch and chef Seth's small plates hits the spot (being a Russian gal, there's a variety of salat, blini and caviar that strike me as pretty authentic.)"

  • "Outstanding evening! We tried the newly opened Moscow 57 with another couple. The food we chose was exquisite. Like Russian tapas but generous. Loved the yogurt dish! Must order their specialty drink of vodka, ginger & other Yums! The service was outstanding. Each of the waitstaff was genuinely friendly & knowledgeable. The added treat was the super band & songstress! We're going to move downtown so we can make this our neighborhood favorite. I can't wait to return. Absolutely recommend."
