  • "The entire staff - hostess, maitre d, waitress, and even the busser - were very attentive and considerate. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, and the side orders and dessert were delicious. The restaurant was quiet and peaceful, very nice after a long work day. "

  • "The atmosphere in the restaurant is very upscale, relaxing and romantic. You expect to pay a premium for the environment. While the steak was very well prepared the $58 price (ala-cart) was certainly not justified. Once again the what Morton's offers is the ambiance, the service, the romantic candlelight dinner atmosphere cannot be met by lesser establishments. As a self proclaimed foodie I could not recommend Morton's based on the food alone, the prices erase any value the preparation of the food established. I would venture to guess the prices are a necessary business proposition however as our 7:30 pm Sunday evening reservation wasn't needed. Roughly 10% of the tables were occupied."

  • "The food was no better than any much lower priced chain restaurant/steakhouse. The steaks were very good cuts but they were cooked hard on the outside probably due to the type of grill used. The very large asparagus did not appear or taste like they had been steamed at all. The shrimp with the mixed grill were overlooked. Both the shrimp and scallops were over seasoned. My husband ordered the twice baked potatoes au gratin; these were very soupy. The natural flavors of the food was hidden. Even with improvements, the menu items are shamefully overpriced. We felt as if we had been duped and we felt quite foolish for choosing Morton's. A very expensive, disappointing experience!!"

  • "We had a wonderful time at Morton's The Steakhouse in San Antonio. We had a business meeting and all were entertained by the wonderful food and the excellent atmosphere. We did not expect the large portions that were served to us. The salads are almost entire meals to themselves. The steaks were excellent even though we did have some problems with the temperature of some steaks. There were two of our steaks that were served rare when asked for medium. Overall the experience was enjoyable."

  • "This was a very pleasant experience. ...very romantic. I love dimly lit restaurants. We ordered everything on their seasonal menu (Beet salad, wild mushroom side, sweet potato dish, porcini steak, bacon steak and a couple of other dishes. We liked everything but not as much as our usual...typical prime rib steak with mashed potatoes. The wild mushroom mix was cold when we received it so that kinda ruined that flavor. The service was excellent as always. Its a very comfortable environment and with very attentive staff...a little too attentive at cuz I felt ever time I opened my mouth to eat somebody was asking me if everything was ok. Will return and definitely recommend. Very pricey so go on payday!"

  • "Inattentive staff both bar area and dining. could not order a drink for clients in the bar where I waited for their arrival. they initiated going ahead and being seated. Frankly it was a issue to even pay the bar tab. Dining area, too many tables too close together, insanely loud due to the volume of people creating an impossible environment to have business discusssions. final straw was the wait staff just presented themselves as slow, but this was a trend at all restaurants and hotels in the downtown area. The food was not on par with my Previous Mortons dining experiences. I was disappointed."

  • "I have dined at many different Morton's locations for many years. The last few years have been poor experiences, regardless of the city we are in. Recently, we dined at Morton's in San Antonio, Texas. The service was extremely poor. The bread was good, as always, and the salad was wonderful, but waiting 45 minutes between salad and entre' was not good and very frustrating. The steak was supposed to be medium and it was well done and dried out. The lobster tail tasted very fishy, as though it was not fresh. We had a very bad experience and could not recommend this restaurant to anyone. My husband and I will always look for an alternative restaurant before settling for another bad experience at a Morton's restaurant."

  • "I have been to this restaurant several times and this past Sat (15 Feb 2014) was the absolute worst. First off, people were allowed to dine in this establishment wearing shorts, flip flops, and jeans etc....never have I seen anything like these before from a establishment with reputation it wants to carry or boast about. Secondly, the food was horrible, I ordered a porterhouse steak which was not cook as order and to make matters worst it was serve not hot. ..My wife and I brought four friends to dine with us and they were looking forward to the meal because we had talked the establishment up so much...I was so embarrassed as Morton's failed big time. Never again will I dine at this place....."

We sat in front of the ovens so the kids could watch the chefs cook, and the adults enjoyed a wonderful Pinot Noir. We ordered everything from seafood, scallops and lobster, to some wonderful steaks and shared it all family style, then finished with some excellent deserts that where recommended by our waiter. The location was great since we where staying at The Menger Hotel just steps away! We will be back!"

  • "Over the years, Morton's has become our go to restaurant for celebrations and special events. We can always count on the service and food to be exceptional and this visit didn't disappoint. My wife's filet was a little overcooked, but my rib eye was perfect. The crab cake and Shrimp Alexander were wonderful. Salads and sides were very good as usual. Dessert of molten chocolate lava cake and key lime pie were over the top. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Overall, another fine visit."

Everyone entering the restaurant walked past our table and the aisle was so narrow that they ran their butts across the tabletop. Our server was horribly inattentive. He never did bring my me glass of wine for the meal that I ordered. After we were served our meal, he never once returned. AND YET, he had the table next to us and was regularly attending to them and walking right by us. The food was mediocre. My filet was cooked poorly. The potato sides had little flavor."

  • "The filet was cooked to perfection, but I wouldn't recommend adding the Oscar to it. The slices of asparagus were mushy instead of being crispy. Our server did a disappearing act after serving the steaks and we had to flag down another server to help us. We also had to ask for the dessert offerings and after dinner drinks after he had brought the check. We were early, so it wasn't because it was crowded."
